Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

This is exactly why I love staying at the Beach Club. There are great counter service options to be found in EPCOT, so although it is not a sit down dinner, you are just steps from exotic Moroccan cuisine, yummy Japanese offerings, Fish & Chips and my all-time favorite counter service Sunshine Seasons. Kona Café is good and the portions are huge. My family would be comfortable sharing 3 meals with 4 people.

We haven't been to Via Napoli, but I hear their pizza servings are huge and delicious.

La Hacienda is our newest must-do counter service. They have a couple of options for meals for two- Again, enough food to share with more than 2 people, so that you don't need to order entrees for everyone.

We find that at a lot of Disney (and local) restaurants. Our family of four will order 2-3 entrees and supplement with a salad to share and/or appetizers.

:thumbsup2

Agree about Sunshine Seasons

These are all good suggestions. Via Napoli's pizzas are huge. Two of us usually split a small, and if we're especially hungry we'll order a salad with it. Also, don't forget the French bakery. The quiche, sandwiches and salads all make nice meals, but be sure to leave room for the delicious desserts!

Good to know about the pizzas at Via. We've never been and have an ADR there. I had suggested to DH to split a single pizza and salad but he thought it might not be enough. Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

It wouldn't be enough for DH & I. I have a light to average appetite & with salad I eat 3 of 4 slices. I don't have an appetizer or dessert. DH has salad, all of an individual pizza & dessert.

Anyone try Trattoria al forno at the Boardwalk? We have an adr there, maybe I will change it to il mulino.

Do they supply coffee for the room at the BC?

Yes, coffee pods for the Cuisinart machines in the room (see Post 13 or 14 on Page 1). I think they start you off with 2 regular pods and 2 decaf, I always need to request more from housekeeping.

We also had a long discussion about a week ago about the coffeemaker and where to buy pods if you want to bring some of your own.

We had a very good experience at Trattoria in May: excellent service and tasty food. I believe I could've made a meal just out of the delicious bread and salad!

Il Mulino is on my list of restaurants to try; I just haven't been able to fit it in to any of our trips so far. It probably would be a great option as well.

Myself, DH and DD7 finished off a large last week

That's impressive! :thumbsup2

I will revise my previous post and say that a small pizza and the family-style salad might not be enough for two adults. Of course, I always think that if I'm still hungry after polishing off an entrée that a decadent dessert is called for! :rotfl:

I hope I'm not misleading you! The small pizza and the family-style salad are enough for the two of us, but guys with heartier appetites might be able to polish off the large pizza. The pizzas are thin, so a hungry guy might need more than a small pizza.

You'll be able to tell better when you're at the restaurant and see the size of the pizzas. Enjoy!

No worries! It's all good especially if I still have room for dessert and I can get my own and not split one!!:goodvibes

Do you remember where this came from? I thought it was All Those Ears, but I just checked and the listing from there is from Dec 2015 BW (Before Waffles). The DIS restaurant link doesn't list menus for the Marketplace.

Thanks!!!

:thumbsup2
So the waffles would be considered quick service? :-)

We did on our October F&W trip. We enjoyed it,:thumbsup2 from memory good lasagna and one in the party had a pasta Bolognese. I remember reading about the Pasta Bolognese and it has meat on top, a little different than you would typically expect, but our friend enjoyed it. Service was good and our ADR was honored on time. On our October ADR list again. Enjoy if you go!:goodvibes

Easternshoregal, thanks for posting and ENJOY:goodvibes your trip! LOOKING FORWARD:banana: to seeing some renovated room pics!
