Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I was just at Disney last month with a bounceback to Coronado for December 2017, but I've decided I can't wait - I just booked a long weekend in January (1/25-1/29) at Coronado. I can't wait to check out this resort. Any tips for that time of year? I've never been in January.

I'm planning to request Cabana's section. I have a standard room booked, so I thought that would be a good location between El Centro and the Dig Site. Does that seem good? Anything really good at the food court I should check out?

Maybe someone else can chime in here?? I don't do coffee. I used snack credits for huge cupcakes and Starbucks, etc. Not at CSR.

I never tried it as I had refillable mugs and the menu didn't show the DDP icon next to any of them. It doesn't hurt to ask when you get there though!

Yes, Cabanas 8A and 8B are our favorite locations. Close to pool and nice walk just over the bridge to food court. One thing they did not have last time was hot chocolate for the refillable mugs, which kids were looking forward to(did have at POP and AKL) so we bring packets just in case.
We are looking forward to hot chocolate in our refillable mugs next month. We don't do coffee or tea and try to limit the pop. Anyone know if they normally have hot chocolate for the mugs??

Looks like we will be staying at CSR in Feb.
We booked a standard room, 2 queens.

Any recommendations for when it's time for us to make a room request?
Whether it's a particular room you like or a section, I'd be interested in hearing why you liked it.
Have never stayed at CSR so quite the newbie to the resort.
TIA!

Anyone have a picture of the soda machines? I'm curious which soda's they offer. I know it's coke products but some resorts have slightly different varieties (ie: CBR has the pomegranate lemonade).

I've only stayed at CSR once before. We were in a standard room in Ranchos 6A. It wasn't a very convenient location to anything other than the main pool, so I plan on requesting something different next time. However, I do find Ranchos to be the most visually appealing. I really liked the rock landscaping with the cacti blooming. I also liked the appearance of the buildings the best. It's all personal preference though.

Does anybody have a picture of the vending machines for laundry detergent? Also, does anybody have an idea of how much laundry service from the hotel is? I'm curious about price comparison. It's vacation...

We love Cabanas 8A and 8B - close to bus stop and the main pool, and a short walk over the bridge to the food court. Also, quiet pool and laundry are in 9A so easy to access as well.

Sorry. No pics of the vending machines themselves. But when I was there, I did a couple loads while sitting at the pool right next to the laundry. It was no big deal. I believe at that time ... 2012 ... that it was $.75 for any laundry item purchased.

These 3-in-1 laundry sheets are really nice though. They are super light weight, they're flat, and they are not messy. Laundry soap, and dryer sheet all together! My daughter took these with her to college when she went to France. Pack a few of these and you don't have to pay a lot for soap!
