Super excited! I'm attending a conference here the first week of June 2017! We are dvc members and will move to dvc after the conference ends

We have a husband/wife trip booked for early January. We have never stayed at a Disney moderate before. We booked a standard room. What request should I put in to be near the main food courts as much as possible, and also, do they have an espresso bar where I can get a nice cup of coffee in the mornings? We stayed at the beach club this summer, and I was very disappointed they did not have this. I'm a coffee snob and like something equivalent to Starbucks:-).

QUESTION: The bathroom vanity at CSR.... Shelf below or none? I've googled and have seen equal numbers of pix with shelf as without.
The reason I ask is bc when there is a shelf under the vanity I bring along folding boxes (from dollar store) to organize toiletries on the shelf.

I've only stayed 9B and all the rooms have had a shelf under the vanity. I also bring those boxes to organizour stuff. I leave right on top. Plenty of room.

I also bring one for the desk or on the tv mantle/dresser for "important things". Magic bands, pin lanyards, keys etc.

What a great idea! I am totally going to do that!!!

Several Dis-posters have mentioned folding boxes for organization. I want to try that for this trip. What size are the boxes? Is it something like this?

If not, can someone post a link or a picture to the boxes that you are talking about?

Love them!

Yes. Like those but not as tall.
I get them at DollarTree stores. https://www.dollartree.com/Essentia...ro?green=D5223416-8145-5E7C-0436-57099E2ECFCA

That is the size I use for organizing the bathroom items. I get itat the dollar tree for a buck.

I use a lower style one for our "important stuff". It's probably 12x9x6

Other must brings are extension cords for charging. Outlets are limited. From what I've read the refurb will add additional outlets and charging ports.

I have stayed in Casitas and Cabanas, and both had the shelf under the vanity. I used 4 foldable cubes for each persons toiletries, and 4 of them fit perfectly!

Any other organization / packing stuff on his thread. Would take me forever to go thru all these pages.
Every once and while a disboards thread pops up about packing tips. You can do a search of the forum (not just this thread) for words like "pack tips" or "what do you pack" I've gotten so great advice there, including the one about the folding organizer cubes.

I was just at Disney last month with a bounceback to Coronado for December 2017, but I've decided I can't wait - I just booked a long weekend in January (1/25-1/29) at Coronado. I can't wait to check out this resort. Any tips for that time of year? I've never been in January.

I'm planning to request Cabana's section. I have a standard room booked, so I thought that would be a good location between El Centro and the Dig Site. Does that seem good? Anything really good at the food court I should check out?

I think the room request sounds good and I recommend the churros in the food court :) They are different from the theme park variety and so yummy when warm.

Yum! Do you recall if the food court churros could be purchased with a snack credit on the dining plan?

Yes, Cabanas 8A and 8B are our favorite locations. Close to pool and nice walk just over the bridge to food court. One thing they did not have last time was hot chocolate for the refillable mugs, which kids were looking forward to(did have at POP and AKL) so we bring packets just in case.
