I was just at Disney last month with a bounceback to Coronado for December 2017, but I've decided I can't wait - I just booked a long weekend in January (1/25-1/29) at Coronado. I can't wait to check out this resort. Any tips for that time of year? I've never been in January.
I'm planning to request Cabana's section. I have a standard room booked, so I thought that would be a good location between El Centro and the Dig Site. Does that seem good? Anything really good at the food court I should check out?
Do those coffees listed above count as a snack credit?IMGP7137 by Ilivetogo toFL, on Flickr

Maybe someone else can chime in here?? I don't do coffee. I used snack credits for huge cupcakes and Starbucks, etc. Not at CSR.
Do you know if they have soy, or other nondairy options for the coffee drinks?Yes, the coffees count as snack credit. We love the cinnamon iced coffee (frozen)
We are looking forward to hot chocolate in our refillable mugs next month. We don't do coffee or tea and try to limit the pop. Anyone know if they normally have hot chocolate for the mugs??Yes, Cabanas 8A and 8B are our favorite locations. Close to pool and nice walk just over the bridge to food court. One thing they did not have last time was hot chocolate for the refillable mugs, which kids were looking forward to(did have at POP and AKL) so we bring packets just in case.

I've only stayed at CSR once before. We were in a standard room in Ranchos 6A. It wasn't a very convenient location to anything other than the main pool, so I plan on requesting something different next time. However, I do find Ranchos to be the most visually appealing. I really liked the rock landscaping with the cacti blooming. I also liked the appearance of the buildings the best. It's all personal preference though.Looks like we will be staying at CSR in Feb.
We booked a standard room, 2 queens.
Any recommendations for when it's time for us to make a room request?
Whether it's a particular room you like or a section, I'd be interested in hearing why you liked it.
Have never stayed at CSR so quite the newbie to the resort.
TIA!
Anyone have a picture of the soda machines? I'm curious which soda's they offer. I know it's coke products but some resorts have slightly different varieties (ie: CBR has the pomegranate lemonade).
Are there any standard rooms in the Casitas and if I request this is it a good chance we'll get it?

Does anybody have a picture of the vending machines for laundry detergent? Also, does anybody have an idea of how much laundry service from the hotel is? I'm curious about price comparison. It's vacation...
