Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

On page one of this thread it refers to wireless access. Is there still a fee for this? I somehow thought that wireless access was available for free all over WDW -- parks, resorts, restaurants, etc, can someone clarify this for me? I am getting soooo excited!! October 28, hurry up!!

Does anyone know if there are any plans for updating the rooms anytime soon? We love staying at CS with the pool and great bus service. However we felt the rooms were looking a like they needed some touching up last year.

I've booked different ways. I've done bounce back, book a room only and then added a package when they came out, and just waited for packages. If you have your heart set on a specific room then book the room only. If you can book a bounce back, it's usually the most economical.

It's very easy to change your reservations and won't cost any extra for the change as long as it's more than 45 days out. Any upgrades or anything costing more you'll have to pay of course, but it'll be part of your total. This year I changed resorts, then changed dates, then added free dining. Very easy.

Thanks for the info, I won't have a bounce back, but I think booking a package as soon as the dates are available is my best plan, we know the dates and want to stay in BC at CSR. It seems I can change it if special offers come out later. Thanks again!

It's been free for a few years now. Internet speed in your room will probably be very slow. It was slow or nonexistent for me at CSR in October 2013.

When is everyone going?? I would love to say "Hi" to some of my DIS peeps while we are there. I can add them to this (my) post if people want! Would be neat to see how many of us actually are there around the same time!

We will be there Sept. 2-9! Anyone else care to share :grouphug:

We will be there Sept. 12-21

Yes, that is where I got the cost, but the sentence associated is confusing (ship to/from) and I thought maybe I should ask to confirm. Thank you.

" If you want to ship anything to the resort in advance you will be directed to ship it here. "

Okay. Someone else will have to try to explain it. It seems to say if you want to ship to the resort you will have to ship it to the business center and there will be a fee. It doesn't seem confusing to me but I've only had Garden Grocer deliver to CSR and there is no fee assessed by CSR for that.

I think the difference is for shipments when you may not be in your room and through shipping companies like UPS and FedEx. Those are delivered to the Ricoh Business Center and you will be assessed a fee. USPS goes to the reservations desk and there is not a fee. Any other "local" deliveries that are made and are delivered to your room while you are there don't get assessed a fee. Only the packages delivered to the "Business Center". Think of it as paying them to accept and store your package until you pick it up.

So we have booked a preferred room - does anyone have any suggestions on room requests? What can I request and why should I? I have no idea if some rooms are better than others in the preferred area.

There is no fee for resort guests at the Fitness Center. It is accessible 24 hours day with your Magic Band. If it's after hours you enter with your Magic band through the door on the parking lot side. :thumbsup2

Thank you!

Is there an easy way to get from Casitas to the Dig site Pool? Is there a bus that is close to the Dig site? If not how long of a walk do you think it will be from the preferred rooms to the Dig Site?
