Disney's Art of Animation Resort (Part II)

Lion King opens today!! Anybody there right now have pictures???

Yes! I am staying at Cars (Mater bldg) right now and I got a bunch of LK pics as well as some good ML pics right through a hole in the fence. Of course, you will have to wait until Thursday night when I am home and can upload...internet is a bit sketchy and I am on a 3G connection with limited data at the moment.

You tease! We have to wait til THURSDAY! :hourglass

My friend just arrived at AoA tonight in the LK section and said the resort is amazing! She's a Deluxe girl and said Disney has really outdone themselves with AoA. So excited! We'll be there in 63 days! :cheer2:

In exactly one week we will be on the plan plane! Lion king here we come! we won't do the parks till Saturday, so we have all day Friday to enjoy the resort and DTD.

I don't know if anyone is trying to get a lm room for the week of oct 27-nov3, but i am pretty sure i will be cancelling the one we have. We are book in a nemo suite, and my sister was going to go w/her family and stay in lm room. They cancelled. I thought that i might have some friends that would go instead, but it looks like they won't be able too. I will post when i cancel for sure. ;)

Just canceled our Pop Century reservation and bumped up to a Lion King family suite at AOA for November 1-8th!! :woohoo: The kids are sooo excited and so am I because we got FREE Disney dining!!! :cool1: Now to change my Pop vacation ticker below. :)

All the pics look fantastic! I'm doing a split stay next year and I think I'll do CSR and AoA. I went to CSR this year on my first WDW trip and loved it. AoA looks really fun. As it's just me and DH we'd be in the Little Mermaid section. We wont be going til Sep/Oct 13 but it's never too early to start planning!
If I were to make a reservation and then FD came out for AoA at somepoint between now and our trip would WDW add this on for us?

Debating between AOA and Pop Century. Just wondering: Is the Little Mermaid room too girly for my 35 yo DBF?

Lucky you! For the past several years FD has been offered for at least some of Sept and Oct, so chances are pretty good it will be offered again. The problem that many people are encountering is the popularity of LM section. If the rooms continue to sell out, there will be no need to offer FD to fill rooms. (Many of us were lucky to book LM with FD for Sept. when the offer came out back in April I think it was.) Watch for offers next Spring!
If it is offered, or you get a pin, WDW will not "add" FD automatically. You need to basically call and change your reservation. Remember that there are a limited number of rooms offered with FD, so even though you have a room reserved, it doesn't mean they can just tack on FD to said room.

Now that I have won the bubble busting award of the day, I wish you much pixie dust and hope you get the vacation you want!!!!!
