Yes, we purchased 8 tickets and only had 2 kids attending class.

Here is the link for the individual classes in the summer just click on continue and put in the classes you want. As for winter I have no idea. I don't believe they are available yet

Thanks. I got an email from Ashley and she confirmed that the individual enrollment is open for the summer classes now.

I just signed our kids up for the June 14th sessions at Epcot.
DS16 and DD13 are doing Dynamics of Technology.
DD10 and DD7 are doing Synergy in Science.

The only problem is that the longest tickets I could choose were 7 day. A previous poster had mentioned a section to add notes, where you could type in a request for longer tickets. But I didn't see any place to enter notes or requests. Either it's not there anymore or I missed it. But in her email earlier today, Ashley had told me they could do 8 day tickets. So after I registered, I sent her an email asking to change it to 8 day tickets. I'll let everyone know when I hear back from her.

When I called cause I too wanted the 8 day, they told me they could only offer the 7 day now.

I hope they dont wind up cancelling this program. My DD is 5 and she is going to have a blast doing her class this summer, but the ones they offer for 7 and up she would totally enjoy. The animal and aquarium type ones. I was really hoping to be able to sign her up for those next summer.
So sad that some folks always do have to ruin things for people.

We are also registered for the June 14th class in EPCOT - Synergy in Science! :cool1: Perhaps we will bump into you! :) I believe that makes at least 4 of us from here going on this day.

I also was not able to put two adults and one child for the class. I even tried to "purchase" the class so that both my DH and I could attend with DS and it wouldn't allow it. I was told on the phone that because we only have one child going with us it shouldn't be a problem for both of us parents to attend - I hope that's true so we're not separated. I believe others have done this - can any of you confirm this? Do we need to do anything ahead of time?

I am really confused now.
I've read several posts from the last few days about the summer classes being open for individual enrollment, but as far as I can tell, nothing on the website has changed.

If I go to the June 14th programs and try to sign up, it brings me to the page that says it's for "organized groups of 10 or more". This is the same thing it was doing when I first looked at the website in December and Ashley said that it was because individual enrollment wasn't open yet.

So what has changed?

Did anyone get an email from Ashley?

Why are some people saying summer classes are open for individual enrollment now?

I signed DS up for June 14th Dynamics of Technology 2 days ago.

I thought I was the only one that had a hard time w/ it.

Here is what I had to do:
>go to the list of classes Disney Youth Education Series Individual Enrollment Product Cataloge
>do not click on a summer class if that's what you want
>instead click a winter class (I chose one from Feb8)
>this takes you to Disney Youth Education Series Individual Enrollment 2011 Programs
>now choose "For students arriving June 14 - August 29"
>It takes you to:Welcome to Disney Youth Education Series Individual Enrollment 2011 Online Ticket Store
>Click Continue to go to : profile/form/index"Disney Youth Education Series Individual Enrollment 2011 Contact Info"

You'll know what to do from there.
I received a confirmation email the next day.
Only I wanted my tickets mailed, but only Will Call was an option. And We need 8 day tix & I ordered 7 day. I plan to call next week. I don't think it'll be a prob. I did a big group in Nov & they had to rearrange a few tix w/o a hassle.

I don't know. I did tell him that our kids had done the class before, through the LEAP group, and we all showed up for the class. :confused3

^^^^^^^^^^^^
To me it sounds like maybe you're group is now being denied because of no shows in other groups.

Just another curious question..... the ticket prices are such a great deal, is the limit now only 7 days because there were too many people special requesting more and more days beyond that?

So, I've actually been sitting here a few hours reading past posts starting from the earliest I could... then just started jumping around. I've seen a few posts on this, but no real details...

Dining plan (yeah, I know some think its not worth it, but its worth the convenience for me... single mom doesn't like hauling food around in addition to all the other stuff the kids require).... Anyway... Dining plan. Has anyone been able to use this WITH the YES individual enrollment programs? We are planning to stay at one of the on site resorts and will actually need 2 rooms, but I'm curious as to whether we can get the dining added on. If so, what do we need to do AND...

Who is the rep or CS person everyone is having luck with lately? I've seen several names thrown around but want to be sure to speak to the right person the first time! THANKS~~~~~~~~

LOL!! This is a good idea for something my mom can do with my 2 yr old while they wait for us to do the class (or maybe she'll do the class and I'll get the passes?) My kids want to be in classes with their grandparents and not me.

We are looking at Sept/Oct as well. Myself, my 3 kids (DS2-will be 3, DD9, and DS11), my parents.. and if I can talk my sister into it, her DS4 and DD8 will be joining us. IF they tag along, we can not go until Mid Oct as my niece is in school, but if not my kids, folks and I can go just about anytime as they will be homeschooled next year!

To my knowledge the only way to get the dining plan with this program is to rent a reservation to stay at a DVC resort on points. DVC members can always add the dining plan to their reservations. We rent points for our stay, use YES tickets, and book dining plan.

I just got an email from Heidi yesterday: Heidi.E.Williams@disney.com

Good luck!

Is there any proof of this or is it just a guess? It seems to me that there are a lot of random guesses being made, which is not helpful. I get that people don't want others to ruin the program, neither do I, but I hate when people make up threats and scares.

Can't help you with the dining plan, we are DVC members, but the women I have been in contact there is Ashley E. Forbes<Ashley.E.Forbes@disney.com>, very nice & helpful. My tickets for our August dates are being mailed in a month.

I don't know. If I recall correctly, the person who originally posted this idea had lots of very specific answers to questions- so much so that I speculated they were a Disney employee familiar with the YES program. I have not ever seen anyone say they were blacklisted though.

Personally, I wouldn't be willing to risk it.

Me neither, but it won't really matter. There are enough people out there who will read a thread like this, order their tickets and go about their merry way. Disney knows this, it isn't rocket science. I also have a pretty good idea of the "ticket tracking" due to an incident on our trip. (not related to missing a class.) I don't believe in making stuff up, though, to try to keep people in line.

The kind of people who will do that kind of thing aren't going to care about the future, etc.

As far as the blacklisting thing goes, I have experience in missing a class. The first YES program we did (2010) I registered all 3 of my children, not paying attention to the age range. When we got to Disney I saw that only one of my children was eligible to take the class. I never called to update (not very thoughtful of me! always call!) and I showed up to the class with one child instead of 3. While the CM's seemed a bit put off, they were still very friendly and my tickets still worked. I book another YES class this year (just got back) and booked 2 of my children. I had no problem booking the class, no one asked me any questions about my previous class, and both of my kids showed up.

I would hope that no one does what I did, and not call and update the facilitators. I would hope that no one takes advantage of the rate and not show at all. However, it would make sense that if the program begins to get abused there will be more regulations in place.

I will enjoy the program for as long as they let me, that's for sure!!! :thumbsup2

And chances are if you are enough of a Disney fan to be on the DIS, you won't want to miss the class anyway.

lol, there are people on the dis who will lie about their child's age to save a few bucks. Being a disney fan doesn't make one honest. And the budget board is a hit because it saves money. That is the primary goal of many people.

I wasn't saying it made you honest- but there are 'backstage' experiences in the classes (or at least the one we attended) that a Disney fan would not want to miss out on.
