I just read in South Jersey Magazine today that "WDW's single biggest market is New Jersey." They even mentioned "Jersey Week."

I had no idea!

Enough of those lame "What exit?" jokes. Let's hear it for New Jersey!

That is cool. My guess if they did that for Las Vegas, they would say Wisconsin. I can never to Vegas with meeting at least 10 Wisconsin folk.

Another Jersey Girl here- leaving in 30 days and dancing all the way down :cool1:

Another Jersey shout out...... leaving central Jersey in 2 weeks for POFQ

Jersey ROCKS!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Now, if we can only ban together and force WDW to establish a New Jersey Residents discount rate. Nothing less than the Florida Residents rate thank you. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I may live in Ohio, but I was born and raised at exit 16E, and when I die, my ashes will lay in the water off the coast of LBI!

Jersey, the home of Springsteen, pork roll breakfast sandwiches, and the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast!

KC :sunny:

Jersey rules!!!! (except for those darn insurance rates!!)
Leaving in 4 days!!!!!!!!!!

We were there just a week and a half ago and I swear, everyone we met was either from NJ or upstate NY.

DH and I were joking about it on the bus to MGM one morning and lo and behold, the couple next to us says, "we're from NJ!". Turns out the wife grew up just a few blocks away from me.

It's a small, small, world.

Jersey does rock and I think its awesome!!! Taylor pork roll and egg in the morning, only in New Jersey and I agree I think NJ should get a special resident rate like FL!!! It is true no matter what time of year I go down there is always always people from NJ there.

Have a nice day! :cool1:

Its been that way for years now. I've read it before and many cast members have said it on our many trips to the world. Hey, maybe diz should give us jersey folks discounted rates during certain times of the year for our support!!
Even dreams come true!!! LOL!!

Another Jersey family speaking up !! We go to WDW every July. We have always gone for two weeks but this year we went for three weeks to CBR. We have been going for 13 years so I am ALL OVER us Jersey folks getting some discounts :cheer2:

Lets all ban together :grouphug: WE want a discount...We want a discount We want a discount :rotfl2:

We always meet others from Jersey when we go. This year we met lots of people from Jersey and actually ran into neighbors staying at the CBR. It really is a "small world".

Hello fellow Jerseyans! I always knew there was something extra special about going to WDW during Jersey Week! I was there last year during that week with my DGDs, but this year, it's a trip for just DH and me. We're heading down to see the Mouse Oct 13-24. In fact, just today my AAA agent called to tell me our package is ready - heading to the office in Clark later this afternoon to pick it up!
PS...were all of you aware that there are only TWO states in the entire USA where the patrons do not have to pump (nor are they allowed to) pump their own gasoline? New Jersey and Oregon! So far, I have never been in Oregon, but I just love Jersey and all that the Garden State has to offer!
(I live closer to the Parkway (exit 137) than the Turnpike...LOL)

Since Jersey is such a big market for Disney, I was thinking :scratchin maybe we should all pick a day and call Disney and ask for the NJ resident discount. If enough of us call maybe someone will think they really have one :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

NJ....high taxes, high auto insurance, high realestate prices, high everything....but I love NJ wouldn't live anywhere else. Well maybe except WDW.

Another Jerseyite we're leaving in 3 days. My brother (he lives in Pa. ) and I always go at least once a year in all of his trips hes never run into anyone he knows but anytime he's there with my family we always run into some one we know. It drives him crazy once we even ran into people we knew at our OKW bus stop ( we had no idea they were there). Next week someone my DH works with is going to be there, we just found out so maybe we'll keep our streak going.

I have heard of "Jersey Week" too, though unofficial :-)

I am assuming it is the week of Election Day since that is a week when most public schools are closed on Tuesday for election day and then Thursday and Friday for the NJEA teacher's convention - so you only miss 2 days of school if you go down for a week. I hear it's nearly impossible to get a flight out of Newark that weekend...
