Disney Gift Card Deals

Just a data point.... I ordered 3 $50 eBay cards from BB online to be picked up in store. I didn't add a filler item and paid 100% with BB GCs. I just got notice that they are ready for pickup. So, it looks like sometimes orders will go through w/o getting cancelled.

Something similar happened to us today i bought $600 (3 $200 ) ebay egift card may 9th received via email gift cards tried to redeem them today for the promo and 2 of them had 0 balance and 1 had $37 balance and the gift card is linked to someones else account. We called target ebay paypal each of them telling us to call each department my husband demanded for research on what is going on. ebay requested proof of purchases and egift card numbers to research what is going on So im not sure at this point what is going to happen. Target csr said i was out of luck since someone got to my account and took the numbers only thing i could do was file a police report. I think there is more to this if its happening to other people. Ill keep you posted to what happens
very intereresting. I noticed yesterday that a card I know had a $7.00 balance had been zero'd out I was was scrambling to figure out what happened. Now I feel lucky that I only had a small amount left on it. It definitely is not some kind of email hacking. Something fishy going on here and I have a feeling it goes back to Target.

I have to say that I'm a concerned about the fraud that has recently shown against for people on this thread. I guess that I'm going to add another step for when I purchase Target eCards and combine them all to a card of my own as soon as the numbers arrive in the mail.

It's really concerning. I have quit buying Target GC's from the resellers and only buying 'clean' GC's. But this current stuff seems bigger than the resellers. People are having their ebay cards that they bought from Target drained before they are able to use them. That is what I am understanding.

Curious to know people's experience with hotels.com. The last couple times I checked pricing, the pricing on hotels.com was substantially higher than what I could get booking directly with the hotel. I don't get it!

Pretty much the same experience for me which is why I skipped buying the hotels.com GC's. I think the Disney hotels were the same but there was no promo code and booking through cheaptickets.com was a better deal...considering if I needed to cancel, my money would not be tied up in GC's.

Was this an eBay card that you had previously used? If so, the $7 balance should have been tied to your PayPal account.

I have booked with hotels.com twice now using gift cards and the prices have been the same or better than the hotel's own website. I wait to order the e-giftcards until I find a hotel that I like and know that I will book through them. If you go through Ebates then you can get another 3% off and they often will have a 10% promo code to use.

Maybe that's the real issue. Target's system has been compromised before. Maybe they think it's a GCM/Ebay connected issue.

We are all so quick to believe they've changed the "game", but maybe this is a security issue.

Anyone know how to find the transactions on a Target gift card? I bought a card from Gift Card Rescue and they want me to send them a screen shot of the transactions. The card was used by the previous owner, and GCR is being difficult to deal with!
On my work computer I am able to access the transaction history. I think it still has the old site. I click on the little arrow by my name and choose manage my account. Then I scroll down to the wallet and click on manage gift cards. Then at the top, right above "add a gift card" I click on payment methods. Then I click on the gift card number on the right-hand side of the screen. That brings up the transaction history on the card.

They should be about the same. Maybe $5-10 more or less if anything. Here in the resort I work at, we actually control the rates displayed on third party websites as we are contracted through them for a certain rate.

You'll be fine with Hotels.com if you don't plan on changing your reservation or canceling. You can't call the hotel directly to change/cancel and the customer service is horrendous through Expedia (they own hotels.com).

I think I'm tapping out. All of this stuff with BB gift cards is too stressful! I've been sitting on $600 BB gift cards and $300 Ebay for a few weeks now. I think I may just cash in for Disney - going in September so I probably only had a good month left anyways!

I frequently purchase a larger denomination Target gift card online and pay with up to four smaller denomination cards, both egift and physical cards. The only drawback I found is that The website only offers certain denominations so if you have odd amounts on your cards you'd have to round up to the card with nearest dollar amount by adding a small amount out of pocket.
Do you have to purchase a physical gift card which is mailed to you, or an egift card?

You can do either one. Although one time I ordered a $200 card and thought for sure I choose the e-gift option, but the confirmation showed it was a physical card being mailed to me. I likely picked the wrong option.

Thanks. I wish that I could still do that.

I was looking at a non-chain hotel in Utah. The rate for the room I wanted on hotels.com was $319 (it was roughly the same as other travel websites), but the hotel's advance purchase rate was $253 (AAA rate was $280ish). Huge difference!

Perhaps this is not the norm. Will have to keep my eye on this and be strategic as @Angrose suggests.

Edited: $319 should be closer to $287 since I see there is a 10% coupon available.

PPDG is about to get some seriously negative feedback on eBay...

PayPal has unlocked/verified/cleared my account and so there is NO issue with it at all. I still get the message "Sorry, this payment option isn’t available. Here are your options: Contact PayPal Customer Service to resolve this issue" when I try to purchase anything from PPDG. I tried purchasing from other merchants and there is no issue with the PayPal payments so it is 100% on PPDG. My PayPal account is not locked or restricted in any way.

I sent a message to them via eBay and here's their solution....

"We are sorry to hear that there is an issue with your PayPal payment. Being that there is no actual eBay order for me to reference you will need to contact PayPal customer service where an agent will be able to verify and access your account to review the charge(s)."

Ok...um...if there is no actual eBay order for you to reference, what charges will the PayPal agent be able to review? You already said there was no actual purchase! DUH!! You won't take my money! Paypal says everything is good...PPDG just doesn't want my money, apparently. This is beyond ridiculous. As soon as I get another eBucks promo, I am just going to order a physical gift card from just about anywhere and be done with PPDG.

...and the absurdity continues...

I replied to PPDG by letting them know that I have already contacted Paypal and they said there is no issue on their end. PPDG responded by telling me to contact E-Bay because they don't seem to see any issues on their end either.

So...no problem with PPDG, no problem with PayPal...yet if I put the two of them together...BIG problem!

Our trip is in Sept also. I have enough money for the room and tickets but I was still trying to fund our food and souvenirs. SO, I need to make some decisions what to do also. I have $300 in BB, $300 in GS and right at $300 in ebay. Oh and like $150 or $200 in Target. I need to start moving all to Disney.

Just received the email from Best Buy that my in store pickup of four $50 Disney GC and my k-cups are ready for pickup. This is the second time it's worked adding a non-gift card item. While I'd prefer a denomination larger than $50 I also like getting the Ebates. And I can combine the cards later.
Do you get the Ebates for the entire order? I just placed my first BB order for 3 $50 ebay GCs plus a add-on (usually I just go to the store), I used an airline portal (need 1300 more for a flight next month :worried:), anyone know if portals payout on the full purchase or just the add-on? (I am using AA)

Did you have to go through verification through PayPal where they asked you questions like: "What street didn't you live on?"? I had to do that twice.

i got locked out of my paypal yesterday trying to buy $100bb even though i verified and was logged in.... thats just bad business do they want people to buy their stuff or not!!!!!!
i ended up buying 950 in physical gamestop cards
