All right! So far on this trip, this is how our days have been planned out:


Saturday, November 27th – Arrival Day
Sunday, November 28th – Park Day 1 - MK and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Monday, November 29th – Park Day 2 - DHS


This third park day changed a little bit from my original plans when I was playing with my ADRs and fitting in something new. It’s not what I’d optimally do, but in the end we have two days back to back at DHS.



DAY THREE
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Tuesday, November 30th
Park Hours: 9am to 7pm

It’s not an EMHs, but for now Fantasmic is not scheduled on this day so perhaps the crowds will be a bit lighter. In any case, first things first. We have an ADR breakfast scheduled at 10am this morning at 1900 Park Fare. If you remember back when my ADR window was approaching, I was flip flopping back and forth between a Park Fare breakfast or the dinner. Wanting to try something new and forcing us to visit the Grand Floridian for the Christmas decorations, I planned to book the breakfast. But as soon as I decided, I was second guessing we should go with the dinner. We’ve been to Park Fare for dinner twice before. The first time was with Suzy and Perla the mice (only know because they signed our autograph book!) with Cinderella and Prince Charming. It was absolutely one of the best character dinner’s we’ve had. Not the food mind you, it was OK, not too much of a selection for us, but the characters were great and once again they interacted with the kids, especially Ariana, wonderfully.

The second dinner we had there was again of course with Cinderella and Prince Charming, but also with Lady Tremaine and the Step-sisters. They are just a hoot! Unfortunately we’d videotaped our greetings with them and lost all the footage so this could’ve been a do-over of sorts too. I also thought the over the top humor would just fit better with our group. But then I thought about having a lovely breakfast with Alice and Mary Poppins and with the Mad Hatter (still not Johnny Depp… darn!) and I’d really want to do that. I decided to keep the breakfast and I’m glad I did. We’ll have another easy morning and I will delight in checking out all the decorations.



Then it’s off to DHS….

….. and doing anything today that we missed the day before, and more of our favorites. I won’t mind skipping Fantasmic the day before to see the Osborne lights and I’m sure we’ll go see it again this second day. Depending on the weather once we’re there, I might (and I stress MIGHT) decide to go to Fantasmic the first night in favor of seeing the Osborne lights the second night, but nothing is for sure and I’d HATE to miss it if something goes wrong.


Coming off of a late breakfast, we’ll probably have a late lunch either at Pizza Planet…

…. or the Backlot Express. George isn’t a pizza fan so I know he’d opt for the Backlot Express but he just may be over ruled too, you never know.


After a relaxed approach to anything we missed the day before, we’ve now come up to my favorite part of this day. And yes, I’ll say it again…. I’m really, really excited for this day!


As I’ve mentioned a few hundred times, I’ve never yet tried a Dole Whip. If for some bizarre reason I haven’t yet had it by this point in the trip, this part of the day will absolutely force me to try it. You see, once DHS closes at 7pm that leaves quite a bit of time left in our day. My plan? To make our way over to the Polynesian by either a direct bus ride there, or taking a bus to the Floridian and then boating it over. Whichever strikes our fancy because there is no rush. When we reach the Polynesian, we will be heading straight for the beach and hopefully find a few empty chairs.

Then we’ll just relax for a bit and enjoy the view. I’ll hop over to Captain Cook’s….

…find some snackies and this little baby…..

… and get me one of these:

Boy it looks so yummy. I think I said this before, but I certainly hope I like the darn thing after so much build up!


After we’ve relaxed and watched the sun go down with our snackies and Dole Whip, something special will happen. The Electrical Water Pageant in the Poly lagoon! I’ve never seen this and can’t wait!

There’s a MVMCP on that night as well so I think we’ll be able to see Holiday Wishes too! Then we’ll take the monorail over to MK and bus it back to the Pop and call it a night.

Your day sounds just lovely. Especially your evening, so relaxing. I have a feeling though you'll be going to pizza planet, and your dh will be over ruled

I hope you enjoy the Dole whip too. I believe I've had it at Disneyland and liked it, but wasn't like I had to have it again. But I was also slightly rushed to eat it I believe. And it was quite awhile ago, so I'm anxious to try again too. So I'll be waiting for your review of it.

I think you will really enjoy your breakfast with mary Poppins, Alice and the mad hatter, especially the mad hatter, who I hear is quite mad From what I've read in other TR's you all are in for a VERY good time, prepare your bellies for a ton of laughter.

Woohoo! And what's great is that as soon as the EWP is over, you can just hang out for another 30 minutes or so, and see the fireworks from the beach, or (do you have park hoppers? I forget) take the boat over to MK and watch them, although you might not have the best vantagepoint in the park, it probably wouldn't be bad if you try right by the entrance, or somewhere on Main Street.

Those plans sound amazing! I have to say, the Dole Whip will not disappoint! I love them! I have to admit, we have never been to Pizza Planet, we tried but the line was massive and there was no place to sit, but we LOVE the Backlot Express, but at DHS anywhere but ABC is fine with us!

Your Day 3 plans sound like so much fun! I'm so jealous that you get to see the GF all decorated for Christmas. Last year, I remember watching a Christmas special on the Travel Channel or the Food Network and the decorations looked amazing....even DH was in awe.

Aww...I think you'll really enjoy your breakfast 1900 Park Fare! I would love to have breakfast with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

I really hope you get to try your Dole Whip and what a better way than on the Poly Beach watching the Electrical Water Pageant.

I think it's at 9. If Wishes is at 9 though, it's a little delayed... about 15 minutes later. The Steve Soares site ( http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ ) has accurate information, check it in November, but it should be 9.

That looks like a wonderful day 3! You can comando a bit the day before and then slow down and enjoy the little things the next day! I have heard great things about the character interaction at 1900 PF. I actually thought about booking it for us this trip, but I think the boys would give me a hard time. Once Aileen is a touch older, I can use her against them!

We are at AK that night and I know we will be leaving well before closing... maybe there can be a meet-up on the Poly Beach?

Day 3 looks real nice....we are doing the 1900 PF breakfast for the first time too on Rachel's b-day I have a Alice costume all set for her too...

I am looking forward to it a ton...AiW is Matt's fav Dis movie too

You can for sure see the fireworks from the Poly beach we did it in 08...it was very cool! and I love watching the EWP too

enjoy that Dole Whip...can't believe I stayed at the Poly for 8 days and never had one
