Disney Channel Games 2008???

ok I have heard the jobros cough, cough cough bus is at the poly, but no sign of them, even if you were to see them it would take an act of congress to even get close this year, last year they were just walking around by their selves.

Oh, and they are NOT running around in Limos, they are in Regular cars, look for the disney ambassadors.

the polynesian report?

Guess I'm one of the "lurkers"! So sorry, I am NOT techno savvy (I'm learning-as this is my first reply) but just want to say thanks for all of your hard work! I was denied AP request for concert tix but was able to get them thru General Public. Learned of DC Games thru website called Mouseplanet by then all AP tix were gone. To my surprise, I requested seats & got them. Picked up tix 8:30 Saturday morning & yes- people were complaining about lawn instead of seats. People placed on waiting list were in line ahead of me still trying to get tix. Theme Parks are very crowded, did not see any stars at any of them. Poly Resort didn't have an empty seat left by the pool. Plan on going back for parade on Wednesday. As an AP, I take my kids & their friends to WDW at least once a month & try to stay at different resorts. We always visit the MUST DO rides at park opening Extra Magic Early Hours then drive our car to the other parks to ride what the kids want then cool off at the resort pool. Surprisingly, CM's at various locations knew little of the DC Games. You people know sooo much more! Thank you! By the way-
High schoolers in tix line said they plan on sleeping in their cars so they can be the first to park & get in to rush to the stage, said they travel all over to see the JB's & cautioned me how "pushy" it will be. GEEZ! Sounds like every man for himself. Hopefully, Disney has it all under control!

Well I hope you enjoy ur stay. I too am there very often. Just going up for the games. Will be there tuesday. Can you give us any report on the WWOS or were you not inside? Thanks for coming aboard.

They also said it is so packed with people which makes autographs even harder.

oh no i was afraid this would happen. so i guess they were very serious when they said it would not be as specator friendly. this is terrible, after all the anticipation.... oh well i hope things turn out better later on today and later on during the week. Thanks for the report Joed911! let us know if more info comes in. :)

i got the reporters on speed dial..lol. it seems like we are all in for a long week.

haha lol. thats a good idea. now i'll be checking in more often hoping something new surfaces. and it frustrates me that i won't be there until wednesday. well technically tuesday night. yep, its gonna be a long week, but hopefully it will be eventful!:confused3

Well this stinks. Guess I am glad I am only going Thursday, and not devoting my whole week to it. I may not even go then. Just don't have much money to do much else besides DC Games.

Picking up my tickets Wednesday, the last day, so I hope there won't be too many problems with tickets that day (though I'm sure there will be tons of issues since it's the last day)

Guess I'll just have to tough it out, maybe hang out around DTD or something?

Sorry for the disappointment, I feel like I hyped it all up last year (because it was really fun) and now it's totally different. Sorry again!

yeah I got the same sched. coming in tuesday night pick up tickets on wednesday. right now i am studying for my final exams cant you tell..lol

its not your fault sarah, as this whole few monthes have been. speculation. all we could do is investigate and guess and make the best out of it until it actually happened. We dont know until we know..you know. :)

Has any one mentioned anything about the grassy area by the outfield or whatever being open?

oh there is nothing to be sorry about! you were just helping everyone with info. but this is just the first day, hopefully things will go along better the rest of the week. I'm sure it will still be an enjoyable time...hopefully? It's disney! i still have hope.... even though its very small but it's till there :(

As disappointing as it is, I guess it's just a reflection on how popular the DCGames have become. I'm really bummed to hear that the JBFans are planning on "taking over" the concert area. I'm also a little nervous about seats now since we are flying in Tuesday night to pick up our seats on Wednesday morning. Congrats to Tiggerinbama on her sightings! Maybe one or two of us can also get that lucky. We will hope for the best and THANK YOU ALL for the on the scene reports.

the grassy area is closed. you are not allowed anywhere but the stands away from the playing field. you cannot see the playing field. you cannot watch the events. I just got a call from the reporters saying people with cameras are being escorted out. YOU CANNOT HAVE ANY CAMERAS AT ALL! Talk about not being fan friendly. If you cant see anything then why cant you have cameras? This is actually starting to make me ill.

Man, that isn't friendly at ALL. I don't understand how it's going to be worth watching on TV is it's all closed. Last year the funniest parts were the fans in the stands doing stupid stuff! Haha.

And about the concert. That's ridiculous, people shouldn't be allowed to sleep in their cars just to be first. I can tell I am not going to enjoy the concert at all.

i am guessing that this will be the last year that the events will be open to the public..between not being fan friendly and so many ticket issues, who knows where this will lead.

I think we all need to take a deep breath. Not panic:scared: Just know that it's not going to be like last year. Go with low expectations and just enjoy whatever time you're there for.
I got my concert tickets on Sunday and got seat 3,4,5 on row H 112. Got inside of the stadium and there are alot of tents all around so I know it will be hard to see anything. I'm going tomorrow afternoon with the kids, after school. I already told them that they might not see anything but they still want to go.
Let's just wait for tonights reports and just relax and go with the flow.
Hakuna Matata. :cool2:

I know what you are saying but my reports are from posters on this board who are there currently who I am on the phone with right now. I wish I could be as cool as you are right now..lol:woohoo:
I guess I am just really bummed because it has been so gassed up and now it feels like someone let the gas out...the polite way of course.:rolleyes1

I understand your point completely.
Just think how things can be worse: Disney could be selling tickets to the tapings and concert.
There could be a freak Florida storm ( that we usually get) and they can cancel the whole thing.
Disney could not let people try and get autographs.
They could announce that the games are over and they will be replaced by playhouse Disney in concert :headache:
Let's just go with the lowest expectations possible, and I think we'll be OK :thumbsup2
Maybe tomorrow after I come back from WWoS I'll have a different view on things.
