Disney Channel Games 2008???

We are currently planning on being at the games Wed - Friday and then since we have stadium seats for the show not hanging out there on Sat but going to the park instead. The rumor was that IF there was a "fan day" it would be on the 30th so we're trying to plan around that possibility.

Any word on how to get tickets to the games any other way? I e-mailed right after midnight and since I have heard no word yet, I am assuming I will not get them that way. I have a frantic 12 year old who says she MUST go. I live in the area. Should I go on the day of the concert and hope for extra tickets from no-shows?

Since we live only an hour away from WDW, we're only planning on going over for the concert. I have (6) six tickets for the field (3-adults, 3-girls (7,8,8)). I think the gates open at 5:00 and the ocncert is scheduled to begin around 7:00.

When should I head over? What time can I expect people to be lined up to get in for the field?

I know you'll only be able to guess, but I wasn't planning on this turning into an all day AND all night event. lol I would do that gladly, but the others coming with us aren't used to this sort of thing...I'm the cool Mom.

Since the field tickets are a free for all AND the JB are going to be there AND there is a lot of speculation that Miley is going to perform... my girls with field tickets are going to arrive at the complex at noon. Good luck!

PS - My daughter and I saw Miley/JoBros back in November and had such an awesome time! The others coming with me have never done anything like that/this with their little ones. lol They both think I'm nuts!

I'm excited for my two older girls. We did the HM/JB tour last year and then the JB in March (and again in July) and it's just getting bigger and bigger. I think our only possible saving grace may be that the FL schools are not out of session and tickets went so fast. Either way - I'm planning a whole day in the sun.

I'm hoping you're right about that! Maybe I should think about staying overnight Friday night nearby and just getting up and heading over to the WWoS on Saturday. I'll keep driving by and watching the crowds. lol At least the girls could swim for a while.

I have field tickets as well, and I am probably going to show up around noon too.

I expect a lot of people to be trying to figure out what everyone ELSE is trying to do so they can get there first. Like Game Theory...if, of course, I understood game theory! Haha, but we watched a video about it in Economics today, and my explanation reminded me of it, and now I am rambling!

I can not wait to go to the games! Last year I only went one day, which was the last day of the games (a thursday, I believe) and it was not crowded at all. I think towards the end of the week people will be saving their energy for the concert rather than going to the games.

The day I went, I think all the people there could fit into maybe 2 and 1/2 sections of seating, and considering there's like 6 or more sections, it wasn't that many people.

I can not believe it I got tickets!!! I had given up hope and received an email yesterday morning at 10:30am!! I had been turned down at the first email address but after reading that a new email address had been posted on the Disney website I sent an email on Monday and received tickets!

Just an FYI, called Radio Disney and they said that "Fan Day" will be at Hollywood Studios (originally MGM Studios) on April 30th from 10-1, park admission is needed to attend. Also, if you have Field tickets, it will be standing for the entire even and a first come first serve type thing for positioning. The stadium seats are apparently assigned when tix are picked up so swarming the stadium may not be necessary LOL. ALSO, they said that the concert actually STARTS at 8 pm and the gates open at 7. Hope this helps all!

We can now finalize our trip!! So excited about Fan Day!! I was relieved to hear that the stadium seats are assigned since I'm taking my 7 year old. The two 14 year olds can fend for themselves on the field, but I was really nervous about trying to wrangle a good spot for the little one. Thank you all again for all of the info. And this is our first trip to WDW so now I'm off to check out all of the other great information on trip planning.

Man, you have to go to a whole different park, and pay 75 MORE dollars to go to fan day?

Any chance that some stars will be at the DC Games during that time? Or will they ALL be at the fanfest day fair thing-a-ma-bob.

What is this fan day? I heard about it. It was not finalized. If they do a fan day @ hollywood studios that means everyone in the park will be there as well. That kinda stinks. I wish it was at the WWOS complex. If you could post anything you know about the fan day WE would ALL appreciate it since we have been trying to get all the plans down. Thanks.
