Discounted Annual Passes - Information and Official Exchange Thread

DH & I will both receive one if I'm not mistaken & will share when the MM is received! What a great deal! I'll be sure to post when I have them to share! My MM's usually come a little later than others I've noticed.

Can the passes be bought before your trip, and then "activated" when you arrive? We are not going until september, so I would not want the clock ticking from July...

Thanks!

Jerry

No...you have to purchase an activated AP.

Leaving tomorrow and looking for someone who will be there late this week or all next week with a discount savings card. I'm needing it for two AP's. Any AP holders in the local area who has received a card and is willing to share?

Thanks for sharing this information! We'll be able to use this discount for my niece who will be turning 3 this year and will need one for the first time. Since the whole family has them, we'll have extra to share with fellow DISboarders. I'll let you know when we get them in the mail!:goodvibes

Ok, I just got off the phone with WDW Tickets/Passes and found out that if you have already purchased your annual passes, you can not use the discount card that is coming in the MM. You also can not cancel your ticket order and then replace the order using the discount card. That won't work either. Tickets are non-refundable. Once you purchase a ticket, whether you receive a voucher in the mail or just opt to pick up the tickets at will call, you have been assigned an AP number.

DVC discounts and Florida resident discounts can also be used with the referral card.

According to the CM I spoke with, I will be receiving a Mickey Monitor and so I should also have a card(s) available. If anybody needs a card, please PM me and I'll let you know when my MM arrives.

So does this mean you won't be needing the card I had set aside for you?

I don't have time to read this whole thread but I received my MM today and I have four discount cards in my hands. Each card is good for six discounts. If anyone can use them please pm me. We are leaving for Disney at 4 am tomorrow and I will be checking in while we are gone. Now off to pack. :cool1:

Our first confirmed delivery...let the races begin... :)

Wow, that was fast but my discount cards are all taken. I now really have to go and pack. Thanks to everyone that sent a pm.

Great...I had it all figured out and now they are trying to give me an even bigger discount :)

We are new DVC'ers and this is the first year we will be using our DVC points. I was planning on purchasing 6-Day, non-expiring, parkhopper tickets from a broker and upgrading to AP's at Guest Services using our DVC discount ($100 off).

So...how much of a hassle / potential disaster would it be to bring a regular ticket (like the 6-Day parkhopper I previously mentioned) and try to have it upgraded to an AP using both the 10% off and the DVC discount?

Should I just ditch that idea and purchase the AP directly from Disney using the 10% off and DVC discount instead?

Also...if anyone has a coupon from their Mickey Monitor that they want to pass on...we are planning on purchasing passes around June 20th. We will be purchasing 2 adult passes. If there is a seperate thread for this, please let me know.

Thanks...

I have THREE pass along discount cards willing to give them to the first three private messages I get.

According to the first post from Cheshire Figment you will be able to do what you want and upgrade tickets from a broker like UT. You would just have to use them first to enable the "bridging" from discounted price to gate price.

I'm still looking for a discount card, and will be at WDW from the 7th till the 21st of May. Anyone have an extra who will be there during this time or is local?

Thanks!

Thanks....I figure it can be done...but, it just sounds like a disaster in the making. (Bridging ticket and applying 2 discounts)

Now...I have to figure out which ticket to get so that the numbers work out right.

I plan on using my tickets from my 4/3 package to upgrade with the 10% discount and I bought 10 day NE at the price of 7 day NE.

I did double check the FAQs...you cannot upgrade a Seasonal Pass to an Annual Pass, or an Annual Pass to a Premium, using this offer - but nothing about upgrading MYW passes...in the end I believe the point is that you must end up with a "new" Annual Pass.

Oooooo...now you are just asking for trouble. :)

I don't know if I've said this in this thread before or not...but I do not believe that the DVC AP price is considered a discount in the normal sense, but a posted price only available to DVC members.

I know, but I'm willing to take that chance, Trouble is my middle name (or at least that is what mom used to say). I will just ask politely to upgrade and hand over my pass along card and see what happens :confused3 :goodvibes I like living on the edge.

And it is like I said on that other thread, I am just going to turn around and use that saved money on something else on property, so I see it as a win-win for Disney.

Ok my son has an DVC AP that does not expire until June 8th. We are going to get annual passes for the other 6 of us in May... How do I get the special discount card? Should he have gotten in the mail already? I have gotten a Micky Monitor for him in the past.. but not lately... any thoughts?

:)

Suggestions needed We were intending on buying the 6 day non Expiration from an outlet and then upgrade to a DVC Annual pass... With this new promotion what passes do we need to buy from the outlet to get the best bang for our buck. :)
