Discounted Annual Passes - Information and Official Exchange Thread

For computation purposes, here are the prices for the various allowed passes, including tax. Note I could not get these to line up properly, so I bolded the alternate columns.

Type of Pass Adult AP Child AP Adult PAP Child PAP

Tourist 449.54 396.82 574.14 506.09

Florida Resident 344.11 302.89 459.12 404.49

DVC Member 353.69 312.47 454.33 400.65

These prices are for new passes only, not renewals.

These are the prices I believe with the 10% off. :)

You haven't received yours yet? Does this mean that I might have spent all that time of the phone this morning for nothing???? I just assumed everyone already got theirs!!! :headache:
Oh no honey! I dont think they are coming until mid May :lovestruc:

That's what I get for skipping half the thread huh ;):rotfl: Thank you!!! I'll wait then to panic. But hey, if I get rid of all 4 cards that's a $100 in my pocket for my next trip!!!

Ok, maybe I am stupid, but correct me if I am understanding wrong please.
If I already have a 7day MYW base ticket that I bought from UT, and I use one day of the ticket, THEN I upgrade on the next day to an AP, I only have to pay the difference in the gate price of a 7day base ticket and the regular AP, right?
I do NOT pay the difference in the gate price of a 7day Base and the UT price of a 7day base if I do it this way?

THEN, if I get a referral card from one of you nice people, I can take off another 10% of the AP price? Is this 10% of the new DVC AP price or 10% of the regular new AP price?

So confusing....:confused3

1) Yes
2) Off the DVC price, if you are a DVC member.

These are the prices I believe with the 10% off. :)

Yes.

Good gravy! Are you guys telling me that I have to be a DVC owner to get the discount? Because we are not. So, can I use the discount card or not?
So confused :confused3

That's not what I was saying. The question you asked was whether the 10% off would be from the DVC price or the standard (Tourist) price.

If you are a DVC member, you get 10% off the DVC price.

If you are not a DVC member, you get 10% off the Tourist price.

What are the middle numbers for example 312.47 and the end one 400.65???

Thanks for any help. :)

DVC child AP and PAP prices. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any good table formatting options...all extra spaces get eaten, even if you use a fixed font...

So...if I bring a pass (for example...5 Day Parkhopper) that was used once to get into a park...the CM will just bridge the price up to the gate price and charge me the difference between the DVC Member price ($353.69) and the new bridged/gate price...correct?

I was just concerned that the CM might have to do all kinds of complicated math...like, bridge the price....then, do a regular AP pass and subtract the DVC discount and then subtract the 10%...etc...etc...and that would cause mass confusion.

Thanks for the clarification on the prices, Cheshire. Now, I'm off to do calculations on which ticket will work best without going over the price. I feel like I'm on Price is Right :)

Speed :teleport:

What ticket did you decide to go with? I am buying tickets sonn and would like to know what others are buying to upgrade to the DVC annual pass. :goodvibes

Jill, you'd actually need two cards. Each card is good for up to 6 AP discounts. So you'd need one full card and then you'd use 1 on a second card.

Ok, I just called the ticketing office and spoke to somebody in the Annual Pass dept. I asked her about my situation and found some info I thought I'd share. About a month ago, I purchased my APs and opted to pick them up at will call. I didn't get a voucher mailed out. My question to the CM was whether or not I'd be able to receive the 10% discount if I presented the card when I went to Guest Relations to pick up the AP for the first time. As it turned out, the answer was no. However, she solved that problem for me. She refunded all three tickets to my card and said that all I'd need to do was to take the Passholder discount card with me, along with my DVC card and I'd be able to purchase the APs at the DVC member price along with the 10% off of that. So, my advice to anyone who has already purchased tickets but that hasn't picked them up is to call and get a refund so you can take advantage of the pass along savings card. Whew! That was a mouthful! Hope it's not too convoluted!!! :3dglasses

There was a post on here earlier about that and it said that you can't do that, I think you just got lucky with that CM.

We leave in three weeks and plan to upgrade to APs so if anyone wants to pass-along a card it would be greatly appreciated. Please PM me.

Edit - We have a card on the way

Does anyone know? I'm a cuurent AP holder but my Ap expires May 15 and I'm not renewing. Will I get my Gift cards from the pass along cards that are redeemed? I have emailed disney but no response as of yet.

I am going to get an annual pass for my June trip. If anyone has an extra discount card that they would like to pass along to me, i would love to use it.

Thanks:thumbsup2

Wow! I normally don't come to the Parks Board but I came over here today to find out the July/Aug. hours.

I am so glad I saw this thread!!! I am going the end of July so this will save DS and me $100! Now I'm off to find someone who already has an AP to see if I can use one of their tickets!

OP, Thanks so much!!!:)

Whew! Thanks!!
