That's terrific - what an amazing CL room and it's great to know about your personal experience with booking CL. Has the IPO contacted you yet? Keep us posted.
I have the same dilemma of having our Spring Break during a blacked-out period. I have used the SoG overflow rate of -20% during any blacked-out period. (You can book an overflow rate only when SoG is fully booked - they have a calendar on their website.) I most recently used it over Christmas. But, I am very tempted now to book with CT after reading this thread. With the SoG overflow rate you cannot book any CL rooms or DVC villas, but with CT you can and you save an additional 5% with the current code.
I have some questions:
What happens when/if you need to change your dates and/or your resort? Do you just cancel the current reservation and re-book? Can this be done online? Is there ever any fee to do this? Has anyone had problems doing this? (Prior to the 5-day Disney free cancelation, of course).
Also, I've read about some issues booking children. Are the issues with children 3 and under or anyone 17 and under? I have a 15-year-old so would I have to call the WDTC after booking and speak to Wholesale? Do you only actually book the adults online then call the WDTC to add anyone under 17?
Has anyone actually reported back AFTER they stayed at a Disney Resort with a CT booking? Just curious what their entire experience, from start to finish, was like.
