Discount through Cheaptickets

I was able to do it pretty instantly after I received the email.
I received my confirmation email that it was booked but it just gave me my locator number. That wasn't the reservation number disney wanted apparently.. Cause I tried and it didn't work. Will call cheap tickets tomorrow!

Further down by the hotel information it will give you a hotel confirmation number. I was able to use that to get the other number from Disney

It took me a couple of days, I think. In any case, unless you're heading out next week, there's enough time to do it.

So glad to see so many people saving!

I was able to link my CT reservation to MDE. Now I just have to call them to fix the guests listed on the reservation. For some reason it's letting me put my child as an adult and not allowing my husband onto the reservation. But I still need to get both kids on too. Crossing fingers that it will work!! I heard Randy at wholesale will be helpful; maybe I can get him! :)

Randy at Wholesale was apparently a liar liar pants on fire, as he said he added the kids, but didn't. I called Disney direct, spoke with a regular CM and she in turn spoke with someone over in wholesale and they were added within 2 minutes. Good luck!

Yes, you can make 60 day ressies. You have to link the confirmation number to MDE and then you can pick your FP+ or dining reservations the same way you would have if you booked through Disney direct.

Ok great! Thank you!

I just booked through cheaptickets and cancelled my passholder rate ressie. I'm saving $118 by doing this which is great b/c this is a last minute budget trip! :cool1:

Disney will still get my $118 though. It will just go to margaritas at La Cava and grand marnier slushies in France lol

Update: FYI for those adding kids to the reservation. I tried calling cheaptickets and was placed on hold for a long time. The phone kept ringing and someone was pushing the buttons and then replacing me on hold. No one answered and I was eventually hung up on. I decided to do what others have posted and called Disney reservations direct and told the CM that I needed Disney wholesale to add my children to the reservation. They put me on a brief hold and someone from Disney wholesale helped me almost immediately. Total time spent was about 15 minutes.

Although my phone conversation was slightly longer (45), I was able to add the children to our ressie. Love saving money! :cool1:

Seriously considering changing the first half of our stay to save more $$$ too. The BC CL is no longer available on Cheap tickets, but the YC is. It would save us almost another $400. I think I'm probably going to make the switch. The savings between the two reservations will cover 2 of our tickets.

So glad someone posted this deal, I never would have looked otherwise. :flower3:

Lol lol ok wont throw Randy's name around then when trying to get my kids added! ;)

What Disney number did you call that the CM talked to wholesale? The reg reservations line? Cause the CM who was helping me with MDE had no clue and said it was impossible for him to talk to wholesale.

I have a reservation booked at POR through Disney and it is linked to MDE. I was able to snag one of the rooms at POR that sleep five with the current promotion. We are a family of five!

If I book with Cheaptickets can I link another reservation to MDE? I don't want to cancel my reservation with Disney until I can get the room and add the kids with Cheaptickets. I would be able to get a deluxe room through CT for the same price as I am paying through Disney for POR because the only rooms left under the promotion were preferred. Being able to stay at BC, YC or BWI for the same $$$ would be awesome!!!

If you don't find availability using promo code LUCKY25 try using CHEAPTASTIC.

I have found different availabilities using the different codes, but both gives 25% off..at least 25% off is this week's special.

Yeah for those trying to book, play around with the codes first. CHEApTASTIC code didn't work for Pop Century but LUCKY25 did. Odd thing is its 22% or 23% discount, not 25.

So excited!! Just booked for Easter break which Disney has blacked out with a TON of empty rooms and I've been so discouraged by this as it's the only time we can go to WDW. My room miraculously just showed up this morning, just now, so I grabbed it. Got Poly TPV CL! Saved $1,500! Now off to hopefully get the kids added and everything linked together. I'll post back to let everyone know how it worked. Wish me luckpixiedust:

So I already booked my CBR ressie with Cheap tickets, today I was able to get the YC CL. It means we had to switch from BC to YC, but I can't imagine there is that much of a difference. I saved almost $400! That means all total we have saved...$640. That's two of our tickets...I'm so thrilled with this savings!!!!

That's terrific - what an amazing CL room and it's great to know about your personal experience with booking CL. Has the IPO contacted you yet? Keep us posted.

I have the same dilemma of having our Spring Break during a blacked-out period. I have used the SoG overflow rate of -20% during any blacked-out period. (You can book an overflow rate only when SoG is fully booked - they have a calendar on their website.) I most recently used it over Christmas. But, I am very tempted now to book with CT after reading this thread. With the SoG overflow rate you cannot book any CL rooms or DVC villas, but with CT you can and you save an additional 5% with the current code.

I have some questions:

What happens when/if you need to change your dates and/or your resort? Do you just cancel the current reservation and re-book? Can this be done online? Is there ever any fee to do this? Has anyone had problems doing this? (Prior to the 5-day Disney free cancelation, of course).

Also, I've read about some issues booking children. Are the issues with children 3 and under or anyone 17 and under? I have a 15-year-old so would I have to call the WDTC after booking and speak to Wholesale? Do you only actually book the adults online then call the WDTC to add anyone under 17?

Has anyone actually reported back AFTER they stayed at a Disney Resort with a CT booking? Just curious what their entire experience, from start to finish, was like.

WDWKOOK, I'm in the process of adding my kids, both age 9, and I will post back in this thread after doing so. I haven't made any calls yet as I'm reading all the relevant DIS threads first and writing down any helpful info.

I can tell you that I linked my CT reservation to MDE immediately after I received my email confirmation from CT (which was instant). So I'm very pleased with that. The thing that I think that might help my process is that I have my family of 4 already listed in MDE connected with our AP's. I'm hoping it will be an easy process for the agent to just "click" my kids rather than having to start from scratch.

Oh, no contact from IPO yet. I have a recollection of reading in a different thread where someone booked CL and did receive contact. I'm planning to actually call IPO because I want to reserve a cabana and they'll need my credit card number. So I'll see at that point if everything is in order.

I'll be back with an update....

Well, I've cancelled from with Disney (after booking with CT) and CT (after getting the better cheaptastic code) and both were very easy. I called and did both cancellations. It just seemed like a better idea, then they could answer any questions I had. My refund from Disney showed on my cc 8 business days after canceling, and my CT refund show 3 business days after. There was NO fee from either. We booked 2 rooms so our boys could have one and we could have one, so I can't comment on the kiddos, but many have on this thread, so it is possible. I did have to re-do all my MDE, but it was also simple. Everything showed up immediately, even before I got the e-mail from CT. I was told by a Disney CM that I didn't need to worry about the reservation. It was showing and everything was fine!!! :goodvibes

I've got a question...I'm linked with MDE now, but am unsure of magic bands. When I pull them up it has the address of CT to be shipped to, I'm supposed to change it to my address, correct? I feel like this should be obvious, but I've never done a third party booking before. TIA!
