DIS Ladies Only Meet 2006 Weight Loss Challenge - Starts March 28

Good morning! I hope everyone has done well this last week! I could have done a lot better....getting back on track today :thumbsup2 :teeth:
 
Good morning everyone. I hope that ya'll have a great weigh in. I stayed the same as last week but am happy because yesterday it showed that I had gained a pound. :thumbsup2
 
I gained 5 this week. Pretty bummed. I am going to try to get back on the band wagon today. My issue has been being stuck in a house with 2 kids all day every day. Nothing to do but eat. Also, I am wondering if I might be expecting. I really hope I am not since that would be a major damper on our trip but we will just have to wait and see.

Honestly I don't know. I have had some similar symtoms from the last time I was, but they aren't as intense. I think it's probably just my imagination and heart burn from eating badly this week. We will find out in about a week.

I haven't been to this thread all week. Sarah, I have just learned that you have set your goal to catch me in my weight loss. I know you can do that. It will be a great motivator for both us :thumbsup2
Sarah, as long as there are no extenuating circumstances, like being pregnant, I am sure that you will see your weight balance out closer to where you were last week if you have a couple REALLY GOOD days with some good amounts of hard excercise. I found this happened when I had a bad week.

I managed to stay the same this past week which is as good as can be expected for the eating I did. Thankfully the excercise I am getting in is still working. I am trying to work up to 10 consecutive minutes of jogging on the treadmill at 4.5 miles/hr. I can do 6 so far. I can do about 12 minutes in a 20 minute workout but I have to rest in between.

I actually had a guy comment on my improvement on the treadmill. I did not like this... I thought I was oblivious to others at the gym. It worries me that the other regulars are starting to notice me. I want to be invisible until I reach my goal weight. :rolleyes2

Sarah, I hope whatever makes you happy is what happens for you!

Regardless of what happened last week, you are still down 8 pounds! That is great! The five pounds that you gained will be gone before you know it! Don't beat yourself up. As long as you realize what you are doing, you can stop. I hope the best for you and please keep us updated. If you are pregnant, it will not be a damper! I was pregnant and went to DL and had a great time! :teeth:
 
I just wanted to pop in real quick to give the 8 week update. A total of 68 pounds has been lost in the last 8 weeks (and kept off).

I know some of us had a rough week this week (and I am still missing a couple weights from people too) but hang in there. You can do it. So can I. :thumbsup2

:woohoo: 68 lbs!!! Way to go Ladies! Sarah, maybe find something else to do while you are stuck in the house, like a favorite book or something crafty. I know that if my hands are busy doing something I don't snack more then I should. Just a little suggestion. :hug:

i just want to lose 15 pounds............

i got excited over ordering pizza last night.
i ordered 2 large ones.

i ate 5 pieces and am sick today over it.
need to put that on my do not list............no more pizza.
it is not diet food. :sad2:

For those of you who want to lose like Janet.. 60 pounds in 4 months..here is her menu:

Sample Menu #1
Breakfast:
6 egg whites
1/3 c oatmeal

Lunch:
4 oz. grilled chicken breast
Organic mixed salad

Afternoon Snack:
3 oz. grilled shrimp
1 c mixed veggies

Dinner:
4 oz. filet mignon
15 grilled asparagus spears


Sample Menu #2
Breakfast:
6 egg whites
3 oz chicken sausage

Lunch:
4 oz grilled chicken breast
Baked yam
Steamed green beans

Afternoon Snack:
3 oz turkey breast
1 c butternut squash

Dinner:
4 oz grilled salmon
Couscous
Grilled vegetables


I like sample menu #2! Seems livable.
She also works out up to six days a week for 45 minutes. She does cardio, plus toning moves like squats and backwards walking. I personally suggest a Walk Away the Pounds DVD and use weights or try The Firm with the Transfirmer....it works!
 
Hello everyone. Well, its Monday. Doesn't feel like it but it is! So that makes tomorrow Tuesday.

When I went to the store, I got some things to take for lunch. I have a bad habit of buying it and then not making the best choice when I do that.

Morning everyone! Today's Tuesday and you know what that means. :)

I am down .5 this morning. And since I didn't make the best choices this weekend, I am definitely o.k. with that. Going to try and do better this week.
 
No booties and blankets here, yeah!!!! But did find out one of my best friends who just started trying like 3 weeks ago is pregnant! I am so excited for her. It's her first! Didn't wi this morning. Just couldn't do it. But it would have been bad...real bad!
