i already knew this but at curves the instructors try to drill this into your head.
they weigh you once a month on the date you started from.
i weigh myself every morning to see if i am staying on my schedule. i count calories but if i don't know what they are for a food product, i just guess.
if i go up a lot then i know not to eat 2 chalupas in one meal......
i weigh myself naked every morning after i eliminate.
that weight is your true weight. this is what curves tells us.
if you weigh yourself after you have coffee, clothes on, eat food, the scale will increase even if it was only an hour prior you did the morning weigh in.
i will flucuate 2-4 pounds during the day or night. i have got on the scale just to see the difference by eating or drinking my 10 cups of coffee.
i just ignore those numbers as my true weight is the first thing in the morning one.
so girls, if you are weighing yourself at other times, it will be a higher number.
kelsco, so you gained 4 lbs. that happens to all of us while we diet.
think of it as a learning experience. don't repeat what you did last week.
try to walk at least 20 minutes a few times a week. even if you only walk one time for 15 minutes, it is better than doing none at all.
you will achieve your goal miss canada, so will kat and shirley.
i keep a journal of my food intake, goals for the week and the amount of exercise i do.
i record the weight in the morning, exercise thru out the day and all calories broken down by product and time i ate them.
and when i walk, i add that in also.
this way on mondays, i look at the journal and analyze what i am doing right and what i am failing to do presently.
once you start recording it all, you change your eating habits.
this is what has helped me lose the pounds so far.
all of you hang in there.
you will be winners no matter if you lose short of your goal. it is your health and a change of habit we are striving for.
