Hello Ladies! Sorry that I have not been around much the last couple of days. I've been hanging out at home. Just checking in. If there is anything important that has changed please let me know via pm? :beg:

Not here, Wendy. :)

Good morning all!

Well, I am up .5 this week. But all things considered, that's not so bad and I still have a chance for the 5 for June if I get my behind in gear.

good morning skinny ladies.......
will be sending kat my pm now.

cross your fingers we are on the road to victory here with our weight loss this week.

Good morning, girls! I hope that you all have losses this week. This is the second week in a row without a loss or a gain. I haven't been sticking to my program. Starting fresh today! Good luck everyone! :sunny:

morning miss dukes......

look at the bright side of this january, you haven't gained anything and that is a very good thing.

maybe you have hit a plateau and will start losing this week.
i have stayed at one weight for 11 days before i dropped once before.

come play on the thread and yak some today if you can.

 I meant to put that in the main thread. lol Oh well. :teeth: So this week I stayed the same. Didn't excercise enough this last week. Start of a new week I will excercise more!

Hello everyone. Well didn't gain, didn't lose. Kind of disappointed because Sunday I walked for 5 hours at Kings Dominon, thought that would count for something. I am not sure how this works but I still lost an inch in my waist and 1/2 inch in my hips, go figure.

Hope everyone has a great day and congrats to those who lost and everyone else (like me) just hang in there.

wendy, staying the same is the next best thing to losing weight.

once you start exercising, you will drop weight.

remember this: the slower you lose the weight, the more likely you will not gain it back.

i learned that when i was recovering from an eating disorder.

i never believed it until i tried to diet the healthy way

wendy, don't be hard on yourself.
you will lose weight

shirley what i am going to tell you you should remember. i know you tease about forgetting things, but you won't on this one.

losing inches is almost better than losing weight.

i started curves on march 21. i was gung ho on losing a lot of weight.
my weight loss is coming off slowly. but, i have lost inches.

in the first 8 weeks at curves, i have lost 15.5 inches. holy crap! i was not impressed with that until i tried on some clothes that were in the back of my closet. they almost fit in the waist....

you have lost 1.5 inches and that is terrific.
some women would kill for losing that many inches.

if your clothes feel looser, that is what counts!

i never believed or listened to the blah blah i was given about concentrate on loosing inches before pounds. but, i was happy to loose enough inches to be able to get my **** in a true size. all my clothes/slacks/jeans are so stretched out, it is difficult to know what my size is.......i tried on slacks at kohls and my goodness some fit me..

don't give up the ship shirley. loosing inches is fantastic.

what ever you have been doing, you are doing it right.

i read that if a woman is over 40 and her waist is 35 inches or less, she is in good health.

Hello everyone...

I gained 4 lbs this week. This was expected as I have not been good but at the same time it was a surprise because I have been weighing myself every day and managing to maintain same weight right up to and including the day before weigh in day :confused3

I should feel worse than I do :sad2:

You should not feel worse than you do! Don't beat yourself up about it (or talk about beating yourself up about it) MANY things can shift weight from one day to the next...which is one reason you should not weigh yourself every day...it can get discouraging.

Alot of us have not had the best week, myself included. This is not the time to give up girls. This is the time to remind ourselves that we're in control of this situation and we can and will do better.

I want everyone to take a deep breath and just kick this week's weigh in to the curb. That's what I am going to do. I am still going to try to lose that five for june and I hope everyone here will join me!

Almost all of us stayed the same or gained. Don't let it get you down. Let it go and move on. :thumbsup2

Thanks Mac. I will have to write this down so that I don't forget. :thumbsup2 My next thing I want to happen is for someone to actually come to me and ask me if I have lost weight. Hasn't happened yet. :lmao:

i already knew this but at curves the instructors try to drill this into your head.

they weigh you once a month on the date you started from.

i weigh myself every morning to see if i am staying on my schedule. i count calories but if i don't know what they are for a food product, i just guess.

if i go up a lot then i know not to eat 2 chalupas in one meal...... :rotfl:

i weigh myself naked every morning after i eliminate.

that weight is your true weight. this is what curves tells us.

if you weigh yourself after you have coffee, clothes on, eat food, the scale will increase even if it was only an hour prior you did the morning weigh in.

i will flucuate 2-4 pounds during the day or night. i have got on the scale just to see the difference by eating or drinking my 10 cups of coffee.

i just ignore those numbers as my true weight is the first thing in the morning one.

so girls, if you are weighing yourself at other times, it will be a higher number.

kelsco, so you gained 4 lbs. that happens to all of us while we diet.
think of it as a learning experience. don't repeat what you did last week.

try to walk at least 20 minutes a few times a week. even if you only walk one time for 15 minutes, it is better than doing none at all.

you will achieve your goal miss canada, so will kat and shirley.
i keep a journal of my food intake, goals for the week and the amount of exercise i do.
i record the weight in the morning, exercise thru out the day and all calories broken down by product and time i ate them.
and when i walk, i add that in also.

this way on mondays, i look at the journal and analyze what i am doing right and what i am failing to do presently.

once you start recording it all, you change your eating habits.
this is what has helped me lose the pounds so far.

all of you hang in there.
you will be winners no matter if you lose short of your goal. it is your health and a change of habit we are striving for.

hang in there princess.
it is much better to stay the same than to gain.

i bet next week you will have dropped a pound or two.

thanks for your kind words.

i'm in this with you guys.

i did drop some weight but will stay mum on it for now.
next tuesday i am going to hear some of your success stories.

we have 4 months to go.
you all will do it

Also Ladies, I'd like to add a little something to Mac's awsome advice. First thing after going to the restroom weigh-ins are -really- good! The later in the day it gets the more swollen you are. I don't know about the rest of you but by the end of the day my feet and legs etc. are swollen. So yes I agree with Mac, weigh yourself at the same time hopefully you all will choose to start doing it (If you are not already) first thing after you wake up. :grouphug:

Well I have some kinda good news...

I weighed myself again this morning (I know I'm not supposed to but I just couldn't stop myself) and it looks like I didn't gain 4 lbs - the scales just decided to be off on weigh in day only. I might have gained half to 1 pound or at least that is what it was showing this morning.

I weigh myself at the same time every week (every day lately). First thing in the morning when I wake up I go straight to bathroom and then weigh myself wearing the same thing each time (NOTHING!) so it is kinda weird that it was so far out yesterday :confused3

Anyhow, I feel better. Yesterday when I thought I had gained all that weight, I was discouraged but I knew it was time to give myself a lecture. I have been weighing myself each day knowing that the day I saw a gain was the day I might start to try harder. I was basically giving myself permission to make excuses as long as I maintained my weight. I hope that this mishap has motivated me to get back on track without the damage of a 4 lb gain.

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

thanks for sharing with us kelly.
wow, that is GREAT news to hear.

weighing yourself daily helps me keep on track of my goal.
if i graze at the chinese buffet one night, i need to know what damage i did the next day......... :teeth: then i drink more water and eat more strictly.

kelly, i am so glad you are not discouraged over yesterday.
just think of the low number you will have next tuesday for the weigh in !!

that should lift your spirits big time

thanks for adding that info wendy.

some of the gals weigh themselves later in the day.
they should be aware of what you said about swelling so they don't feel let down if the numbers on the scale aren't pleasing.

please add to anything i post on here wendy.
we are all in this together.

i just hope i can encourage some of you that whatever you do lose, it is an accomplishment.

if we fall short of our goal by trip time, don't despair. you are in the process of changing life styles and it takes a long time to do that

sarah, we haven't heard much from you on this or the other thread.
have you had any luck on finding a new job?

whatever happens, stay on your diet. something good will happen for you soon. while you are off work, take walks and stay with the new lifestyle of eating.

we all are thinking of you. :grouphug:

princess michelle, i have been thinking about you the last 2 weeks and wondering how you are doing.

i know it is hard for you with the changes that have happened to you and just want you to know, everyone here misses you and worries about you since you stay so quiet here.

are things any better for you know with the bf issues? are you adjusting better or is the pain still the same?

if i am asking too much, just tell me to lay off the subject.

please come back and let us know how you are doing. all of us here send you a :grouphug: and hope we will hear from you soon.

sissy says, hang in there, men are not worth it........she knows as she has been thru a few of them
