Dis Con 2 - Day 9, December 11,2002

My flight left on time – or I am assuming it did – the flight wasn’t full and they announced that we could ‘spread out’ so I did – found a empty row and was asleep before the plane left the gate. Didn’t wake up until we landed in Midway. Had about a 2 hour layover and was soon in the air heading home.

My brother was waiting for me and was glad to see me home. He had been dealing with my mom live while I was dealing with her on the phone during the trip.

Dropped brother off at his house and went to the post office and then to school to pick up my daughter – who’s first words were “What did you buy me” and not boy did I miss you mom.

Final Thoughts:

Before I left I was having serious thoughts of do I go – do I stay – but was glad I went – it was good to see friends again and be with friends especially the ones that knew what I was dealing with.

The crowds were fairly light. The weather was very different from the previous year – but still had days of sunshine. It was definitely cooler – but that was ok with me too.

This was my second stay at the Dolphin and would stay again.

In the end – I was glad I went –

Thanks for the great trip reports (and pics). I'm glad you went and were able to spend some time with friends in such a wonderful place. Was lucky enough to meet a few DISers at the Dec. 8 MVMCP (I'm bad with names) and would love to try and make next years' DISCON!!!
