Did anyone get a Pin Today?

HI,

If your code ends on 10/2 and you want to check in 10/1....I believe the code applies to your entire stay.

I received a pin that is good through 10/2.. I wanted to stay from 9/27 through 10/4 and they told me I would pay regular price for 10/3. I thought the same thing that the discount should apply to my entire stay since I booked before the expiration... they didnt agree

Nothing special but my friend got a pin this weekend. the 20/30/40 year round pin (not the alice email the other one). I signed her up on disney's site a week ago, they have never been, and I went in and did the save 3 resort offers thing last monday, but Saturday she had a pin. Never called, never got anything in the mail, etc. so I am convinced that the play w/ the dates/save offers thing on the website works.


FWIW I got 2 pins last week in my EX's name. But they weren't anything I hadn't gotten before, both were room only discount (one was Alice email other one was explore resort options email).

I got my first pin code for this year: the 20/30/40 code for most dates through Dec.16th, 2010. Still want to wait to see if I can get Free dining code for Oct. It's good to see I am on the list. I called yesterday and I had no pin codes at all. Maybe there is something to calling to check?

Nope it won't work for when we want to stay...I called yesterday

DH got one in the mail yesterday (we are in MA).
A postcard that says "Time to plan your dream-come true".
This one was definately *triggered* from our stay at AKL in Sept 08. The reason I know that is that for some reason they had our name spelled incorrectly on the reservation when we checked in (last name off by one letter). We got it 'fixed' when we arrived at AKL, but the PIN he got yesterday came with to the misspelled last name.

I could change my dates and stay at the end of September instead of the 1st week in October BUT...the kids will only miss 4 days of school instead of 5...we can actually be there on my birthday...we are driving and can easily eat off property....the dining plan wasn't that great last year. What do you think???

We were going to do the same thing and change our dates to September; but we love the F&W Festival and it begins on October 1, 2010. Unless you want to be there for F&W, I dont see any reason not to change dates.

Got my card in the mail today. I've been driving DH nuts about getting a pin and it magically showed up in the mail box today.

We never got a card in the mail, or an email, but I have been lucky with pin codes in the past, so i called them and asked if I had a pin attached to my name. We had the room discount pin code for most of the year attached to our name. The quotes she gave me were about $1000 less than what the price online was. I really want a free dining pin as that is still cheaper for our large family, but I will take what I can get. I'm going to book with this now, and hope for a free dining pin later. We want to go in December, so regular free dining time won't work for us.

So I have been waiting for a pin and received one that expires 10/2. We plan to leave 10/4... nice right? So my DH and I decided just to book the trip and when I called I had another pin attached to my name. Saved me only $100; but hey, thats $100. I called 3 days ago and no pin and the CM told me that they sometime have trouble finding these pins with their new system. So I'm thinking that maybe if you book the trip, (you dont have to give a down payment right away), you can check that way if you have a pin.

Still hoping for a free dining or a better discount because we really want to take the Backstage Pass Tour... but it's soooo expensive......
