Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

I love Riverside! We have stayed there 4 times. The food court there is good. We love the boat to Downtown Disney. It is so pretty there. I think you will love it!

So glad you were able to book another night at POR I know you have been dying to stay there and really explore and hopefully now you will have that time LOL!!!!

Loving your plans seems like you have a pretty good handle on it! I need to work on mine so I can have a better handle on mine!!!

Can't wait for our Sunday lunch date!!!

Well heading out for the dulcimer festival and shooting guns...LOL...I lead an exciting life!

I've put those other two Haley Mills movies in my queue, but have to wait until my DH gets his Mystery Science Theater 3000.:headache:

Plans look good, and congratulations on your 2 nights at POR. It looks like a beautiful resort.:goodvibes

Another night at Riverside? Fantastic. :)

As far as 1900 Park Fare, if you've never done it before, I'd highly recommend it. As far as breakfast buffets go, I think it's one of the best I've had at Disney. Plus, Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter are great fun. I think you would enjoy it. Maybe you could have a late start, go to breakfast and then spend the rest of the day at AK?

no advice or suggestions from me, sorry :confused3 but I'm trying to learn from you ;)

Everything looks great to me.:thumbsup2
Thanks! My schedule is a work in progress for sure...I've been up for an hour and I've already made changes!

Hurray for another day at Riverside!!! Does this mean you are going to do henna tattoos with us now???

Charles is quite familiar with the "Ihaven'tbeenabletoDISinpeaceallweekIamgoingtoupdaterightnow!" look! LOL!
I think I will be able to fit in the henna tattoos but I do think afterwards I will probably head back to Riverside to enjoy that before my nighttime activities. Are you at Epcot that whole day??

POR is beautiful.

I've never been but I've always read great reviews about dinner at Ohana.
Ooooh...Ohana. It didn't quote your other comments but I remember them! I think I do want to do the morning EMH's at MK on Thursday. I better check to see that they are still scheduled that day!

I just discovered that AK has EMH the night of 10/1. I've read that AK is really magical at night and am re-thinking our 5:30 dinner reservation at The Wave because of it. Just a suggestion....you could have a long morning at the resort and then hit AK for EMH....
I looked on Disney's website this morning and they are saying the evening EMH's are Friday 10/2 and that works better for my schedule! Park Hoppers here I come!

You know how I love boats! I am hoping to take it down there at somepoint! It's so hard to fit everything in.

Thanks for posting that. They also switched the EMH morning on 10/3 from DHS to Epcot. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!:headache:
Changes! EEEEK!

That worries me. Be careful! My dad is an avid "shooter" I guess and I have never participated because the idea of me with gun scares the crap out of me! :lmao:

I really can't wait to see Riverside. I feel so lucky to be staying at two wonderful resorts this trip. :cloud9:

Pfff to Mystery Science Theater. I truly can't wait to take pictures of both OKW and Riverside! :yay:

Oooooh! Why didn't I think of that!!?? That is a great idea. That is why I like putting my plans out there, after looking at them so much sometimes you miss obvious things like that. 1900 Park Fare and then AK on Tuesday is :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Thanks!

It is a little odd but very cool to see yourself in someone's DIS plans! I can't wait!! :yay: Congrats on an extra night. That means (I hope) we can all hang out for longer on Friday now! :)

I am dreaming about the bbq chicken flatbread at Jiko.

And the cobb salad at Brown Derby.

And the cheeseburger at Sci Fi.

And the onion soup at Chefs. (Not to mention the waiters! ;))

Sorry - no suggestions - just excitement!! :hyper:

Yay for another day!!!! Plans are looking good! Wish I could be going too.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Did I miss something? CP are you going this fall?

Great update, LL! Your plans look way better than mine..I have to get on mine too, it's sneaking up on me! Which is a GOOD thing!!:thumbsup2 You've got a good handle on things....seems like a reasonable and fun plan of attack! Looking forward to more.

Hope you get to enjoy some more of this SUN we're getting!!!:cheer2:

LL I am here. I knew you had started this but for some reason I just kept forgetting to stop by. I am so happy that you get to go on another trip. Now I am off to catch up.

I think I will be able to fit in the henna tattoos but I do think afterwards I will probably head back to Riverside to enjoy that before my nighttime activities. Are you at Epcot that whole day??

The plan right now is Epcot all day Friday and Saturday -- if we decide we have seen all that we want at the Food and Wine on Friday, we will head to a different park on Saturday, but from what I have read, there will be plenty to keep us occupied. :thumbsup2

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Did I miss something? CP are you going this fall?

Yes, just a quick trip for Food and Wine and DIS meets, and it will just be Charles and me.

Monday: Hollywood Studios all day. No break since after Brown Derby the park will be closed. I plan to hopefully enjoy the OKW pool afterwards.

Friday: Epcot to meet up with CP.

A closed Hollywood Studios will make for some great photo ops! :thumbsup2

A great DIS meet - very cool!

Isn't it though? Friday I plan to start my day at Epcot and end at AK, I do want some time to take a break and enjoy Riverside a bit so I will probably play it by ear but I do want to do the Henna tattoos.

I'm obsessing over ADRs again. I want to add in another one but I don't know why or where I want to eat, I just have this compulsion to add another in. :confused3

Yay for another day!!!! Plans are looking good! Wish I could be going too.

I'm very excited for my added in day. I've been fretting over the cost of flights and Marc said to me today...just pick the best times and if it's a little more expensive so be it. YAY! :rotfl2:

Your trip will be here before you know it!! I did a bunch of cleaning today, bah. Oh well, my house looks nice at least.

LL I am here. I knew you had started this but for some reason I just kept forgetting to stop by. I am so happy that you get to go on another trip. Now I am off to catch up.
Thanks for joining in! Are you going to be doing a PTR for your upcoming trip? :rolleyes1

Gotcha. :thumbsup2 I'm thinking if I leave Epcot by Noon-ish, I will have plenty of time to get everything else done that I want too that day. Who knows...if I am having fun then I'll stay longer.

A closed Hollywood Studios will make for some great photo ops! :thumbsup2

A great DIS meet - very cool!
Won't it? It's going to be so AWESOME. I'm hoping to close down MK on Sunday too. I'd like to see the park emptier at night. :wizard:

It's time for my favorite Villain.

From The Little Mermaid on Broadway.

So delightfully evil!

I love Ursula for many reasons.

*She's from The Little Mermaid, we all know how I feel about that movie.
*She's purple.
*She's evil.
*She looks JUST like my grandmother.

Seriously. She even has the same mannerisms of my grandmother. In case you were suspecting, my grandmother is not the warm and fuzzy type of grandmother. In fact, I don't get along with her at all even as a child. We just rub each other the wrong way. My cousins and I would tee hee and giggle while watching The Little Mermaid because our Mema looked JUST LIKE HER. She was not amused when we pointed this out to her. :rolleyes1

Now if I was more evil and Ursula-like, I'd post a picture of my Mema but I believe that my karma couldn't take it, so use your imaginations. Marc & I were watching The Little Mermaid the other night searching for Hidden Mickey that Jen told me about in her PTR and we are watching Ursula and Marc asks me a question.

Marc: How long has your grandmother been spending winters in Florida?

Me: Only since she met Roger (her husband), so the last 10 years or so. Why?

Marc: (In a totally serious voice) I was just wondering if the animators saw her on the street one day and decided to model Ursula after her.

Me: Laughing uncontrollably.

You know that lip biting thing Ursula does? Mema TOTALLY does it. It's creepy. I don't see her often anymore but whenever I do, I have to resist humming Poor Unfortunate Souls to myself.

I fear this post makes me sound heartless and mean....I apologize for that. Some people are just not nice and my grandmother is one of them. I came to terms with that many years ago. I have to keep myself laughing about it or I'd cry.

Moving along...
On a sad note, I have read that The Little Mermaid on Broadway is shutting down in August. :guilty: I was really hoping to go see this. I also read in the same article that they are planning a National tour but I fear that this won't get off the ground. I'm toying with the idea of going to NYC just for a day...I don't really want to stay overnight and we live close enough where we might just be able to do it. I'll keep you posted.

I love your plans so far --- and of course you may make some changes along the way... that is what mulling things over is all about :thumbsup2

BUT what I see looks great to me! :goodvibes

Yes, just a quick trip for Food and Wine and DIS meets, and it will just be Charles and me.

Wow. I probably read it in passing somewhere but it must've just zoomed over my head. (It's summmer...that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) :rotfl:

Well, I can't wait for plans on that. ;)

WHAT?!?!?! It's CLOSING!!! Dang it--I was planning to go see it while in NYC next year. Poop. It's one of my favorite Disney Broadway musicals too. I need to keep up on my Broadway news.

ANYWHOM...
That's scary your grandma being just like Ursula. *shiver* She's one of my favorite Disney villians though (after Cinderella's stepmother and the Queen of Hearts). I love your character o' the (almost every) day. :3dglasses

You know, ever since you said that your grandmother was like Ursula (was it on your first PTR or the Lapuettes thread?), I think of that every time I see Ursula!

I am rolling about Marc's comment! That's an awfully good theory! :rotfl2:

Good pick! Ursula is a great villain. I love that she's a curvier gal () and proud of it! Your grandmother looks like her?:scared1: Sorry you don't have a great relationship with her, but you're right. Some people are just more difficult than others and relationships can't be forced. I'm glad you can laugh about it.

I'm very upset about it! I want to go see it but I have a lot going on in August with work so I am not sure if I am going to be able to sneak away to do it.

As soon as I could walk whenever my grandmother came near I started screaming. As a baby I knew. :rotfl:

Hehehe. I think it was on my first PTR but I am not sure. Yes it was a good theory...too bad she wasn't down there at that time or I would be convinced they did. :rotfl2: The way he said it too, totally thought it was a serious conversation and then I just cracked up. Before he met her, he thought I was exaggerating about her and the way she is....when he did finally meet her his eyes were wide in astonishment and when she left...he had no words. My mom and I just laughed at him.

Yes she does, it amuses me. I can laugh about it now...it's taken years of practice!

I'm a bit jealous as POR is somewhere I've been wanting to explore myself. The grounds/landscaping/theming/ambience seem magical, even more so when you have the time to stroll around and not be rushed. Congrats on the extra night!

I'm a park hopper kinda guy. Especially with DHS and Epcot. You can do DHS and then take the boat over to Epcot....love it...

Jiko....heaven
