Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

Okay, just read your last update....

Shoes, women and their shoes!;)

I do have to admit that I'm looking for a pair (or 2) of new flip flops for the trip.

I really do like your autograph book. I wish I was artistic...sadly, I'm not....

Very pretty hair LL! Love the autograph book! Very creative. :goodvibes I must admit I've never seen Pollyanna. popcorn:: I should watch it sometime.

Oh I haven't watched Pollyana in years - I think I'll be putting that on the DVD player sometime this weekend.
It's such a great feel good movie. :goodvibes

I dont think I have ever seen "Summer Magic". I may have to check that out.
Yes, it's great. Burl Ives and the mother from Swiss Family Robinson is in it. Plus you can't beat the song "Ugly Bug Ball"

"The Moonspinners" is another cute Haley Mills movie. Perfect for a summer evening since it takes place in Greece.
I haven't seen that one yet. I must put it on netflix.

Yes...SHOES! Will you be debating your flip flops on your PTR? :lmao: I don't think I'm artistic, I think I have just watched my mom be crafty and it rubbed off on me.

Thank you so much. Pollyanna is a great movie that EVERYONE should see at least once in their lifetime.

I feel like a horrible PTR writer this week. I really have been wanting to do an update but I just haven't had the time or motivation. I promise one or two this weekend. :thumbsup2

I pulled out my old Pollyanna VHS last weekend. I've been wanting to call somebody a 'snitch-baby' all week. :)

Take a break for a few days and maybe you'll get motivated again. It does take time and effort to do these reports and keep up with everyone else's, and then there is the little matter of real life. Cut yourself some slack. :flower3:

Just watched Summer Magic on youtube in 13 parts. I like it like that. Watch a part, do a chore, and just keep going until everything is done. :thumbsup2

LL, you and your creativeness inspired me tonight. ;) I went to Michaels and scored big time by getting all of the components for these:

(That one is a bit more fancy now that I added some characters to it.)
0022.jpg

I made 5 of these suckers. LOL. Thanks for the idea!

My DD's birthday is the same as your's. She will be 13 this year :sad2: Where does the time go? I am enjoying both of your reports.

When I started this I washed it one last time using a regular shampoo. After that I wash every other day using a conditioner with no silicones. Here in the states the V05 conditioners and Suave conditioners are really cheap, and work well for washing. Then I follow up with a thicker non-silicone conditioner. Once everything is rinsed, I rinse with cold water and then use a light non-silicone gel and scrunch it in while my hair is upside down, and plop my hair for about 15 minutes or so. Then I remove the towel and let it air dry. The first week was rough. My scalp took awhile to adjust to the change, but since that first week it's been wonderful. My hair is much less dry, and I never get the hard feeling I used to get. On days I don't condition wash, I just "wash" using plain old water.

For anyone who's interested there is a great website for people with curly hair. www.naturallycurly.com. Lots of great tips in the forum section. I'd guess they'd help with perm hair too.

Sorry for the slightly off topic LL,
The no poo routine!!!!!!!!!

Floss-this WORKS! When I have long hair, I swore by this. I took a while to find the right "conditioner shampoo", "conditioner conditioner" and hair product, but it was worth it! My hair was so nice after I got into the routine! :thumbsup2 It made doing my hair very easy and manageable.

And "plop" - is that the naturallycurly.com plop? There are even diagrams on that website on how to properly plop your hair. You look absurd, but it too, works!

I have really short hair now, so my curls aren't as prominent with my type of curl, so I have to use shampoo to dry it out some. But when my hair gets to be at my shoulders or longer, the shampoo gets tossed! :goodvibes

Ok, I am already in full swing researching this and am all set to get started! I have been struggling with very dry hair for so long, so this sounds like it might work really well with my hair! :goodvibes

LL - thanks for your patience, I promise no more OT hair talk!!

It is! :lmao: In the winter time I'd actually sleep with it plopped since my thick hair takes so long to dry.

My hair is a bit more wavy than curly so I find it works better for me to use the non-sulfate shampoo bars once or twice a week.

This is what I use, and then I'll stop taking up space on LL's PTR with this stuff. Just PM me if you need any more info on this stuff, or have any questions. It's worked wonders for me. I don't know if they carry any of these in Germany or not.

Conditioner for Condition Wash - Usually V05 Kiwi Lime, or Suave's ocean breezes conditioner. (Well it's ocean something or other). All are thinner conditioners and better yet nice and cheap. You tend to need alot of conditioner to wash with so cheap is good.

Shampoo Bars (non-sulfate) - Any of the ones from www.chagrinvalleyfarms.com they have wonderful soaps too. Love the cornmeal and honey ones!

Conditioner for regular conditioning - L'Oreal Nutri Gloss for hair that's Curly or Wavy. (It's in a pink container). Only the curly/wavy formula is silicone free, all their other ones have the bad stuff in them.

Styling Product - Herbal Essences Set Me Up gel

If you visit the naturally curly site, they may be able to help you find products in Germany. There are people from all over the world there.

And now I'll leave LL's ptr back to her again. :cutie:

Hehehe, Snitch Baby. I love it. I can totally see Brooklynn using that term with her little hand on her hip. Oh that is a good idea for moving watching!

It does take time and effort. Work is really busy lately plus I have been having to leave for doctors appointments so it takes a toll. Last night instead of updating I zoned out on a website for free ringtones for my cell.

It's a mystery -- with some romance -- and super cute! You would like it!
Excellent, I am going to put on Netflix.

Thanks. That's what my mom said but, for now, I prefer to keep it in the family. ;) And besides, I don't wanna have to deal with liscensing rights (I'm too lazy :rotfl:). But thanks for the compliments. They were a lot of fun to make!

Eaten Dinner. Check.

Watched Two Episodes of Big Love. Check.

Downloaded a new ringtone for my cell. Check. (Spotlight from Twilight ;))

Balanced checkbook & paid bills. Check.

Watered morning glories. Check.

Helped Marc with grocery list. Heck no. He just asked me to help him and I gave him the look. You know which one. The "Ihaven'tbeenabletoDISinpeaceallweekIamgoingtoupdaterightnow!" look. Groceries Smoceries.

Sigh. It's been a really long week. I've had a lot going on and even though I'm on the DIS at work, it's been busy and I have felt distracted all week.

I do have some exciting Disney news though. I have been checking Disney's website everyday for another night at Port Orleans Riverside at the discounted rate. So far no luck. Bummed out, I booked a night at Pop Century for Saturday night. I wasn't happy with that. I don't know if any of you all get this feeling. I keep making changes to my Disney trips until everything feels right. I don't know why things don't feel right but when they do I just know it.

On Tuesday I had the brilliant idea of checking other travel websites to see if they had the discounted rooms. I realized my reservations wouldn't be together but I really want to explore Riverside. Marc & I are planning to go back to Disney in December 2010 or January 2011 and we want to stay at Wilderness Lodge BUT if that doesn't work out money wise then I want to stay at Riverside. Well as of right now. I want to check it out...that trip we are planning is going to be an extravaganza and I want to it to be wonderful and I think the resort is a big part of the experience especially for us since we love to swim and spend time relaxing at the resort. One night wasn't going to give me enough time especially when MNSSHP was the night I would be staying there.

So with my brilliant idea I checked expedia first. YAHOO! They had a room for Friday night at the discounted rate!! Yayayayaya! By the time I mulled it over, canceled my night at Pop and checked one last time with Disney...that room was gone. :guilty: But they did have a waterview room available at a discount, which was still less than rack rate. I took it. I was more than happy to pay a little bit more money to get what I wanted.

So the plan is....

Sunday 9/27 - Thursday 10/1: 4 Nights at Old Key West. :yay:

Thursday 10/1 - Saturday 10/3: 2 Nights at Port Orleans Riverside. :yay:

There have also been dining changes. I am sure you are surprised! :rolleyes1

I believe I am going to change to the 1CS, 1TS and 1 Snack Dining Plan instead of the Quick Service Plan. They both work out to about the same amount money, Jen helped me with the calculations! Thank goodness for that because it makes my brain hurt!

Here how my meals stand...for now.

Sunday: Whispering Canyon Cafe with Jen.

Monday: Sci Fi Drive In with Christine. Mmmmm.....milkshake.
Hollywood Brown Derby with Paula, Christine & Jen.

Tuesday: 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast just me.
I really want to eat here so I can meet Mary Poppins. It's later in the morning so I can go to the park and then go to GF. I dunno. This is the one I am the most iffy about.
Jiko with Christine.
I am so looking forward to this one! I am getting the BBQ Chicken Flatbread for SURE.

Wednesday: Les Chefs de France with Paula, Christine & Jen.
Champagne, Cute Waiters, Lobster Bisque!

Thursday: Nothing scheduled.

Friday: Nothing scheduled

Saturday:
Nothing scheduled.

I don't plan on adding the dining plan to either night at Riverside. I will just pay for those OOP along with Brown Derby & Jiko. I think I'd like to add a TS or two to those days though. Any suggestions? I'm debating about paying OOP for Les Chefs since it's a pretty cheap meal when you get the French Menu and I could use that credit for something on Thursday. Which leads me to a different problem. I am still unsure of my park touring schedule. Sigh. I am so undecided and iffy on this trip.

I didn't park hop once in May so I am not planning on the park hopper unless I get down there and want to hop. I'll have the money in reserve in case I want to add it.

The plans right now are....

Sunday: Arrive, Check In, Magic Kingdom

Monday: Hollywood Studios all day. No break since after Brown Derby the park will be closed. I plan to hopefully enjoy the OKW pool afterwards.

Tuesday: Choice One - Go to MK, have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and then back to MK. Head to AKL for Jiko.
Choice Two - Animal Kingdom until time for Jiko. Maybe get a later start since I'd be there the majority of the day.

Wednesday: Epcot all day. Or at least the majority of the day. This is a day where I might consider park hopping to MK since it's open until 9 or I could head to DHS again since they have evening EMH's until 10.

Thursday: Again...two choices. Choice One: MK at 8AM for EMH's until early afternoon then check into Riverside and rest before MNSSHP.
Choice Two: AK at opening and do the same plan with Riverside.
For some reason I am shying away from the EMH's at MK...I don't know. I want to make sure to have enough AK time though too. Hmmm.

Friday: Epcot to meet up with CP. This is another potential park hopping day. I could go back to MK for a bit. I really don't think I want to spend the whole day in Epcot. I'm thinking just until 11 or so. I had total Epcot overload last trip and I do not want a repeat of that. I think this will be a wait and see type of day. I do know that I want Riverside exploring time.

Saturday: Departure Day. Right now with flights...I'll probably be leaving fairly early in the morning. But if not, I plan to just stick around Riverside and do more exploring before my flight.

So this is everything that has been jumbled up in my brain over the last few weeks in regards to this trip.

Any advice or suggestions?? :rolleyes1

no advice or suggestions from me, sorry :confused3 but I'm trying to learn from you ;)

Everything looks great to me.:thumbsup2

Hurray for another day at Riverside!!! Does this mean you are going to do henna tattoos with us now???

Charles is quite familiar with the "Ihaven'tbeenabletoDISinpeaceallweekIamgoingtoupdaterightnow!" look! LOL!

So the plan is....

Sunday 9/27 - Thursday 10/1: 4 Nights at Old Key West. :yay:

Thursday 10/1 - Saturday 10/3: 2 Nights at Port Orleans Riverside. :yay:

POR is beautiful.

I've never been but I've always read great reviews about dinner at Ohana.

Choice One because on Tuesday I say to stay AK for the day :rotfl:

I just discovered that AK has EMH the night of 10/1. I've read that AK is really magical at night and am re-thinking our 5:30 dinner reservation at The Wave because of it. Just a suggestion....you could have a long morning at the resort and then hit AK for EMH....
