Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

Your hair looks fabulous, LL! I can't wait to see it in person!

I love how the autograph book and trip notebook turned out -- very cute! :thumbsup2
Thanks, CP!

I love the hair!!! YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!!! The autograph book turned out so cute.....I also love the notebook.....where did you find it?!!??!!?

Good luck with the shoes and the socks....you will have to give us an update!
I found it at Borders. Thanks!

Your hair looks so pretty!princess: I have never heard of shake and bake sandles and now I am so intrigued. I can't wait to see how you like them. Your crafty projects turned out cute. Are you a scrapbooker?
I used to scrapbook a lot more. I've kinda gotten out of it. Takes so much time and money. I do love scrapbooks though.

Those be some craZy shoes!!!!!!!! I've never heard of those! It sounds like it would be kinda neat to try and that they might be a true winner though! I look forward to the results. popcorn::

Your hair looks really great! Veryyyy cute. :thumbsup2

Your autograph book and trip journal turned out great too! Are you planning on doing the picture on one side, autograph on the other?
I will document my shake and bake experience well! I think I might add pics in. It's a cute idea.

Your new hair-do looks adorable! I haven't had a perm in ages, but they always made my life in the morning so easy. Somewhere along the line, my hair started growing curly. Unfortunately it's not nearly as easy to manage as my old permed hair was, but since I've switched over to a non-sulfate shampoo routine it's helped immeasureably! I actually have curls again. :)
I really love it, so much easier. I noticed your picture on Facebook, your hair is getting longer...or at least it seems that way! It looks very pretty.

I'm going to echo most of the sentiments already thrown at you here. Baking shoes... yes, please be careful  Your hair... beautiful! My favorite thing to use is light hold spray gel. Just enough to make a nice curl with all the movement ;) Autograph books are so fun and I do the same with the signatures on one side with the photos on the other. We didn't use sharpies but we had thick Mickey pens that made it easier for the characters to hold. They sell some there too in a pinch. Journal book.... very cool! Did I miss anything?
I'm still trying to figure out how to regulate the mousse on my hair, I was a bit crunchy today. :rotfl:

LL, your hair looks lovely and I think it suits you very well! Having natural curls, my dream is having really straight hair of course! And when I go to the hair dresser I love it when they actually blow dry my hair so that it is straight. Of course it only stays that way until it hits the tiniest bit of humidity... :rotfl:

My problem with my natural curls is that they are actually not easy to manage!! What is that "non-sulfate shampoo routine", any hints on managing curls are greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you very much!

Interesting concept with baking your shoes;) hope they feel great.

Your hair looks super cute. I use to have permed hair a long time ago and loved the wash and go look. I cut my hair with layers for wash and go, but it takes more time I think I'll grow it out again and do a perm next time. Your hair will be great in all your character photos.

Love the autograph book and notebook, very cute ideas. Now I know what to do for my kiddos as I didn't like the autograph book selection online and want to have their autograph books for them before we get there. I guess a trip to Michael's will be in order over the next few months. My DH might not like me reading your PTR so much if I keep getting shopping ideas:rolleyes1

Love the countdown in ten million different time frames:rotfl:
Shhh...don't tell him you are getting the ideas from me! :lmao:

Aww, I love your curls!! :goodvibes I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it everyday- It's a lot easier for me b/c it takes so long to make the natural curls/ waves look halfway decent :sad2:
OMG 11 Mondays that seems so close LOL! PS- I can tell you are trying to be patient while Marc takes the picture :lmao:
It's 10 Mondays now! Yayayayaya! Yes, I was getting VERY frustrated.

You will LOVE those flip flops! I bought them I think in 2007 before my cruise and they are sooooooo comfortable. Actually I forgot about them until I saw your picture!! :lmao: Mine are a black bottom with orange/coral straps. You got them for a very good price too....I paid much more for them. :sad2:

Your hair looks beautiful! :thumbsup2 I have been bugging my stylist for ages for a perm but she basically said my hair will be really messed up b/c of all of my color over the years. Oh well....I have to manage with my stick straight hair

Tracy
Oh, I love hearing from someone who had them! Thanks! That is a bummer that you can't get a perm!

I've heard of these. Theyr'e supposed to be really comfortable, I can't wait to hear how you like yours! :goodvibes

LL, I love the perm! It gives your hair so much body, and it must be so much easier in the morning. I know how you feel, too, I swear my DH takes the most unflattering pictures of me. :confused3

Love it! Adorable!
Thank you so much! I love the perm. So much easier. I can sleep a good 15 minutes later now.

My problem with my natural curls is that they are actually not easy to manage!! What is that "non-sulfate shampoo routine", any hints on managing curls are greatly appreciated!!!

In brief, I've given up using all sulfate shampoos, and silcone based conditioners and styling products. The sulfate shampoos are really drying to curls and strip all the natural oils out of your hair. Silicones I had to give up because you need to use sulfate shampoos to remove them.

When I started this I washed it one last time using a regular shampoo. After that I wash every other day using a conditioner with no silicones. Here in the states the V05 conditioners and Suave conditioners are really cheap, and work well for washing. Then I follow up with a thicker non-silicone conditioner. Once everything is rinsed, I rinse with cold water and then use a light non-silicone gel and scrunch it in while my hair is upside down, and plop my hair for about 15 minutes or so. Then I remove the towel and let it air dry. The first week was rough. My scalp took awhile to adjust to the change, but since that first week it's been wonderful. My hair is much less dry, and I never get the hard feeling I used to get. On days I don't condition wash, I just "wash" using plain old water.

For anyone who's interested there is a great website for people with curly hair. www.naturallycurly.com. Lots of great tips in the forum section. I'd guess they'd help with perm hair too.

The other tips I picked up there that really helped where never use anything but a wide tooth comb on soaking wet hair, never use a regular towel - only microfiber towels or cotton t-shirts and try to touch wet curls as little as possible until they are dry.

Thanks. The pics I just posted aren't the best. (My nieces love to mess up my hair. :rotfl: ) I have been letting it grow. I haven't had a major haircut since Dec. 2007. Lately I've been getting an urge to cut it, but I'm trying to hold off for awhile in case I change my mind. :lmao: I just got it to the point I was aiming for, I want to enjoy it for awhile.

If your hair is too crunchy, try scrunching it when it's completely dry. Once it's dry you won't really mess up the curls and it will break down the extra gel.

Thanks a lot for the detailed tips! I already printed off your post so that I don't loose it! :thumbsup2

Your welcome! Honestly, I swear by it now. It took awhile to get used to, but I've been doing it since October now, and wouldn't go back for anything.

One last tip is that there are some non-sulfate shampoos you can use if you find the conditioner too heavy. I started running into that problem this summer when my hair wasn't as dry as it is all winter. I know the Giovanni lines are good, as are Dr. Bonners castille soaps and the Trader Joe's Refresh and Tingle lines. I've been using shampoo bars from Chagrin Valley farm and love them. They have a website. They last forever!

I like the notebook and autograph book. Nice job. :thumbsup2

Very cute hai! Also like the autograph book and binder. Fun, fun
Thanks! I'm quite happy with the way that they turned out. :goodvibes

You are a wealth of hair information! Thanks!! :goodvibes

That right there is reason enough! :lmao:
It really is!

I like the notebook and autograph book. Nice job. :thumbsup2
Thank you! I can't wait to collect some autographs, I haven't done that since I was 5!

Really? I'm sure you'll have a blast! I think that collecting then is fun. A lot of the characters signitures are so cool looking, plus your book of autographs makes a great souvenir.

Nope. The next time I went was when I was 13 and I was "too cool" for autographs. I'm really looking forward to it. The autograph notebook has paper that is perforation too, so if I want to tear them out and put them in a scrapbook I can. I think it might be neat to use them that way too.

Everything is looking good, LL!
The hair, notebook, autograph book, shoes...
You are getting this down to a science! :)

Great update...included hair, crafts, and shopping.

Lets see:

Flip flops look really comfy-you know I am the flip flop queen!

Love, love love your hair. Looks super cute! :thumbsup2

The notebook and autograph book are decorated super cute. Good job.

Cute hair! :goodvibes

This is going to be a boring PTR LL if you already have a bag, shoes and a trip journal! I'm going to miss the bag drama. What are you going to keep us reading with?! ADR changes? Are there t-shirts to be made? The suspense, oh the suspense! :lmao:

Ah... I remember my "too cool" phase too.

Sounds like a good idea. I usually just scan the autographs and print them out to use for scrappbooking and keep the autographs in the autograph book. Either way, they're great to use for that.

I really am. I need to stop being so good so I have more stuff to fret and write about.

Thanks! I think I finally mastered the mousse application today to my hair, it looks great today if I do say so myself! :rotfl:

I know...seriously. I have been working on some changes but nothing is concrete yet so I have refrained from posting so I don't jinx myself. :rolleyes1

LL, I just had to post to let you know that Netflix delivered Pollyanna to us yesterday and the girls and I watched it last night while we scrapbooked. It was wonderful! I balled like a baby for the last 20 minutes. Sometimes older movies don't hold up well over time, but this one surely did. The girls really liked it also, so thanks for the reminder that Pollyanna existed.:goodvibes

Oh, I am so glad that you loved it!! If they liked Haley Mills, might I suggest "Summer Magic" as well. She's a bit older but I really like that one as well. Not quite as good as Pollyanna but worth watching. :thumbsup2

Oh I haven't watched Pollyana in years - I think I'll be putting that on the DVD player sometime this weekend.
