Dec '10 TR:I Will Not Stop Stalking ADRs Until I Get To WDW!(MARCH TR LINK) 3/26

LAST FULL DAY AT WDW!!

HAPPY SATURDAY DIS FRIENDS!!

ONE MONTH TILL MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I'll be updating that PTR tomorrow but for today..here is a Dec update!!


DEC 13, 2010

Our plan of the day was to go to AK for opening, Epcot for lunch, and MK for the night. Well..in our family, the plans NEVER change but when you are getting in for free from other ppl who work at Epcot, the plans can change lol.

Would we make it for another rope drop??

NOPE!

We did not make one rope drop this trip, yet another thing that NEVER happens with my family but when people are letting you in for free, it's on their time, not yours so we slept in AGAIN and got to Epcot by 10am.

This day, Bro's old TT friend let them all in. Remember on the first night (I think I talked about this?) when bro didn't get back to POP till 5am because his friend's car broke down..that was that girl so to thank him and us for not getting ANY sleep, she let them into the park that day!

After they were all in, she back-doored us into a very crowded Spaceship Earth We thanked her again and went on the ride that had a 50min wait at that point!

Oh..and I almost forgot, she also gave us some comp FP that we of course went right over to Soarin' to use! It was a great start to the day even though it was soooo cold! Even my parents agreed. We figured that even though it was cold at WDW, you are inside and out a ton that you won't notice it. At Epcot, you notice it!! Since we were close to Nemo we rode that too! We DID NOT ride Figment at all that trip and come to think of it, I didn't ride it in Oct either..so sad!

After Nemo we went over and rode Mission Space. Bro and I rode the spinny side. Mom and Dad rode the other side. TT was after that of course. 2 rides again without waiting! I should have kept track on how many times we rode without waiting!


By that time it was nearing our 1:30ADRs. Rarely we split for ADRs but we have in the past. Bro Germany and Morocco. I could live without both to be honest with you but we have split for to do those and yes I've eaten at both before multiple times!
But this time, we split because Bro could careless about Teppan Edo and I LOVE it! Mom and Bro went off to Mexico (indoor w/the boat one) and Dad and I went to Teppan Edo!

We checked in and were called right away. For the first time, we sat with 3 other different couples. There was ZERO convo between the couples which was odd and not very Disney Like but whatever, we still had a good meal despite the fact that non of them were friendly to us or each other!

Oh, and the adult bev's you see were not mine. The girl beside me who was around my age ordered them..lucky her

The noodles are heavenly!

Both Dad and I got the steak and chicken. When you are on the DDP you can go all-out and not feel bad!

Dad got ice cream for dessert and I got the ginger cake which I We paid and were out of our ADR before Mom's and Bros!

We met up in Norway and they said they loved their meal and would go back. I've only eaten at Mexico once, hated the service, hated the food, and haven't been back. I'm glad they enjoyed it though!

After we conversed about our meals, they went to go check out some of the Santas but by that time I was FREEZING so made a detour to Mousegear to check out some merch! The whole trip I debated about getting a D & B purse since my or bro's friends could get it at 50% off and the monorail to put around the Xmas tree (since bro drove he could take it home!) but we came away with NOTHING..not one of those

Oh well, maybe next Xmas!! The purse I wanted still would have been $100+ and the monorail would have been around $40-45 I think.

The sun did finally come out so I sat outside of Mousegear and listened to the music that was going on by the fountain. Finally we all met back up and headed back to WL to start packing up and get ready for the night at MK.

We did not make it to AK at all that day or the trip but I was there in Oct and we have plans to go in March so that will do for me!

YAY for one month!!!! I just realized we leave exactly 5 weeks from today!

Ugh, sorry to hear about your sinus infection. I hope I don't have anything like that...yesterday I had a pounding headache all day.

Hooray for your brother getting his ID and enjoying his new ride. I have to say, it is pretty awesome.

That's what he said too! It was the best ride he has been on! We are all happy for him! It took a long time but patience has paid off. 2 of his friends are also moving into their townhouse so it will drop his rent to $175 + utilities. They only have a 3 bedroom but he and his friend will take 2 bedrooms and the girls will share the master so they have their bathroom. I guess the one girl has her own bed from her old apt and they had to move another bed in but still that is pretty cheap rent considering the added utilities can't be more than $100 each extra!

Now he'll have to start paying my mom back for paying his Jan rent and March rent

Ditto! It was odd because for the first time we had 3 different groups of couples who didn't know each other, my dad and I, and some random lady who was by herself. She and my dad talked a little bit since she was a travel agent but she ate very quickly and left before we placed our dessert orders. It was just a very odd experience compared to other meals we had there. For our family, we'll always have to eat with strangers because there are only 4 of us. It would be nice for once to fill the whole table without strangers lol.

So so close!!! I did book an ADR for Teppan Edo for in March in case they totally change the menu for lunch at Le Cellier and we don't think it's worth it. We always know how great the menu is at Teppan so I booked it as a back-up and will cancel it when they release the new Le Cellier menu!

I know right! We thought the Dec trip was the most crowded of all of our Dec (only 3 but still!) I think the secret is getting out that, that is a great time to go but usually the weather is not 30 degrees

We did make it! The lobby at WL once again sucked us in and we ended up hanging around there longer than what we wanted to lol. But then again when you're paying $250+ a night, I guess it's good we got our $$$ worth for once!

MORE MICKEY MAIL!!!

HAPPY SUNDAY DIS FRIENDS!!

I figured I would post a March update before my mom and I leave for the movies in a little bit!!

First of all..I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

My family and I went out to eat last Sat and then on Monday when I got into my car there was a little card with goodies inside!!

I told all the girls at work that my mom must be sending me a message because there were no food gift cards inside I'm pretty sure it was: Lose weight before WDW so you can buy new clothes from Old Navy for the trip and use the WDW gift card to buy at 2011 shirt in a smaller size She's right what can I say?!

That day, I also got the mail and we got..

Our MYW info!!!

All of it was correct thank goodness and we even got new luggage tags!

My mom and I are the only ones on the room ressie since we don't know what bro's schedule will be and since we have the DDP, he'd have to pay to have that too and might not be able to use it with us so he'll join us when he can and might stay at POFQ for a night to take in the atmosphere since we haven't stayed there since we were 11 and 9.

Finally, my shirt came from disneystore.com! I was a little unhappy that the image is pretty much the whole shirt. I'm going to see if it grows on me and if I don't think it's too big.

We'll see

Alright, I'm off to go see Just Go With It. Have any of you seen it yet?! It got good reviews I hear so we'll see how it is!

Thanks! I did notice that the new luggage tags are not as "expensive" looking as the older ones were. You can tell they are cheap plastic and very easy to bend. The strap thingys are also a still plastic but they are cute!

Thanks! It was a good movie! My mom and I loved it and laughed a bunch too. Of course it's predictable but there are some twists in it!

I'm hoping that maybe when we check in I can nicely ask if they can give me a couple. I know they have them on site since we have gotten them in the past when we booked a last minute package and there was no time to mail them. A girl can dream right?!

I have to say, I wish our trips were at the same time! I would love to meet up! It sounds like you are going to have an awesome birthday! I wish my birthday wasn't in the middle of the summer...since we only have the seasonal passes, we never get to go for my birthday.

Hi! I just read all your TR/PTR so far. We were at WDW during some of the same days as you in Dec. Dec. 10th we were in Germany during Illuminations. Probably walked right by you.

Your parade seats for the parade looked really cool. We noticed people sitting there, but never knew how people get those seats.

My youngest son, Landon, has the same birthday as you. I wish we were celebrated his birthday at WDW. Your trip plans in March look great. Can't wait to read more!

I wish our trips were the same time too!! You could always go for your birthday and just not go into the parks!! DTD would be fun and resort hopping! A lot of my favorite meals are at resorts! It would be nice to just get away even if it's for a day or two!
