I didn't live in Vista when I was a CP, I was in ChathamI'm glad I made the right decision bc my college roomie was in Vista the program before mine and hated it! She's typically very easy going even though she's an only child but was used to roommates in college so when she didn't like it, I knew I probably wouldn't !!!!
In PA, you have to take the Praxis to get your teaching certification. You have to take reading, writing, and math before you do student teaching. For your cert, you have to take a Fundamentals and Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment exams to get your cert to teach. I passed the Fund my first time back in 2007 but I'm still working on the other one. I take it again March 12th. I failed by a point in Nov so we'll see this time around. Lang Arts/Reading is my worst of it so I've gotten out my old college books/binders and started just looking at those to refresh. I did horrible in the Lang Arts/Reading classes in college so now It's coming back to haunt me!
I'll have to check out your PTR!
I lived in Vista Way too- but i don't think there were other options during my time there (1996). I think VW was it. I was in a lovely 3 bedroom ground floor with 5 other roommates. It was very odd sharing a bedroom with someone. I was a senior in college, about to graduate when i did the program and had been living with my boyfriend at the time (now hubby!), so it was quite a change, but fun. I had wonderful roomies and we still keep in touch! I miss them greatly and we've been trying to do a reunion forever. We also had fun boy neighbors across the hall! we hung out with them often and we still keep in touch with 3 of them too! 15 years ago and the friendships survive!I didn't mind Vista at all, of course back then I didn't know better and wasn't really in the know with all the places you could stay. But I ended up living with a great group of girls, had fun boy neighbors right across the hall (like "Friends"!) and a decent location. But yes, the apartments in Chatham were WAY nicer looking.
T
How funny she thought you called again
But at least you now know your tickets will be on their way snail mail
Feel better soon![]()
No sick time! Not sure how that is logically since you work with children who always get sick!
Glad the tickets are still in process and not forgotten!

That totally stinks about the Praxis! I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you need all that in Florida - you just have to pass your subject tests. I think. But I'm sure you will definitely pass this time! I'm jealous you will be moving to Orlando at some point! I love living down here in South Florida, but I have always felt very much at home in Orlando as well. I applied/interviewed for a position at Celebration School last year but they gave it to someone in house. I still think about re-locating every now and then though - but not many openings and I would really like to be in a school I think.

Love the updates Megan, sorry about all the bills- when it rains, it pours, right? My CC is crazy right now too- but it is a Disney visa, so more points, right? I paid off some of our DVC on it and just paid our DVC dues on it, so should have some nice rewards for that to use in October at least! Can't wait to hear the next update!
I'm sorry about your SuperBowl lossMy BF that I told you in an earlier post at gone to the Pittsburg game the other week, well he went to the Superbowl too! I'm so jealous of him even though his team lost. He went to
all these cool Super bowl parties before the game & met so many celebrities!
Those were some awesome parade seats that you had. I'm telling you that the next time we go to WDW, I want to go with you or your brother!
Where you able to take pics of the Castle Suite when you did see it?
It's exciting to see your Birthday trip coming together!
Your plans look great!I wish I was going in March, I could use a break from all this snow! I just told Brandon last night, the next vacation we take is going to be in February or March, to escape the winter!

Congrats to your bro getting a job, that's awesome!
Love the update! You're pictures are making me really rethink my next trip...it's gonna be SO hard not going around Christmas!Although I'm really excited to finally go to a Halloween party!
I love the new Pooh queue...from what I've seen in the pictures! The ride opened when I was there, but they still had walls up around the new queue area so I didn't get to see it!

Congrats for your brother! If I am thinking of the same chocolate place you are taking about, I hope he gets that one as it is my fav!
My DH said no more Disney trips until 2012, but I think he is bending on thatSo.... we may be going back this November! My trick to making him change his mind is telling him about all the trip reports I read, so thank you!
That was a great update! Love getting Disney mail!
I LOVE those signs at Hallmark - I just can't narrow it down to one so I haven't bought any yet. I'm also not-so-subtley hinting that I want one as a potential birthday gift every time my mom and I see themToo bad my birthday isn't til May.
The Disney shirt you bought...where did you get it? I went to wdw.com and it was NOT disneyOr did you just mean the disney store? Just curious, I'm always looking for different looking disney tees!
