The biggest is actually 18 feet, which at a speed around 30 mph is a lot to someone who does not like that falling sensation. I start getting that around 15 feet I have found, so Space does not bother me much, but I wouldn't want anyone else to read your post and think it is a kiddie ride. Even Barnstormer has more than a 6 foot drop.
I know people who LOVE the falling feeling think Space and others like it are baby roller coasters, but I am sure there are things you hate that would make some of us snicker as well. Yeah, WDW roller coasters are nothing compared to some of the thriller park ones, but you want see me there either. For most of us, it is not really a FEAR. but a physical sensation that is not pleasant.
You don't take the drops at 30mph, though. It's like 6ft by the time the cars actually get onto the hills. It's not bad at all. I also hate the sensation, but Space Mountain is nothing you can't experience on a hilly road in a fast moving car.
Seeing the tiny hills on a lights on POV video could help assuage any apprehension.
