Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

Of the past six RunDisney events we've registered for since Princess 2024, that was the worst from an IT functionality/smoothness aspect. You'd think this was Disney's first ever race registration.

I got my wife into all 3 races which I'm blessed and thankful for!

Something tells me that there are going to be more "openings" popping up soon as some others who may have had issues could cause spots to reopen. I saw it happen the last few minutes this morning even after some races were supposedly sold out.

I had to run to a meeting right after registering but huge shout out to @PrincessV for the gifted queue! Was able to get my friend registered for the 10k and all 3 5Ks I needed minutes before the 10k sold out. All my queues were at over and hour. That was such a chaotic mess.

Now that it's sold out... Were you able to get into queues to help people out? I wanted to share links but I never got past the blue screen. And when I right clicked on my first Queue ID (just testing to learn) I Didn't get a link

It was stressful.. thank Godness I have crD and wont suffer this again LOL
I couldn't register my friend today though :(… so on to monitor telegram…

Another shoutout to @rick1zoo2 for the 1-minute queue gift! My wife is beyond thrilled and you saved the day! Belle is her favorite and over-the-moon excited for the challenge.

If you plan on being at the races in Feb yourself, we owe you an Adult (or non-adult) beverage of your choice! We can DM each other if interested in the offer :)

I am sorry you didn't get your friend in. I hope something opens up soon. Today was really rough, I agree.

How would I see if something opens up, do I just keep refreshing the page periodically? Do they allow people to cancel /release their spots if their whole party didn't get in, or something along those lines?

I decided not to register for this one, because nobody in my family seems to be too excited about another Disney trip in February. Belatedly came here to see how things played out... that was quite the page-turner! Looks like a new front page system was rolled out? Congrats to everyone that made it!

So much of it is just plain luck. The last few times I’ve done rD registrations, I had to rely on gifted links because my own never moved. And before that, I’ve been shut out entirely on a couple weekends. Today, I used a gifted link to get myself in, but two of my own links did get through shortly afterward and I was able to pass them along - I probably could have gotten in on my own, but had no way of knowing. I fear that by all of us opening multiple devices/browsers/tabs, we create the problem we try to solve by gifting… but also, I love that our DIS community rallies to help each other out.

I’m sorry to those who didn’t get in this time. BT/DT and I know how it feels.

Kind of? Around 9:45am, it started reloading to blank pages, Seven Dwarf and Stitch error messages, instead of the usual links populating on the race weekend page. Then it loaded this splash screen (and did so from any page on the rD site):

Though it said it was auto-refreshing, and the page did randomly blink, it didn't actually change to add the registration button until you did a clear-cache refresh. So lots of folks missed when they were starting to let us in queue a few minutes after 10. Once it did refresh, where it says "Registration isn't open yet..." a long button appeared to enter registration, which sent you right into the queue. No more picking a race first (even though we all know that didn't do anything different).

We’re going to have to keep this in mind for future race signups. You’d *hope* that next time they’ll have the kinks worked out but at the same time this is RD.

Do we think this might be their new plan to essentially limit you to one browser? Previously when you were in ahead of time and put in the holding room, the page would auto refresh to the queue. This page makes you press a register now button, so unless your tapping super fast on all your browsers, that first one is going to be your best time making the others useless (other than to share with others). If this was the roll out of it, they obviously have some kinks to work out since not everyone got the register button at the same time. I didn't see anywhere on the teal page that indicated it was a "whoops there's a problem" page.

I don't think the queue system works any differently. My queue IDs were all still different using the same system I always use. I think this is just a way to add one more hurdle to spread out the traffic hitting the server.
