DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
'Morning all...
Out little town cranks up their big spring-ish festival this afternoon. That means that the whole of town will be completely snarled up with traffic, poorly parked SUVs and a bunch of closed major roadways. The up side of this is that since I work in our miniature downtown area, our overlords are actually recommending that folks leave early today to get out harms way. Imagine that?

Pbbfffft!
Can you even imagine?

Well, actually...
We did determine that 130,000 of something should hence forth be known as a "Donald".
Or possibly a "Stormy" or a "Hush"...

That could be important someday.

Well that's one word beginning with "s" that could explain it.
I can think of others that might be more properly descriptive...

Ahhhh...
what school is he attending? Coastal? Wilmington?

We do the same for our younger, but that place in up in the NC mountains, so summer jobs are a bit less plentiful and don't come with near as much potential nightlife and party time.

He's at Coastal

OK boys, that's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. As it's May 4th, last one in the Mos Eisley Cantina for a cheeky one before we set off to Alderaan has to bunk up with Captain Phasma. And let me tell ya, she loves a shiny helmet.

Have a great Friday boys.

Same to you. Enjoy the garden if you are working on it this weekend.
At the garden all day today, from 730 this morning to when I called it. Slowly getting there. Maybe another week. Not back on it until Sunday, we are out till then. The smoker is definitely coming out Monday. I feel some brisket in my near future.

Happy Friday. Tickets for Avengers: Infinity War tomorrow. Excited.

Same at our school. So many administrators, and no one has any idea what exactly they do.
.

They have meetings. And send emails. Yup, couldn't survive without them, :sad2:

We pay rent on a house for him during the school year, since it's a yearlong lease we are paying for it this summer anyway, so he will be staying there.

That's living right there, Butch!

You got an Adam souvenir from Trader Sam's?

I got your shiny helmet, right here!!! :lmao:

Has Cinco de Drinko started early over there my friend?

Yes, tequila and lime shooters with beer chasers. I sent the dds the the grocery within walking distance for cookies. Don't judge.

Well, I had grits on vacation. So that's a thing I won't be doing again.

I'm on the same page, for me it's the texture but I also will not touch oatmeal or porridge. In NJ the big breakfast item is pork roll, most down south have never had it although it is creeping slowly into some stores:worship:. But to be totally fair I can't really see digestive biscuits and marmite being a big favorite in the southern states:confused3:confused::eek:.
