The Alaskan red eye to Orlando from Seattle is AS 394 - it leaves at 11:10 pm & flies 5 nights a week (doesn’t fly Tues. & Wed..)

I made a comment that the ATC was union and my husband works for a union. I also stated they sometimes they have different work rules and labor rules. I'm not sure how that is political. The ATC not showing up to work is why you may have your flight cancelled. Feel free to explain.

I'm not saying they crossed any lines, or that I had any problem with them. I was just attempting to refocus by pointing out that (in this context) my only interest is getting to start my vacation in Disney.

If you're referring to the government it's not. I keep seeing you say it's open or the shutdown is over but it's actually not open nor over. It has to go next to the House "as soon as Wednesday" (at least according to the CNN article). Can we maybe try and actually wait until the President signs it signaling it's actually over to say it's over on the threads? Meanwhile for everyone else they are still impacted by things and will be still impacted by things even after the President signs it.
The necessary steps toward reopening have not been completed yet.
I'll be in WDW on January 30th, so the worst that can happen is that I may not be able to get home. Oh, darn!

It's confusing, inaccurate and misleading to have people post things as fact with such time sensitive information. Whether it's well-intentioned or not the result is still the same. And as far as we know each subsequent day is still an increase in percentage of flights that need to be reduced. On threads like these (there's a few of them) trying to keep track of people's experiences it's best to keep to accurate information. If someone wants to discuss all things political about this the controversial board seems like a good place.
I never said it was open did I? I said it will be. I don't think saying it needs to pass or thinking it will pass the house is a political statement. The fact is that's what's necessary to open the government, and I'm optimistic this is about over. I also never said flights had returned to normal either. Did I? The lecture wasn't necessary.
