DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Looks just like the guy who stares at me in the mirror... Scary.

I remember taking that picture and meeting up with you. It was just a couple of days after taking this picture:

Good times!

Seems like a match would put more heat in there than he could stand.
I think you were the first who got a picture with her.
I know I'm the only one who managed one of these.....
image.jpeg Dad and both program cast members together at the same time.

I'm really not sure? After 32 years, I thought I seen it all. The pictures don't do it any justice but there are cob webs that would make the imagineers at the haunted mansion blush. That's a wood floor, with a saw dust covering. If you look closely, there is saw dust in piles, spread out on everything. There are cans of lacquer, paint you name it. The guy uses a wood stove and two torpedo heaters to heat it!!!! You should see the electrical panel area !
I just pray nobody gets hurt or killed when this place goes up. It's not if, it's when.
I found out, the towns inspector made him clean it up two weeks ago!!! This is cleaned up Don!!!! Before there were no paths, you walked on scrap, wood cut offs and junk.

That's cleaned up?? Holy smokes. Wood stove? Torpedo heaters? This guy likes to live on the edge for sure!

Randall beat me to this one! haha!

This damn bug is still killing me, someone put me out of my misery.

OK, meet up pics per Zerf's inspiration. Boston 2014...

Jim, Myself, Paul and Jim's friend sitting in the front row at Fenway. It was a good day.

That does indeed look like a fun day!

Like a High School teacher once said, "Those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it". I can only imagine how much better off future dads will be after reading all of this.

Interesting you should quote that... DD and I had a conversation just yesterday about repeating history. She admitted to just memorizing history for school then promptly "deleting" it from her memory. I hope I have talked her into changing this method of non-retaining history.

Well... I didn't know it was THAT kind of party! :rotfl2:

Well played!

Next Wednesday my 7 month window opens to add the second week of our two week stay at the Boardwalk in a one bedroom. We never did a 15 nighter, the most I think was a 12 nighter. This trip like most of them in the last five years is just the two of us. We have our dining reservations and park days worked out. Here are the breakfast we have..... Kona, crystal palace twice and earl of sandwich.
No lunches but we do have a few diners planed. A few are new but most we have done and look forward to going back.. Trattoria al forno/ yahtsman statehouse/ chef de France/ narcoossees/ tutto wine cellar/ kona cafe/ California grill/ via Napoli/ citricos/ Il Malino/ teppen Edo/ le cellier and we are slumming it the last night at nine dragons.
There are going to be a few less cows in the world after this one! Lol

A fun day. Played tennis this AM, watched soccer on tv, futsal with youngest, grocery shopping, watching ufc fight now, and we watch Spurs Cavs in a few minutes. Lots of sports.

I'm sitting here with a face mask on and a can of Lysol. Lol
I hope everyone is feeling better soon.
I had the poops this past Monday, had the poops of going to work so I stayed home.lol

So, your the one who made all of us sick?

Does he want heat to be more comfortable with his hoard? :scared1:

Education, where everything you learn in school now can be replaced by google. I keep hoping education will change and actually teach the children something useful.

I'm hoping to do a month stay one year by banking/ borrowing in one of those really inexpensive months - once the dds are out of school. Good luck getting the trip booked.

thanks. I have most of the nights on the back end of the trip booked. I figured I start at the end at the 11 month because I'm going to be hitting the start of food and wine and figured I would stand a greater chance getting the first week at my seventh month window than the last week. If I can't get all the nights in a one bedroom, I'm not against grabbing a studio at the poly or the grand. I'd love to hit the grand a night or two I never stayed at the grand. I have stayed twice at the poly and loved it.

Sounds like a good strategy. We've stayed at all the wdw dvc resorts except Grand & Poly. I'll try to get over there in the future once all the inventory is declared.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Felling better but not back to normal, this thing is just lingering. I blame CJ as he was the first to get sick. Hope all are having a good weekend.

Great plans and good luck with booking the second week. Look forward to the ability to take a long stay someday hopefully split between a just me and DW and then time with the kids.

Quiet on the weekends around here. Wanted to do this early but the day got going.

This was a few years ago. This was still when David was a party of 4. I have a updated one as David as a party of 8.

Busy few days so just finished catching up. Hope all are healing up. I'm praying that DD and I avoid the cold that DS and SWMBO are enduring. They have been laid up for quite some time and it sounds like a pod of sea lions barking once they start hacking. It is never a good time to get sick but way too much going on this month and with the latest budget news I need to stay on top of my game to make myself look indispensable. This working for a living isn't all I was promised back in the day. Where do I file a complaint?

Sounds like a great trip, if you need somebody to take over those last few days for you my family will be more than happy to.

No seriously please take us with you.

Great now we all caught one of those internet viruses.

(edit) I can't even quote correctly anymore but I'm too lazy to go back and fix it

Morning all, just heard this is International Work Naked Day. I pray there are no pictures of any of you at work today.

Glad to see all the history and blasts from the past showing up here. It'll help future historians as they try to piece together exactly what in the heck we were doing here.
I've been around here for 7 years. I still don't know what's going on.

View attachment 148185 For those who don't know, I design hvac systems for a hvac/plumbing supply co.
I went on a job today with one of my contractors and he wanted me to put heat in this wood shop.
On match and that place will have more heat than he'd know what to do with!

just shoot me.
Been working steady all month, took a day off.
Woke up at 6am anyway
