Wow, that is stupid. Doesn't he realize his beer is gonna get warm? :smokin:

Happy Friday gents! Here's to good weekend with both Hawks and Notre Dame victories.

Can't believe the flames cut preds and hawks win streaks in back to back days.

Bettman just officially announced the All Star Game!!!! Finally!!

Chaos ensuing at my house. My 7 yo Maddie has her Bday today. We planned to celebrate tomorrow with an outdoor movie party. The weather didn't want to cooperate. DW moved it to tonight. Regardless of how chaotic it gets, I just bought a seasonal sampler of Shock Top beer, so I'll be okay. :confused3

And Tim wins the internet for the day! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

When do I collect? :lmao:

But didn't the Myth Busters do a segment that a fire extinguisher was the fastest way to get a warm beer cold:lmao::lmao:
I do believe you are right. ::yes::

Mark is the Myth Busters guru here. :scratchin

Smart man! Don't drink them too early. Remember, you need to break down all that equipment tonight before the rain comes. :thumbsup2

Good luck!! How many 7 yr old girls will be invading your home? Lol

36 hours until we start our drive to the world. Our stop over for the night will be in Rock Hill, SC. We have stayed there a couple of times before and really liked the area.
I really need this break from everything, it has been a pretty stressful couple of months.
We will be at the Halloween Party on Tues the 21st if any other dads will be around, maybe we can bump in to each other for a meet up.

Howdy Fellow dads!

I'm taking a page from Sean, I have decided to run in the 2015 St.Jude Country Music 1/2 Marathon on April 25th. This of course is my hometown race and always told myself I would run once I quit smoking and overall got healthier.

Instead of just paying my registration and being done with it, I decided it would be a better use of my time if I helped raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital of Nashville. Like all of us as dads, Charities like this one hit us deep in our hearts, even if our kids are perfectly healthy.

Like Sean, I will throw out a personal challenge, whoever donates the most will have the option to choose what color tech shirt, shorts and compression socks I wear and a phrase/saying on the tech shirt.

And on top of that, if I am in the top 5 of fundraisers for the CMM by race day. I will hold tattoo suggestions and voting. The most popular choice, I get tattooed on me.

Thank y'all for any and all support however large or small and even if you cannot donate, word of mouth is an awesome tool! Here's the link to my personal fundraising page:
http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Heroes/Heroes?px=2917088&pg=personal&fr_id=23820

I will also be selling stuff on eBay and the Net after eBay and Paypal fees will go towards fundraising.

Thanks again guys for your time!

Afternoon all. I had problems posting from the office today, so it had to wait until I got home.

Lots of friends too? I tend to hide away from all the giggling. :scared1:

Keeping beer in the back of the toilet tank keeps them cool, and is good for the environment with the lower water tank level. :thumbsup2 :lmao:
Good morning everyone.. man life seems so busy lately, and we haven't even hit the holiday season yet.

I agree. I hope it calms soon, but I think it will be busy for th next few months.

And on the knee front, I am currently experiencing the side effects of the steroid shots, have been trying to sleep for over an hour and I keep tossing and turning with no luck.
The steroid jitters. Had those before as well. Hope you were able to get some sleep.

"I'm a lumberjack and I'm not OK. I sleep all night and put crummy shows on all day."

Doesn't exactly go with the Monty Python skit but it is appropriate. Downloaded pics and video of the trip and remembered seeing the lumberjack show at WS. I wanted to give it a chance, I was not a die hard kilt boy fan, but this show is BAD. I mean embarrassingly BAD. In line with the thread's name, this show is a BAD IDEA!

You choose sides between two teams based on where you are standing. You are supposed to encourage your "team" to win the competition. I could have cared less. In the words of Bob and Doug McKenzie, "You're a hoser." "No, you're a hoser." Look it up you young pups.

First of all, the announcer guy is REALLY BAD. He tries to generate enthusiasm but has no personality and is REALLY BAD AT IT. The first competition was an axe toss at a target. The person on my team was a "Lumberjill" and do I need to say, SHE WAS REALLY BAD. I have a daughter and want women to succeed in everything they want to do, but this girl needs to go back to the Yukon. The following youtube is her first two throws at the target. They were the closest she got.

http://youtu.be/mUBYPgTuB2o

Needless to say, I put down the camera and watched just a bit more before heading to the Canada kiosk for cheddar cheese soup and their mini filet. Luckily I did not have it before the show or I may have tossed it back while watching. If I was Canada, i would send an ultimatum to the US, "Get rid of this show or we are declaring war."

As an aside, I did see for the first time the Canada film. Funny and somewhat informative but there was no apology for Back Bacon, Eh. Again, look up the McKenzie brothers.

I was up there for the Tower of Terror 10 miler and didn't see. Was it even open then. Sounded like they were getting ready for it. Off Kilter was a good group.

I survived the 7 year old infused mayhem. DW and I are finishing cleaning up. Pretty exhausted. Soccer at 9 and 10:30 tomorrow and we are finally done with events and can focus on our Disney trip. Woohoo!

Sounds like a lot of mayhem! Good luck on soccer and Disney Zen!

It was a combination of girls and boys. We ended up with around 20. We ar good friends with quite a few of them, but there are still, unfortunately, some wild ones. At one point the craziness reminded me of a scene from gremlins. Even DW came up to the fire pit and said, "I'm hiding."

Have a safe trip and have fun!

LOL. I paced myself. I remembered how much effort it is to break everything down and to put it all away. It's a bit of a challenge sober b\c our backyard isn't very well lit. I may have put a few of the good beers aside for me to enjoy after I finished cleaning up. ::yes::

Thanks! Me posting at this hour is the result of my dog waking me up to take her outside. Pretty sure that she consumed her weight in popcorn, cupcakes and cookie cake.

We had a couple of things that we had to focus on...a school project for my oldest and the Bday party for the youngest were the last 2. My family will be pretty close to a 24\7 discussion and various efforts until we arrive at WDW in 2 weeks!
