I do believe you are right. But didn't the Myth Busters do a segment that a fire extinguisher was the fastest way to get a warm beer cold![]()
Smart man! Don't drink them too early. Remember, you need to break down all that equipment tonight before the rain comes.Chaos ensuing at my house. My 7 yo Maddie has her Bday today. We planned to celebrate tomorrow with an outdoor movie party. The weather didn't want to cooperate. DW moved it to tonight. Regardless of how chaotic it gets, I just bought a seasonal sampler of Shock Top beer, so I'll be okay.![]()

Keeping beer in the back of the toilet tank keeps them cool, and is good for the environment with the lower water tank level. :thumbsup2 :lmao:
Good morning everyone.. man life seems so busy lately, and we haven't even hit the holiday season yet.

I agree. I hope it calms soon, but I think it will be busy for th next few months.

And on the knee front, I am currently experiencing the side effects of the steroid shots, have been trying to sleep for over an hour and I keep tossing and turning with no luck.
The steroid jitters. Had those before as well. Hope you were able to get some sleep.

Enjoy your trip and safe travels.Good luck!! How many 7 yr old girls will be invading your home? Lol
36 hours until we start our drive to the world. Our stop over for the night will be in Rock Hill, SC. We have stayed there a couple of times before and really liked the area.
I really need this break from everything, it has been a pretty stressful couple of months.

"I'm a lumberjack and I'm not OK. I sleep all night and put crummy shows on all day."
Doesn't exactly go with the Monty Python skit but it is appropriate. Downloaded pics and video of the trip and remembered seeing the lumberjack show at WS. I wanted to give it a chance, I was not a die hard kilt boy fan, but this show is BAD. I mean embarrassingly BAD. In line with the thread's name, this show is a BAD IDEA!
You choose sides between two teams based on where you are standing. You are supposed to encourage your "team" to win the competition. I could have cared less. In the words of Bob and Doug McKenzie, "You're a hoser." "No, you're a hoser." Look it up you young pups.
First of all, the announcer guy is REALLY BAD. He tries to generate enthusiasm but has no personality and is REALLY BAD AT IT. The first competition was an axe toss at a target. The person on my team was a "Lumberjill" and do I need to say, SHE WAS REALLY BAD. I have a daughter and want women to succeed in everything they want to do, but this girl needs to go back to the Yukon. The following youtube is her first two throws at the target. They were the closest she got.

Needless to say, I put down the camera and watched just a bit more before heading to the Canada kiosk for cheddar cheese soup and their mini filet. Luckily I did not have it before the show or I may have tossed it back while watching. If I was Canada, i would send an ultimatum to the US, "Get rid of this show or we are declaring war."
As an aside, I did see for the first time the Canada film. Funny and somewhat informative but there was no apology for Back Bacon, Eh. Again, look up the McKenzie brothers.
I survived the 7 year old infused mayhem. DW and I are finishing cleaning up. Pretty exhausted. Soccer at 9 and 10:30 tomorrow and we are finally done with events and can focus on our Disney trip. Woohoo!
~ 20 kids. I spent a good portion with the men folks at the firepit.Lots of friends too? I tend to hide away from all the giggling.![]()
Thanks!

It was a combination of girls and boys. We ended up with around 20. We ar good friends with quite a few of them, but there are still, unfortunately, some wild ones. At one point the craziness reminded me of a scene from gremlins. Even DW came up to the fire pit and said, "I'm hiding."Good luck!! How many 7 yr old girls will be invading your home? Lol

LOL. I paced myself. I remembered how much effort it is to break everything down and to put it all away. It's a bit of a challenge sober b\c our backyard isn't very well lit. I may have put a few of the good beers aside for me to enjoy after I finished cleaning up.Smart man! Don't drink them too early. Sounds like a lot of mayhem! Good luck on soccer and Disney Zen!
