That's the best place to start!

They were all at US for the opening of Diagon Alley. Take a look at those pics, not on inch of open space in there. I'd like to see it at some point, but I'll wait until the newness wears off a little.

I'm going to be down in September, and was thinking about going over to check it out; but seeing that crowd, I'm thinking not so much...

No way I would stand in those lines. A couple of years ago, the Dis hosted a special event at Harry Potter Land 1. Evening access to the area and open to a limited number of attendees. Fantastic event. DD and a friend rode Forbidden Journey multiple times. And all the rides were practically walk ons. If the powers that be are watching, can you say Diagon Alley?

It was the only time I saw WWoHP and the last time I stepped foot in Universal. Need to go back sometime but the only way I would visit Universal is if we stay on site. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe next year.

I'm so glad I have 2 months till we go, looks like a lot of bugs to work out, reports from this morning was most early entry guest didn't even get into London till 50 min past early entry time. Lots and lots of lines, 300+ wait times, that's why I usually only take trips during fall.

I am guessing the new area will be drawing crowds well into October, but I wish you luck that on your specific day no one is around.

Getting ready for the Argentina/Netherlands match. Still in shock over yesterday. Twenty minutes in I am like, what to do now? Spent part of the second half on the treadmill while every few minutes the Pirate Princess would shout out from the family room, "Another goal!"

SIL is half Dutch so she has crowed all through the World Cup about the great team from the Netherlands. Probably has not seen a second of any game. So in deference to her....

I am going to be looking at crowds to see how long this attendance wave lasts. I think it will be a while. One more dentist visit and then a break for a bit.

The trip is coming up sooner than I expected. I told Paul you were buying the beers so I imagine he will be there.

Is Sept 17 day your leaving? That's our arrival day.

Thank you, I'm hoping the fact that it's during the school year, before most fall breaks and during the weekdays, that hopefully the crowds are alittle better but we are basically doing 2 1/2 days at the parks so either way it'll be fun.

That's where we are staying, I upgraded the tickets to express pass and it still came out cheaper then the lowest deluxe.

I was speaking with a customer today who just returned from WDW. She said they did not really enjoy it because of waiting in line so much. She gave me the impression that you are only allowed your 3 fastpasses from the magic bands for the entire day. Is that correct?

Yes, there is no bidding war or travels on my free agency tour. Still, it did feel good.

I watched a replay of ANW last night. There was a dad and son trying to qualify. The dad went first, and on the warp wall, it sounded like a ligament or tendon popped. I saw the ambulance crew put him on the stretcher, but I never found out what it was. I'm afraid I would pop something climbing the stairs to start the run.

Yeah I saw that one... Looked pretty painful the biggest bummer is his son made it to the same spot and didn't get to go on either. Yeah I would love to try the obstacles but highly doubt I would make it very far.

I can't believe no one has proposed this yet. How about a DisDad Ninja Warrior at one of these DDCs. One of the obstacles would have to involve beer.

And just to add that once you get the 4th at the kiosk, then you are supposed to be able to go online and change it like you would the other FP+s. The kiosk doesn't have to be located near the actual ride. Overall, it is not a bad system. I do miss hoarding the FP legacy, but have to keep up with the changes.

Evening Dads. Doggone system at work now has the boards blocked for spyware warnings. Gonna have to get my IT guy to change this. Argentina and Germany should be good - if Argentina wins WC on Brazilian soil not sure the locals will be able to take it after the way they are handling the loss to Germany. Hawks sign both Toews and Kane to new 8 year contracts at $10.5 million per year each. Hawks are now the owners of the two highest paid players in the NHL. Have a good one guys.

This news made me smile almost 1/3 of the cap on 2 guys, hopefully it'll tie the Hawks hands for the next 8 years! Yes I know Preds have almost 10mil in Weber, but his cap hit goes down in a few years. With that said if there were 2 guys to put 21 mil a year on, Kane and Toews are damn good ones.

They made the changes recently. It used to be you had 3 FP+ for only one park.

As far as waiting in lines, I'm convinced with the proper planning, that can still largely be avoided. I did an interview with our local CBS affiliate about getting the most out of your WDW trip and this was my #1 point...to have a plan and be flexible. Clearly the rest of the population isn't as zealous as us, but it still amazes me when I see guests looking at a park map and it's for the first time.

Does that mean you would have to have everyone else's as well if everyone in your party was going to do the same ride? I guess the better strategy would be not to space out your first three to far apart through the day.

You can set up your MDE account to be able to set the FP+ for everyone your party. So you could get eh FP+ for whomever. My DDs are under my account and my DW has her own. But DW and I are setup so that we can get FP+ for all of us. It's actually really straight forward. You get to make FP+ selections 60 days out, so you'll have plenty of time to see how it all works.

I was able to run to get a drop shot yesterday. Not sure I am ready I could run for two in a row.

Sadly enough, I think I could retire now on 1/10 of that contract, or at least try.
