. It looks like we may try Opry Mills Mall on Thursday - Rainforest Cafe, DW spend a lot of $, and meet up with Philip.

Well Norm I'm hurt! Why am I last on the list? Out of that list I would def say I'm atleast better then DW spend alot of $ haha. I'm def up for a work day meetup

Welcome back Scott!!!:cool1:

Sorry to hear about the crods, but I'm assuming you enjoyed yourself just fine in spite of them! :thumbsup2

I've been a huge Disney fan all my life. As a kid, my dad would load us up in Memphis and head down to WDW once every three years or so. One year we went twice in less than 12 months. I thought I was the luckiest kid in the world that year. I remember to ABCDE tickets, River Country, the light parade on the water, staying in a trailer ("cabin") at Fort Wilderness, HoopDeDo, and watching Mary Poppins at the Contemporary for night time entertainment.

My wife and I went to WDW on our honeymoon 15 years ago and we've been back four times since. We have a family condo at Bonnet Creek and enjoy going there as often as our schedules permit with our three kids.

As the ID suggests, I'm a big UT Vols fan and am roughing it living in Bamaland.

Can I be a member of the fabulous club if I am still about 4 weeks away from being a dad to a son who will love Disney or move out at the age of 5?

Thank you!

Welcome aboard guys. :thumbsup2

Really bad storm over the house right now. Matches my mood.

Still beats the weather up here... ;)

I figured we'd miss you with the new plan but it has the kids only missing one week of school and we get really low crowds the whole time. Plus we will be there over our 10th anniversary.

It is cool to return on your anniversary. We managed to get champaign flutes from CRT with their ensignia on them.

The only reason you are last on the list is because I know that she will DEFINITELY spend too much money, but I wasn't sure if you would be able that day. I'll text once I know some details.

If I roughly know around what time, I can run it through my supervisor, he usually doesn't care and my work is 5 min from oprymills

Evening guys...spent the holiday Monday working, got paid 27 hours to spend 7/2 hours on a cash on a very slooooooooow day :thumbsup2 All proceeds go to the BTD Disney Fund.

Came home and stuffed myself with meatloaf. DW jazzed one up with Sarracha, chopped jalepenos and chilis :thumbsup2 Watching RAW now while unwinding.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. I just sat through a defensive driving course, which was basically 3 hours of "don't text while driving" repeated over and over.

It's a scary thing! My DW wife in an accident in January and the girl who hit her head on was looking down the whole time. Didn't know until it was too late. Thankfully both walked away but DW has been in going to physiotherapy and treatments for 2 months. I agree with the message but.....three hours seems a little excessive. Lol

Evening Guys,

Made it about 500 miles today, stopped in some place called Drums Pennsylvania. It will make for a longer drive tomorrow, about 750 miles; hopefully we will make it back tomorrow night. The going was bit slower today with having to get the brakes fixed and a ton of slow moving traffic until we got off the 95 south of Washington.

I talked to DW tonight and she says she has a plan for a July trip to WDW. Should I be scared?

Welcome. Dues are payable in Dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You get the deal. You don't have to wait 4 weeks - you are a dad now. Have any trips planned for the young en yet?

Indeed - looking at a trip in Jan 2014 when the little stinker will be about 8 months. Should be a good initiation.

I'm Baaacckkk!

In case you noticed....I'm back...if you didn't notice I was gone, just proceed on with your Monday. :rotfl2:

Quick Trip Report:

Weather at the beach - sucked. Cold Windy with a little rain. (thanks Brian :thumbsup2)

Spent a Day at MK - HOLY CROWDED! 11's on the crowd calendar. They were at a Phase 3 shutdown at MK the day we were there. Forced me to cancel my ADR at 'Ohana because I wouldn't be let back in if we left the park!

Had a Solo EPCOT Day - HOLY CROWDED!! Did a few things I've never done before...Explored Mexico Pavilion - Saw the Voices of Liberty and the American Adventure Show.....Saw O'Canada. - O Why?!? (darn you Brian) - Rode Journey into Imagination (it was the only ride that was a walk-on). Waited 20 minutes in line for Spaceship Earth! Saw the food booths - enjoyed the food from the food booths! :thumbsup2

I'd like to say it's glad to be back, but it isn't. Mondays suck!

Prayers to those that need them....Welcome! To all the new members.

Hey Scott, what day did you do EPCOT?

Driving or flying? Might need to look at that camper thing. CJ has a hook up ready for us in his front yard.

We went when my youngest was 15 months. She had fun, but was still scared of the characters. Certainly the way to start him off right.

We are back from the Gift Auction, we didn't win the Disney tickets or the Lobsters, spent a combined total of $140 (with Dis tickets, 50/50, Birthdayboard) so what did we win:confused3

- 4 tickets to Adventure Aquarium - $100
- 3 tickets for a tour of a Mine - $60
- 2 VIP tickets for Battleship NJ tour - $44
- 2 $25 GC to 2 different restaurants- $50
- 2 folding lawn chairs - ??
- 18 inch Charcoal grille - ??
- 6pk of Beach House Beer - $8
- A huge painting professionally framed and matted with COA - ??

All in all not a bad take, plus I think my son will really enjoy The Battleship & the Mine, since that is all boy stuff there:thumbsup2

Makes for a long day, but worth it to see a team like OKC. How was the game?

The game wasn't bad. The Bucks actually had a couple of good moments only to blow it in the end. They were actually up by 2 with 4 left to go. ended up down 10. The horses rear ends i sat next to didn't help enjoy the game any. Two drunk guys from Oklahoma. Loud, mouthy, drunk, I was about ready to knock the guy down by the end of the game, but I would like to be allowed into the Bradley Center in the future so I didn't.

anyways...

Turtles. "dad, what are those turtles doing?". Trying to escape.

Reminds me of the car commercial where the dad changes the subject and has the car play wheels on the bus.

Being that I don't carry a cell phone, it was definitely excessive for me!

For Barry:
What do you get when you cross an elephant with a rhino?

Elephino. :confused3 (say it out loud to get it)

That's a fun age to take them. Take full advantage of the rider switch on the "big kid" rides. :thumbsup2

Awesome seats. Looks like a fun night if not for the annoying drunk guys. :thumbsup2

Happy Tuesday Morning Guys!

Missed a couple of days so I'm off to catch up. Hope everyone has a good day.

My plan worked out splendidly... :rotfl2:

What's wrong with O Canada? I love that show... I am the guy in there that cheers loudly every time I see Joe Carter's home run...

Did you see Patrick in UK?

You mean Stewart in UK? No - I looked for him, but he must have been off that day.

Welcome back Scott!!!:cool1:

I'll take a crowded day at EPCOT over any day here at work!

Hey Scott, what day did you do EPCOT?

I was there on Wednesday 3/27.

Happy Tuesday Gents!

Someone needs a hug. Or some sunshine.

Seems counter-intuitive. If the brakes don't work, that means you get to go faster, because there is nothing to slow you down. Why bother getting them fixed?

I love it when a plan comes together.

8 months? Seems a bit...old...for a first trip to WDW, doesn't it?
Our daughter's first trip was when she was 7 weeks (but to be fair, we had the entire trip booked months in advance, then got notice that we were getting a newborn foster child. We arranged everything with the state to be able to take her with us. The adoption was finalized a few months after that). Our older son had to wait until his first birthday for his first trip - a mistake we didn't make with our youngest, who had 3 trips in before he turned 1.

So DW gets home last night from picking up DD from theater class. She comes in the house, makes sure the kids aren't looking, slugs me in the shoulder and says "I blame you." Immediately, my mind begins racing through all of the things that she might have found out, but I can't think of any that are bad. I ask what I did, and she says my daughter is now quoting lines from the Jungle Cruise. As they pull into the driveway, my wife stops at the side door to the house and tells DD to get out. DD says "That was rude. Please get out."
