The number one thousand. It is the first integer in the American English language to include the letter "A." The Proclaimers said that they would walk that many miles just to be the man who walks with you. It is also less than the number of days between my last WDW visit and my next (won't be till January of '14).

I never thought I'd stick with an online board long enough to post a thousand posts (even though, if you look at my stats, the majority...let's say about 75%...of them have been in the past two months or so).

I love having this place to go to, whether to rant, to rave, to waste time, to find others with the same mindset, to make fun of those with different mindsets. Basically, I love this community.

I can't finish this post without mentioning the person who pointed me to it, TurkeyLurkey, my older, and wiser (if I left that part out, I probably never would have heard the end of it), brother. I remember, when I was planning my honeymoon and was considering WDW, he showed me the Way of the DIS. It wasn't until after our honeymoon that I discovered the DISDads. I have learned more ways to cook bacon, to trick "friends" and/or family with Beverly, and overall, just enjoy life thanks to you guys.

Here's to a thousand more! (Which, at my current rate, maybe be in less than three months)

I offered a competition a few threads back. I grew mine out to be Capt Jack.

Also, I heard a rumor that Fed can defeat a brick wall at tennis.

Fed is the equivalent Dis Chuck Norris. We only post here because he allows it.

She doesn't like Soarin' - she says "It freaks her out"..

My DW tried Soarin won't go back on it.

Just catching up from the past few days. Excuse me for bringing up some old posts to comment on...

An open letter....to my senior friends up north.

The left lane of I 95 in Florida is known as the Hammer Lane.

If you are going to drive less than the posted speed limit, please do so from the center, or more preferably, the right hand lanes.

The slow rolling road blocks where three of you drive 5 to 10 miles an hour under the speed limit while occupying all three lanes is getting old.

Also getting old are the dirty looks you give me when I fly up on your bumper at 80 mph and remain inches from it as I activate all my emergency lights and sirens.

My next letter will discuss proper acceleration speeds while pulling out into traffic. Waiting until I am less than 100 yards from you, and travelling at 55 mph, and then pulling out at a blazing 25 mph, is going to draw a negative reaction from me.

Anyone who must travel I 95 on a regular basis.

I would also like to add, If you are traveling at night with oncoming traffic and the little blue light on the dash is on. Please pull the stick on the left of the steering wheel back towards you. If you are unable to do that, pull the same stick up and get the heck off the road.

Oh, and if it is not foggy outside, you do not need to have the fog lights on.

going back to get caught up since yesterday afternoon, but wanted to share some potentially good news first.

I may have found a job!! Waiting now for a phone call to arrange specifics. Could be working as soon as tonight or tomorrow. It fits my SAHD schedule almost perfectly, as it's 6:30-10:30pm.

Always a good feeling when you can put a ticker in your signature.

Congrats! Now if I can just figure out how to get one of them tickers in my signature.

That looks like a lot of extra metal, meaning extra weight, on what appears to be a Ram. I'd give the transmission about 5,000 miles.

Well, it could be light-weight carbon fiber. In which case you'll probably get 6,500 miles out of that tranny.

That's why I said retrofitting **MY** truck...which is not a Ram. It's a Toytota Tundra
