congrats stopher and good luck!! :thumbsup2 explaining to a newbie , where to start? :confused3 :lmao: i always like watching the look on there face. :lmao:

Oh yeah - there were some great looks tonight. I started off with the video - just your basic planning video - and there were tears streaming down a couple of the faces as they watched. The brochures, maps, discussion - oh yeah... I pretty much had them at "hello." It was awesome.

And they wanted it all - and then some. Even sold them on the new Exotic Driving Experience, that the wife wants to do even moreso than the husband. They were pretty much drooling over all kinds of stuff. But the kicker was - when they were leaving, the wife was already starting to talk about the next time... when they go back, and how they'll be keeping a list of things to do again the next year.

Christopher, good luck today! (stipulate we're all counting on you). That family is lucky to have you as a resource!

Ahh, thanks. :)

Good luck:thumbsup2

Probably the biggest understatement ever made on the boards.

You too, thanks!

It's a concierge travel service. That's a cool idea. I've never worked a job where I could have client meetings at Panera or Starbucks or something like that, but wish I could.

Yep, pretty much. If they're in my metro area, I'll meet with them in person. Did that every day this week regarding multiple cruises, Disney trips, a river cruise, even a safari in Africa (the real one, not the Disney-fied one down south).

I've done client meetings at restaurants for years. It's always been great - except for many of the smaller town meetings where you just never quite know what you're going to get. I prefer to go with national or regional brands for consistency of product, or at least a semblance of consistency - but many small town folk love their mom & pop stuff. So far everyone has asked me where I would like to meet, and I like that. It's the "let's meet at ..." crowd that gets me a bit leery at times.

Oh and it was pretty cool this morning too - driving home from church. I got a call from someone responding to the magnet sign on my car. Score. Set up a meeting with them after I get back from HI & CA to talk river cruising in China. Just put the signs on yesterday and today they at least got me noticed in a good way.

That looks good. Want some now.

i was there during huricane wilma. wilma was a cat 3. they closed the mk at 10pm till further notice. the mk reopened the following day at noon.
there were some trees down along the way to the mk but as far as the mk, there wasnt a leaf, twig, piece of dirt nothing. i have it on video, we were at okw. we went to check in a few days before it hit. i asked the cm if we could still check in. she said yes,why not. i said, did you hear, theres a cat 3 hurricane coming. she smiled and asked me where i was from. she said she was from mass. and a cat 3 is like us getting 4 inches of snow.
i will say this, the hurricane hit in the middle of the night, tammy and i had the radar on tv and the you did not hear a thing outside. if you looked out the windows, the palm trees were bending in half. the rain was coming down side ways and coming dowm hard. it was something to see.

I've heard cm to say that WDW was the safest place to be in a hurricane, but thought they were just saying that as part of the job duties. Glad to know.

If I ever had to evacuate from Miami because of a hurricane, I am heading to WDW. Building codes are way better than most cities and the infrastructure is the best. And my house was built in 1930 and is built as strong as a concrete bunker.

Time for bed. Prayers the weather will safely pass over us and everyone else tonite.

Keep safe dude.

OK, now what do I do for the Super Bowl. Hate the Pats, Hate the Giants. Maybe just watch the commercials.

Oops, probably not going to be able to watch it after all. Just realized, I will be diving in Roatan that week. Woo Hoo!

Cundiff went wide left.

just think that needs to be repeated.;)

Andriana told me you were a shady person after she met you at the Half. I didn't think so until I found out you were a Pats fan.

So how did the party go? Is the pink gone?

Belichick is great. Who wants a coach that give the opposition bulletin board material? How'd that work out for rex? :confused3

Terrible. Rex is a loud-mouthed punk.

Belichick is great, but I think having Tom Brady as his QB helps an awful lot. :cool1:
