Who's got an iPhone?

How long does your battery last?
What apps do you recommend? (the free'er the better :rotfl2: )

I HIGHLY recommend the energizer battery case for the iPhone. You can find them for around 20 bucks or so and are well worth it!!!

I can get two days between charges with alot of use

::yes:: Subscription needed

Undercover tourist has one though that will still give you wait times...I believe it's free as well.

The other one we use (my wife and I) is OurGroceries. It allows us to keep our grocery list in sync and at any given time always know what is needed. So we both have the app and can update our list as we need things.

Kinda nice.

I think its GroceryPal or something like that. We LIVE by that one now!

They tried to give it away. Good to see someone in Canada with incredible intelligence in college basketball teams.

I didn't see the game just got the update later on. I had a board meeting all day.

I have been a Kentucky fan since I started watching US college ball and I married another Kentucky fan.

Apparently it's Night of the Living JoePa....

It was announced earlier that he was near death, then that he died.

Now he's alive again.

Don't know what to think.

And you let her win? But, if you get a big screen tv and kegerator for the basement, then I guess you win.

Well since we were not going to WDW i put my foot down and insisted that we go to Rainforest Cafe for dinner. I had the tribal Salmon and it was awesome. We get home and we start getting dd ready for bed and she projectile vomits all over margie and the kitchen floor. No hint that she even was feeling bad. She has a fever but after she threw up she started running around again. :confused3 She never complains when she is sick, what a trooper.

Saying dumb stuff while sober. Sounds familiar, so very familiar. :upsidedow

Let me know if I ever say anything smart. It will be a first!:lmao:

How to make chicken fried bacon.

Step 1 Ingredients That You Will Need
Ingredients-That-You-Will-Need.jpg

The ingredients are pretty simple. You will need the bacon, of course, some oil of your choosing, white flour, bread crumbs, eggs and whatever spice mix that you prefer, I like Lawry's

Step 2 Setting Up The Coating Mix
Setting-Up-The-Coating-Mix.jpg

You will need three shallow bowls, lined up in a row, and a seperate plate to put the coated, raw bacon. The first bowl has the flour, at this time mix in a teaspoon or two of the spice and mix it in well with a fork. In the second bowl, crack two or three eggs and beat them well. The number of eggs that you will use depends on how much bacon that you are going to fry up. The third bowl has the bread crumbs.

During this time, you will add approximately two inches of oil to a medium sized frying pan and heat it on the stove top. SAFTEY TIP- turn the handle of the frying pan to the inside of the stove top so that you don't accidentally tip over the pan and spill the hot oil. You can seriously burn yourself!!

Step 3 Dredging The Bacon In Flour
Dredging-The-Bacon-In-Flour.jpg

Take a strip of bacon and liberally coat in flour, ensuring that the entire piece is coated.

Step 4 Dipping The Bacon In Egg
Dipping-The-Bacon-In-Egg.jpg

The next step is to dip the bacon into the egg batter. Egg batter sometimes doesn't want to co-operate and will not cover the bacon in some places. It is important to ensure that the bacon is totally covered in egg.

Step 5 The Breadcrumb Coating
The-Breadcrumb-Coating.jpg

This is the final step of the coating process. Put the bacon onto the breadcrumbs and pat them down onto the bacon. Lift out the bacon strip with your fingers and give it a little shake to release any breadcrumbs that have not adhered properly.

Step 6 Raw And Ready To Go
Raw-And-Ready-To-Go.jpg

After coating each piece of bacon, you can place it onto the plate that you have next to your "coating assembly line" It is better to wait until all the pieces that you want to cook are ready to fry instead of frantically trying to make new pieces while watching the bacon cook at the same time.

Step 7 Frying the Bacon
Frying-the-Bacon.jpg

Now here comes the fun part! If you have a thermometer, the oil will be ready to use at 375 degrees. If you don't have one, sprinkle a litte flour into the oil. If it starts to fry, the oil is ready to use. With a pair of kitchen tongs, NOT your fingers, drop in two or three pieces of bacon into the oil. If you overload the pan, the oil temperature will plummet and the oil will not be hot enough to fry. After about 30 seconds, flip the bacon strips over so that the other side gets cooked. The cooking process happens really quickly, about one to 1 1/2 minutes. You will know when the bacon is done when both sides of the coating turn a golden brown. Remove the bacon and place on a plate covered with a few paper towels.

Step 8 Removing Excess Oil
Removing-Excess-Oil.jpg

Once you are done all the cooking, place another paper towel ontop of the bacon and gently pat out any excess oil. With this recipe this sounds a little counter intuative, but it will make for a better eating experience.

Step 9 The Finished Product

Now admire your artery clogging, heart stopping culinary efforts! A creamy ranch dressing makes a great dip!

I am glad my daughter can't throw a snowball very well yet!

We just had a great time in the snow with DD. The snow was a little fluffy so not good for snowballs or snowmen but she helped  me shovel. I burried her in the snow which she pretended was a race car. She did not want to come in but I got her up early ever day this week and I new she needed to take a long nap. She fell asleep in less than 3 minutes.

:thumbsup2 That's awesome! I love her face in this one.

Hello to all. Those of you who have seen my few FaceBook updates know this already. We are still around and surviving some of the worst weather in a long time in the Greater Puget Sound. We lost cable and internet (and phone service since I bundled it with Comcast) Thursday morning. Well Comcast had it back last night, but we lost power this morning around 4:00 AM. PSE is saying at one time 300000 were without power but now that is down to 180000. We might not get power back until Tuesday, even though the houses next to us (a new subdivision) got power back this afternoon. Since the girls have been out of school all of last week, I want power back so they can go to school.

Right now we are at Barnes & Noble using their free wifi.

I will update as I can. I will not even try to read what I have missed.

Wish me luck.

BTW, since I worked at REI for 26 years we are in good shape for camping equipment and if our beds get too cold we all have 20 degree or better sleeping bags
