I'd say that's probably true, but I also think that if you want to be sure you get a room with queen beds, you're better off either requesting a room with queens or just requesting the Mansions (since they all have queens). You never know when the capacity shuffle will result in your being assigned an Alligator Bayou room, because that's what's there when you're checking in. Heck, a room assigner might even think that they're doing your a favor, since the rooms are slightly larger. I always figure it's better to ask for what you want up front.
I completely agree about trying to reserve a Mansion room or requesting queen size beds. I think that's always a good idea. I was just trying to say that because the rooms with trundles are in demand it should be easy to get a queen size bed in that resort once all the rooms are remodeled.

19 minute wait for The Great Movie Ride!
21 minutes for Living With the Land?!? :scared1:
Yikes. We have some close family friends that are doing their first trip this week. We've been monitoring "lines" all week. There was a 72 minute wait for Small World last night.:eek:

Sounds like WDW is crazy this week. I've heard week before Christmas is better, and I keep trying to talk SWTSMBO DW into it. We'll see.

DW also had banned me from Lego Star Wars. She said that since I won the game (completed all levels) then I should stopped. I tried to explain that I still had locked characters. She doesn't get it, and I will sneak on later.

DW reminded me that we were invited to New Year's Eve wedding with open bar. Gonna party like its 1999.

Wow - all 4 WDW parks closed today because of reaching capacity!!! :scared1:

Touring Plans just tweeted to say that they were all open again.

WOW! Epcot almost never reaches capacity. Animal Kingdom is pretty rare too.

Great video Brian! Thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

Glad you liked...

Your children are adorable! Clearly take after their mom. Thanks for sharing!

No doubt...

Very cool. I’ll have to go back and watch it more closely once I get home (I can't turn the sound on here).

Thanks for watching...

Great video Brian!!! Now, do the candle colors have a meaning and how they are placed? I know nothing about Hanukkah other than you light candles.

The colors have no significance. But the placement does.
There are 8 nights, so you light one candle (plus the head candle) the first night - and then add one each additional night.

Brian.....I somehow missed your original post about switching your ADRs to a fmaily who was not able to get into CP , but saw it on a quoted response....that was an awesome idea tohave at that minute. You spread pixie dust and Disney magic right there for that family without even trying!!! That is the DisDad type thing to do :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (not a finger) :rotfl2:

Thanks. I coulda' just walked up and cancelled, but I knew I'd feel better knowing it didn't go unused.
I like doing little things like that. In fact today... I did something very similar. We went to see Disney on Ice - it was at the Roger's Centre in downtown Toronto. We took the subway. I usually by a family day pass, it's cheaper then buying the regular fare. After I got off of our return trip, I gave the pass to a family about to go through the turnstile. :thumbsup2

OWNED!

Went to Disney on Ice today.

Took a bunch of pics - most of them are blurry - those dang charactersd won't stay still and pose.

It was the BEST Disney On Ice I've been to. We have been to 4 in the last 3 years.

The show was 100 Years of Magic, and not only did they include Disney Stories, but they did a little piece on the Happiest Place on Earth. The set turned into It's A Small World and then floats came out to the Main Street Electrical Parade Song.

I will sift through the pics, and post some soon.

Woke up to a cold yesterday:sick:First time I've been sick in over a year.:sick:Stayed home with the wife and boys:goodvibesBack to work today though:rolleyes:

DW surprises me with the news that there is a sleepover tomorrow. 6 girls under age 10 in the house. My first thought was to go to the liquor store, but perhaps I need to go stay somewhere else. Too bad WDW is such a drive ....

Just put on a couple of movies, make popcorn - and stay out of their hair, all will be fine. :thumbsup2

I plan on hiding in our upstairs bonus room. We took down all the Christmas decorations today, so the bonus room holds the Disney city - monorail, Cinderella castle, Aurora castle, CR, and Epcot ball. I'll stare at the city and dream, while I cringe in the corner from all the giggles. I coach these girls in soccer and in basketball and that's no big deal. But having 6 inside the house at once, :scared1:  :scared1:  :scared1:

Stay out of their hair?? But he was planning to french braid theri hair!!!:rotfl2:

I have learned how to pull their hair back into pony tail, but that is the extent of my hairstyling talents.

A Bonus room? Like a room in the house, that wasn't part of the original deal? BONUS!

Never heard of the term Bonus Room before...

But if it includes half of Disney World, I'll take that bonus any day.

The builder told me it was called a bonus room because it only has a half size window. I don't know if that is true. It also does not have a door or closet. It is an add shaped room, maybe 14 X 10 above the garage, but there is another smaller extension, maybe 6 X 6 where I keep my desktop, desk, and file cabine, and then there is an entrance off the staircase. I'd get my butt off the couch and get the plans out, or go an get a tape measure, but that would just mean way too much effort.

I will take your word for it... :thumbsup2

The only thing bonus about my house, is every once in a while I get to make a bonus mortgage payment. :rotfl2:

With the coming of the New Year, I will again be turning another year older. The question I have for this august assemblage is: Since the daughters are old enough to be alone for awhile and will neither harm each other or destroy the house, should I have dinner with my lovely bride of 27 years alone, or should we dine with our beloved offspring?

That does not sounds like much of a bonus, but it actually may be in the long run. I read where people talk about their nice 3 BR 2 BA starter home, and to me, that is not a starter home, that is my home - 3 BR, 2 BA, plus "bonus room" and garage. I don't want to move into a bigger home, and look forward to downsizing to something smaller once the dds are gone to school.

We bought our starter house in 2000, in the middle of the big housing boom and sub-prime lending. I fell for a sucker "great deal no money down" mortgage. Luckily, I realized my idiocy and re-financed in 2005 before the bubble burst, put a good deposit down, and set the loan term for 15 years. The good news is that our house will be paid off in 10 more years. The bad news is that it is in KY and not in WDW. But, maybe the market will be back by then, I can sell it, and move.
