Hi, everyone. The damage is VERY bad and quite extensive. 28 people hurt, some buildings have collapsed, all of downtown Atlanta is closed, they are playing the rest of the SEC basketball tournament at Georgia Tech with no fans. We are supposed to get another round of very severe weather early this afternoon with more tornadoes. It is very eerie to watch. We had tickets to the game last night but didn't go.

Hello, DDA!

It's been a very strange week. I have started to post several times, but I keep erasing it. The short story is that my co-teacher's father died as the result of a work accident. I am taking it much harder than I think I should be. He was only 58 years old.

I am getting ready to head out to Albany with dd for the weekend for a synchronized swim meet. The "boys" will be on their own.

I have been reading along and thinking of the  and :yay: and pixiedust: along the way.

I made a couple of designs yesterday which helped keep me distracted.

"See" you all Monday. Have a great weekend, DDA!

 for you, Beth. I hope the weekend in Albany helps make you feel a little better. How sad for her family. :sad1:

Beth - How sad! I know you posted that he had multiple broken bones but it didn't sound life threatening! Good thoughts for your co-teacher, and for you!

Elin - Your post about flights reminded me that I hadn't looked at ours lately. I check pricing for DH's flight home every day because it isn't booked yet, but I hadn't looked at the part that IS booked. Surprise! They backed up our departure by half an hour!:scared1: Now we are leaving at 6:05 AM.
And of course they screwed up our seats!:headache: Instead of row 12 now we have row 15, because that was as close to the front as I could get and still have all 3 of us sitting together. Since the ressies are all separate they don't recognize us as traveling together. What a pain! The flight numbers have also changed, so I will have to make sure all of the ME ressies are updated. But I will wait to do that because it could all change again!:rolleyes1

It's contagious then! I can't wait to get outside for a walk this morning!! :goodvibes

I get that winter depression. I've been finding it hard to get up and go to work (I get up a 4am). Well, today I heard the birds singing!! :cheer2: I feel like a whole new person. But it's supposed to still be chilly and rainy all weekend. I hope not!

Kristine!!!

I am telling you Elizabeth...this June trip is taking on a life of it's own!

Good Morning DDA,

Denise - I'm glad you're ok, I can't imagine how frightening it was for all the people caught there in the storm. We've been through a few hurricanes, and the sounds can be quite unnerving, and we had the chance to prepare. When Elana hit in 1985 we were at the inlaws and the storm took off part of the roof, not fun!

Kristine - so good to see you again, I was just thinking earlier of all the folks that we don't see much anymore.

Elin - Congrats on an earlier flight! I'm sure our November flight will change several times before then.

it seems like once we changed the October cruise (for timing reasons) to June...that it just keeps getting longer & longer. With the crazy airfare, we have now extended it 5 days...so we are gone 21 days:eek: 10 in in AKV concierge, 1 in Port Canavrel, 3 on the cruise and now 7 at BWV. I have never gone on such a long trip before

:rotfl2: What have you added on now?
