It's for her and Gary. All because he made breakfast for dinner for her last night. :teeth:

:lmao: Best reason I've ever heard of for a trip!:rotfl:

I hope Elise feels better soon!!

Jennifer, glad you're ok! I totaled my aunt's car when I was 16 by hitting a deer.

Elizabeth, I hope the other kid is on his best behavior and you don't have to wait long! :goodvibes

Stephanie is staying home again today. The fever seems to be gone, but she's still totally stuffed up. I may take her with me to work for a couple hours. She can play on the computer and watch movies on my laptop.

Jennifer - Hope Elise is better today!

Debbie - Cute announcement! Enjoy your last bit of vacation!!

Janet - Wow! Yay for a trip!!

Lindsay - I am glad your meds are helping you feel better!
DS is quirky for sure, so that could be part of his issue. The thing is, last year he HATED tan pants and would ONLY wear navy. So before school started this year I bought a few pairs of navy. I told him in no uncertain terms he WILL be wearing the navy pants next week. We will NOT be washing pants midweek because he doesn't like the color. They are identical in style.
The other mom is recently divorced and isn't very good at prioritizing and juggling yet. That's why I hate to get started doing favors for her, because it will get out of hand.

DH just called to inform me he is eating breakfast at a very nice TS place. Not sure why he felt that was necessary, but he certainly managed to make me even more angry/agitated than I already was! :furious:

Is this day over yet?

Thank you ALL for the prayers and well-wishes (for both Elise and Me! :)) At the moment, she's content. I love the first hour of Tylenol, when she's almost human again

We have a follow-up appointment at 1pm because she was working so hard yesterday in the office. If she's the same or better, we'll just go from here. If she's worse, or we can't keep the fevers down, they'll consider IV antibiotics (hospital admission). I'll let you know.

Make it a great day!

:wizard: that she is doing better. and No Hospitals

Janet,
Yay for the trip!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Debbie,
Glad Aubrey is coming home!

Elizabeth,
Sorry you have to deal with all that.

Kelli,
More :wizard: for Stephanie.

Chanon,
Your trip sounds like fun.

Tammi,
More:wizard: for your Bob. Have a great time at GWL!

Jennifer,
Good luck at the Dr's today.

Jennifer (bear),
OMG, thank goodness you were not hurt. When we drive to NC I am pertrified of hitting a deer as they are all over the place. We don't have deer in the streets here so I am totally not used to looking for them.

Chanon is wonderful!!

In less than 2 weeks?? You spur of the moment girl!!:cool1: :cool1:

I am so excited!

Wow, talk about a spur of the moment trip! Congrats! But why isn't that in August? :snooty:

That one may still happen ;)

It's for her and Gary. All because he made breakfast for dinner for her last night. :teeth:

You are funny

Oh my goodness - how wonderful that your trip is back on! So, it looks like you're leaving very soon! Are these your same March dates? More importantly, did you keep your original ADRs????

WTG Chanon! :goodvibes

Yes these are the same dates & I still have our ADR's :yay:

Janet congratulations on your impromptu trip. It sounds like fun, but you'd better get packing.:goodvibes

I know! I need to check out the weather forecast to see what I need.

:lmao: Best reason I've ever heard of for a trip!:rotfl:

Guess he should cook more often :rotfl:

Janet - Wow! Yay for a trip!!

Thanks Elizabeth & just so you know, we are thinking of only taking carry ons :scared1: :rotfl:

We have a busy day ahead of us. I'm taking the boys bowling at 2 followed by a quick trip to the vet then off to my class. The whole weekend will be busy. I also suspect that I won't be able to check in very often starting next week. I'm pretty sure that 2 jobs are going to eat into my free time :scared:

Hope not, we will miss you :goodvibes

I am sooooo furious this morning. It all started when I was getting ready for work and was listening to the Early Show in the background. They had an organization on there called Angels in Waiting, who made an offer to Octomom to provide her with a house and around the clock medical care for ALL of her 14 children, cost-free. This will cost the organization $130,000 a month and they are hoping to get donations from the public.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/02/20/earlyshow/main4815110.shtml

I could have just screamed. Here's a woman that has thought about nothing other than herself. Not about the health of her children or what kind and how she would provide a life for them. Then there is the doctor that aided in this. Why are these 2 people not held accountable for their actions.

After that this whole foreclosure crap got on my nerves, about how the govt. is going to make it easy for people who are facing foreclosure to revamp their loans.

Then to top it off my kids have a father that expects that he should get our children for holidays because he is entitled to them, like they are trophies on a shelf that he can take down and play with whenever he wants, and put them away when he is finished.

I am so sick and &^%$^&( tired of people getting hand-outs because they are "entitled" to them. People get themselves into situations and want the rest of the country to 'rescue' them.

Where is my rescuing? My handout? My piece of the pie? I have to work like crazy and sacrifice so I can provide a decent life for myself and my kids. Why do some people think that this doesn't apply to them????

I'm sorry if this upsets or offends anyone. I guess the reason that all of this stuff bothers me is because it sits so close to home for me. Sorry, but I am over the top infuriated by all of this.

Hopefully by Monday she will be good to go :wizard:

Tammi - I hear ya'. I was in a big old snarky snit to begin with, but you are right - it gets VERY OLD hearing how the most irresponsible people are being given the most freebies!
Octomom should have her children taken away, not be rewarded for being a freak show. :sad2: Well, maybe that foundation will rethink their offer when they don't have any donations coming in!
Sorry your XH is a horse's behind.

HOORAY!!! :yay: I'm so happy for you!

None taken! This is why I don't pay attention to most "news". I'm sure they thought this was a happy human interest story, and it infuriates me as well. The families that I used to take care of would eat better on food stamps than I could ever afford, and drive off from the center in their escalades... all while popping out baby after baby that they refused to take care of. The "handout" situation in this country is out of control, and I fear it's just going to get worse...

Rant away!

Jennifer - That's one of the reasons I am glad I didn't go into case management at the AIDS agency. One of the case managers was telling me that people come in with their hair and their nails, yapping on their cell phones, whining that they can't afford their meds and can't pay the electric bill. And if you suggested any sort of lifestyle alterations they would get all pissy. If they qualify for assistance they take it, and no matter how much they get, there are always the ones who want more because they "deserve" it.
