My child is going to drive me to drink. He REFUSES to wear black or navy pants. So he was up at 6:30, running the dryer because had convinced DH to do laundry last night so he would have TAN pants to wear. I have HAD IT with the tan pants thing. There is absolutely no reason to do laundry mid-week. NONE.
I am also very cranky about the band competition tomorrow. The mom of the annoying kid from the birthday party e-mailed me asking if we would take her kid to the competition. I was going to say no and be done with it, but I asked her what time he was competing. She says he WAS supposed to compete at 11 AM, but she asked the band director to switch his time to something closer to 1:30 (DS's time) so her kid can ride with us. EXCUSE ME? DH talked to the band director about it, and we are all very shocked at the way she went about it. Yet DH says we'll go ahead and take the kid. Great. Now we'll have to wait for them to "work him in". Ever been "worked in" anywhere? It takes HOURS. And this kid will NOT behave for hours.
That's the part that makes me angry. We will have to wait for this kid, and he will annoy me while we are waiting. I have to work Saturday evening, so I was hoping to get in and get out of the competition QUICKLY. My other fear is that this will become a habit, where the mom will pawn her kid off on us whenever she can.
This is not a good start for my Friday!
Hope everybody else's day is off to a good start!
