Ate breakfast at the Beach Blanket as we wanted to head onto Castaway Cay nice & early which we did to grey skies, howling gale, rain & thunder!!! Decorations were good, but the poor weather obviously deterred the ships photographers as there were none to be seen. To be honest I was quite relieved as I saw their work later that night in Shutters & all the photos of families next to the Wonder contained 3 JCBs in the foreground. Im no professional, but I think composition needed working on!
Oceaneers had moved under cover & were doing arts & crafts waiting for a break in the weather. The sun did briefly make an appearance & we hit the hammocks for a nice relax & book reading. Ate lunch at Cookies bbq DH went for the regular burger & I opted for the lobster burger. My only criticism was that for the lobster I could only find plain buns & wanted all the salad, gerkins etc. so nicked them from DH instead! Collected DD from the kids club at about 2pm so she could have an hour splashing in Mickeys pool. It was obviously at this time that most people who had ventured off the ship had decided enough was enough & were heading back as we queued for a good 20 minutes to get back on board.
After an hour in the pool we packed DD off to the club to prepare for the celebrate the journey show whilst we packed & attended the disembarkation talk. Whilst I realise it is necessary, it was like pulling teeth, especially when you are told how to find your rental car and to take your luggage with you! Had arrived very early & remained in our front row seats for the show. There couldnt have been a dry eye in the house as close to a thousand children in mickey ear mortarboards and Disney Sea University t-shirts piled onto the stage to view their yearbook and sing with Mickey & Minnie.
Last evening meal was at animators palate & it was time to bid farewell to our dinner companions and servers. As always the food was excellent Caeser salad followed by maple glazed Salmon, and DD was fascinated by the continually changing walls and animation. After dinner DD traded the last of her pins before heading back to the kids club with a gift for Shawn (Australian counsellor who did magic tricks and DD fell in love with). We headed off to the Disney Dreams show and half way through the bleeper went. DH left and returned a short while later with DD who had had a nosebleed so remained with us and watched the end of the show with matchsticks propping open her eyelids!
This was certainly the roughest night on board with 4-8m waves, but none of us suffered, but we did remove the hangers from the cupboards to stop their clattering! Dragged our suitcase into the hall to be taken during the night & turned in early as we were required at wavebands for immigration at 0600hrs!
