Hello again fellow 11/11er! Can you believe only 102 days til our weddings???

I've been busy as all get out and haven't been on much recently, so it was nice to relax with a cup of coffee and peruse all your updates!!!

We FINALLY got our planning session & menu tasting scheduled for this coming Thursday. I'm sooooooo beyond excited!

Your updates on the prices and stuff you done are a HUGE help! I have an idea of what some of the things are that I want now. Makes it easier going into it when you need to stay within a budget.

The one flaw in Disney's way of planning- that you have to go into everything except the menus pretty much blind.

It would make life a lot easier if I had some idea what specific items cost BEFORE the planning session. Like florals (how much more is it to have a peony bouquet or centerpiece than a tulip?), or even simple decor items (would it be so hard to have a list of pricing on the vases & candles?). Since a Bride only gets one Planning Session, wouldn't it make the meeting more conducive to time when you go in with a clear idea of cost & vision?

Excuse my little rant. It's my only gripe, I promise!
You look absolutely
radiant in your pics. What a cute couple! I LOVE your cake. Gorgeous! It's actually quite similar to mine. In fact, a lot of our stuff is quite similar lol. Same date, same themed engagement pics (kind of, I'm doing a Snow White type thing too), same style cake, heck- we even look a little alike!

I guess great minds do think alike! Anyway, can't wait to read more!
Duh, totally forgot. the Welcome Bags. I'll be putting in a snack (for the people that are starved when they get off the plane// out of the car after the long trip), maybe a few Oranges since it's something Florida's known for, and super cheap too; bottled water with a personalized label (super easy to make); gum/breath mints/listerine strips; a map of Disney; brochures (free at Disney, I'm sure your Resort/ Planner can give you a few things to fill it with at no charge) & a 'Things To Know' Sheet: it includes an itinerary, favorite restaurants that we recommend, a printout of directions to important places from Google Maps (in case they don't get internet access), and most importantly- a list of contact info (cellphones, room #'s, etc) for designated people to keep in contact with guests for emergencies or last minute questions (we'll have lists specific to each side of the family or group of friends so one person isn't getting calls from 100 different people all weekend). Another must have in ours- A Hangover Kit, also called 'It's been a Long Day Kit' or 'The Morning After Kit' which includes small packets of ibuprofen, Tums, and (if money allows) a mini bottle/can of Gatorade or Ginger Ale. For families with kids we'll also include a coloring book, crayons, candy, Capri-Suns (super inexpensive, and better than sodas from the vending machines), and I'm gonna hit the Dollar Store which has all kinds of Disney goodies for, well, a dollar. I have a million ideas; let me know if you need more. Eventually I'll get around to putting it all in my own Journal lol!
