Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

Moya Lara :: Exquisite Wedding Invitations

I contemplated designing my own invitations, but I decided that adding on all that extra stress just wasn't worth it. So I took what feedback I had already read from Disboards and decided to send and inquiry email to Larisa of Moya Lara :: Exquisite Wedding Invitations in Mid-November 2010. She got back to me promptly and sent me a questionnaire to gather what we were looking for in a design. :thumbsup2

Now don't get me wrong, I am so happy with my invitations and working with Larisa was worth it, I just think a lot of our communication got lost in the process. We talked solely by email, and with the busy rush in our own lives, we didn't always hear back from each other right away. In fact, months went by in between our emails.

So, I got our invitation preview at the end of January 2011. She was very supportive with me wanting to tweak anything in the design and was wonderful in offering suggestions. We placed the deposit to move forward in February 2011, got the final preview in June 2011 (note the time gap...!), placed the order and then finally received our invitations June 29th, 2011. :yay:

Overall, I'm VERY pleased with my invitations! :lovestruc I would use Larisa over again in a heartbeat...I just wanted to express my concerns with the process. If you plan to use this vendor, just be wary of the timeline. I'd say if you are a year out from your wedding date, you are safe. However, any less and you might be pushing it...

My wonderful invitations by Larisa!!!:

Cost: The deposit was $175.00 and then from there we had the 3 previews before we finally placed our order. The invitations were priced at $9.00 each and we ended up ordering 64 invitations. The deposit money went towards our final payment which ended up right around $400.00 total.

Grade: A-
I highly recommend Moya Lara :: Exquisite Wedding Invitations. The work is incredible and beautiful in person, however, the slower-than-desired process is why I'm giving a less than perfect grade.

I agree with you...as you saw on my PJ....I had to wait a long time to get my preview but the final product was soooo worth it. Would just be nice to get an update every once in a while. Glad to know it's not just me lol

The invites look fantastic! I also love your guest book, it's so perfect and has that disney magic :)

I'm looking up ideas for my welcome bags and I just saw that we have the same bags! What do you have planned for your bags?!

BEAUTIFUL invites!!!!

Thanks, Kristi! :goodvibes

I know! As soon as I read your PJ and saw you were having the same time troubles, I knew I had to do a good vendor review! :) You are right though, the final products are so worth the wait!

Wow! That's good to know! Thanks!

You're very welcome! :)

I'm looking up ideas for my welcome bags and I just saw that we have the same bags! What do you have planned for your bags?!

Neat! I love those bags! However, I still don't really know what I'm going to do. (Better work on that!) I have folders and I've started to construct the important info, but I don't know what sorts of little things to include. What are your plans?

I just got caught up in your PJ and I LOVE your guestbook & your invitations!!!!!!

So, I woke up tossing around different gift ideas for our flower girls and ring bearer today. At first, I was just going to do a Disney-themed toy of some sort, but in all honesty, these kids have so many toys:lmao:...so that was out. Then I started thinking how these kids are going to be in Disney World and going to be involved in so many adult get-togethers over our wedding weekend, that I had to plan something FUN for them. :goodvibes So I started to scour the web for some information on (relatively inexpensive ) things to do at Disney.

For our ring bearer (age 7) - We got him a gift card for the Lego Imagination Center! I'm pretty sure he's going to have a blast going to Downtown Disney and seeing those new Lego sculptures!

For our flower girls (ages 4 & 5) - I booked the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian for them! I didn't even know this existed! It sounds like so much fun and I'm a little jealous that it's a 'kids only event'. ;) This is the gift card I got for them:

And for our last little flower girl (age 3) - I booked an afternoon appointment for the Downtown Disney Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for her! :wizard: Goes along with this gift card:

So, we are currently making special little cards describing where they get to go and include the gift card to pay for the events! I'm so excited for them! We're going to give these gifts at our rehearsal brunch and immediately after it's over we're splitting up and taking them to their respective activities--YAY! :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a great weekend and survived the heatwave!

Ellie sweetie - Love the gift ideas!!! Very thoughtful!! I saw the tail end of a 'Wonderland Tea Party' on my last trip. It looked so much fun!!

Those are AWESOME gift ideas! I never thought of that! I have 3 ringbearers! All under the age of 6 lol. I am so stealing that idea for Lego land lol Thank you!

 Yeah, I know I don't want to do any sort of toiletries, because those are available in all the gift shops. I would like to do some sort of little snack and then some sort of Disney souvenir, but I don't know what I can get in bulk and for cheap! :confused3

Joining in! Better late than never right!?

Thanks for joining! There's still plenty of things to be done, so you should be quite entertained! ;)

Just chiming in--- those are the most thoughtful gifts ever. They're going to love them. :) (I'll bet the parents will too!)
