Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

 Yeah, I know I don't want to do any sort of toiletries, because those are available in all the gift shops. I would like to do some sort of little snack and then some sort of Disney souvenir, but I don't know what I can get in bulk and for cheap! :confused3

I feel the same way about the toiletries. I did make postcards through Vistaprint with pictures of the castle to go in the bags, but I'd like to do another sort of Disney souvenir as well... need something that will take up more room in the bag! Also, I have to mention how cute your gifts are for your wedding party members!

Hi,

I read your whole PJ last night, I just had to read through it to the very end in one sitting but couldn't reply because I had to go to bed. You have some awesome ideas, I think your color scheme is fantastic and I LOVE your collages.

I know I am a little late in saying this but CONGRATULATIONS on everything! I look forward to future posts!

Sweet Danielle (and sweet Catherine) - Last time I looked they served snacks in the gift shops too!!:lmao: Loving the postcard idea!!
The things which people seemed most grateful for in my welcome bags were the manicure set, the Bare Necessities kit (first aid etc), the little sewing kit, the stain remover wipes (I packed some of these into my day bag for the actual VR too) and two things which I put in at the last minute, and seemed to get used were a shoeshine pad and dry shampoo :confused3 HTH.
Funnily enough, I didn't put any snacks in mine at all. I didn't want to drag them with me on the plane as I don't think they would have been too appetizing after being squashed in the case all that time, and also I figured with us all being on the DDP we would have more than enough food!!!!

Hi Danielle!

I just finished reading all of your PJ. popcorn::

Loved all of these things: E-pix, cake, door/window hangers, colors, dress, jewelry, well, ok, everything. :goodvibes

You two are so cute and I can't wait to see how your wedding turns out. I'm thinking any bare necessities would be appreciated by anyone that forgot or didn't think to bring some items that come in handy at the parks. Also, Disney trading pins are pretty cheap on eBay. I was thinking of putting a PhotoPass card in each of my welcome bags with a note saying that we were buying a photo CD for all of our guests and we'd send them copies of their photos during their time.

Just some thoughts on your Welcome Bags. :)

Oh and your door hanger problem with the people who are staying deluxe (if it still is a problem or you haven't made them yet), what about poster mounts? They are easy to remove after use and people could then stick the sign on their doors.

I love love love your guestbook. It makes me want to scrap mine and get that one!!! Isn't it amazing when you see something Disney and you just have to have it and it doesn't matter the cost!! My DF thinks I am crazy sometimes.

Your invitations are beautiful. I love those colors together.

The gifts for the flower girls and ring bearer are so thoughtful.

I can't believe you are so close to your date!!!

How cute!

Thanks, dear! :)

I love those gift cards!

Thank you, Vicki!

Just chiming in--- those are the most thoughtful gifts ever. They're going to love them. :) (I'll bet the parents will too!)

LOL. Yes, I agree! I'm pretty sure the parents are going to LOVE them more than the kids!

Ooooh, postcards are such a cute idea, but yes--I agree...I need to figure out something that will take up more room IN the bag. :rotfl:

Awwww, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed reading my planning journal! Thanks for all the compliments as well.

Haha, I love how the shoeshine pad and dry shampoo were the most used items...who would have known?! Luckily, we're shipping most of the goodies down a head of time, but we'll see what I come up with! I don't want to go too overboard with the welcome bags, but at the same time they're for our guests!

Hello!! Thanks for reading along!
I LOVE that idea about the photopass CD! That's so neat. I also am an avid pin-junkie, so I have thought about that, but I don't think my guests will get into it...They're all "too old" or "too mature" But we'll see. Thanks for all the compliments as well--they're greatly appreciated!

Ahhhh, don't remind me! I'm almost in the double-digits now and it's starting to catch up to me! Thank you, thank you, thank you! (And I agree about buying Disney things, no matter what the cost!) ;)

Sweet Danielle (and sweet Catherine) - Last time I looked they served snacks in the gift shops too!!:lmao: !

Joanne, so true! :rotfl: I definitely loved your welcome bag goodies!

Danielle, I recently chatted with my older brother about welcome bags (he and his wife have been to sooo many weddings). He said that it's exciting to get them and he appreciates things that you can eat the most... otherwise they usually end up throwing out the other stuff. :confused3 He's brutal, but honest I suppose!

Tee Hee - I think you are right about men appreciating things to eat, but I still think that ladies appreciate the practical things as well!!

Well, that's some good and honest feedback! I guess I can work off of that and get some ideas flowing. :)

Just a quick post-

99 days until we are in Disney World!!! :yay:

DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE!!!
:dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2::cool1:

Hello again fellow 11/11er! Can you believe only 102 days til our weddings??? :yay:I've been busy as all get out and haven't been on much recently, so it was nice to relax with a cup of coffee and peruse all your updates!!! :surfweb: We FINALLY got our planning session & menu tasting scheduled for this coming Thursday. I'm sooooooo beyond excited! :cheer2: Your updates on the prices and stuff you done are a HUGE help! I have an idea of what some of the things are that I want now. Makes it easier going into it when you need to stay within a budget. ;) The one flaw in Disney's way of planning- that you have to go into everything except the menus pretty much blind. :scared1: It would make life a lot easier if I had some idea what specific items cost BEFORE the planning session. Like florals (how much more is it to have a peony bouquet or centerpiece than a tulip?), or even simple decor items (would it be so hard to have a list of pricing on the vases & candles?). Since a Bride only gets one Planning Session, wouldn't it make the meeting more conducive to time when you go in with a clear idea of cost & vision? :confused3
Excuse my little rant. It's my only gripe, I promise!
You look absolutely radiant in your pics. What a cute couple! I LOVE your cake. Gorgeous! It's actually quite similar to mine. In fact, a lot of our stuff is quite similar lol. Same date, same themed engagement pics (kind of, I'm doing a Snow White type thing too), same style cake, heck- we even look a little alike! I guess great minds do think alike! Anyway, can't wait to read more!

:wave2: Cheryl

Duh, totally forgot. the Welcome Bags. I'll be putting in a snack (for the people that are starved when they get off the plane// out of the car after the long trip), maybe a few Oranges since it's something Florida's known for, and super cheap too; bottled water with a personalized label (super easy to make); gum/breath mints/listerine strips; a map of Disney; brochures (free at Disney, I'm sure your Resort/ Planner can give you a few things to fill it with at no charge) & a 'Things To Know' Sheet: it includes an itinerary, favorite restaurants that we recommend, a printout of directions to important places from Google Maps (in case they don't get internet access), and most importantly- a list of contact info (cellphones, room #'s, etc) for designated people to keep in contact with guests for emergencies or last minute questions (we'll have lists specific to each side of the family or group of friends so one person isn't getting calls from 100 different people all weekend). Another must have in ours- A Hangover Kit, also called 'It's been a Long Day Kit' or 'The Morning After Kit' which includes small packets of ibuprofen, Tums, and (if money allows) a mini bottle/can of Gatorade or Ginger Ale. For families with kids we'll also include a coloring book, crayons, candy, Capri-Suns (super inexpensive, and better than sodas from the vending machines), and I'm gonna hit the Dollar Store which has all kinds of Disney goodies for, well, a dollar. I have a million ideas; let me know if you need more. Eventually I'll get around to putting it all in my own Journal lol!

Hi, Cheryl! I really appreciate you reaching out to me again! I really enjoy your posts. :) I'm so happy to hear you are having your planning session on Thursday--You will have an amazing time!!!
And thank you for all the sweet compliments. I love that we have so many similarities--it's like some kind of phenomenal 11/11/11 power.
I also LOVE your hangover kit for the welcome bags...I know quite a few people that will need that! :rotfl: So I think I will definately try to do something along those lines. Thanks for all the great ideas. I hope you do start a planning journal, I'd love to read along! Take care!

Hello, everyone!

I've still been on the hunt for bridesmaid jewelry and I found some necklaces/earrings I actually like. They're not white pearls, like I originally imagined...but I'd appreciate any feedback/opinions! I sent the pictures to my Mommy and she's stuck like I am...we like both of them and feel either could work:

(I photoshopped the top of the girls dresses onto me so I could get a feel for the neckline. They are a combo of brown and champagne in real life, but showing up kinda dusty from my cellphone pics, haha.)

What do you all think?

I like the first set better. Not sure what it is about them. But I can deffinitely see why your torn.
