Yesterday was the 1st day of school and it was weird for me b/c I no longer have kids attending. I've had someone in school since my daughter started Kindergarten in 1996. Strange. However, at work I will be getting kids ready for school. Speaking of which, I better get moving.

That must be a strange feeling. Though getting kids ready for school and bed are my least favorite tasks. My kids fight getting up and going to sleep.

Well HELLOOOOOO~~~

did you miss me?

I can't recall the last time I was here.... and there's no way I'm going back to catch up... barely have enough time to stop my head in to say hello... so.. anyone want to summarize what I missed in the last few months or so?

as for me.... still a lot of chaos... the kids went back to school yesterday... now they are in 2 places... 2 in HS and 2 in elementary... my baby started kindergarten yesterday... my oldest dd is still swimming... and there was a lot of drama involved with that and the coaches over the last few months.... (hopefully things will straighten out as we move forward)... my middle DD moved up to HS and tried out for the volleyball team... it's the only thing she said she wanted to do... and luckily she made the cut... ( 26 girls tried out for 7 freshman spots...) yeah!.... and my middle DS is doing pee wee football.... he's having fun and I love it... and finally mu little guy is starting Kindergarten and we're going to sign him up for swimming too.... I don't know how we'll get everyone to where they need to be.. but hopefully it will work out.

We just got back from a little mini vacation from lake george and the adirondacks.... and then to visit my dad in the poconos... it was fun, but I miss my mom. It was much needed... on top of my DH car breaking down the week before we were supposed to go, and it was major repairs. 2K to fix UGH..... but still I just had to be thankful that it didn't happen on the way to lake george. Still wish I had a disney vacation planned... but nothing yet...
still working and been busy as we are building a new building, and that is keeping us busy on top of our everyday work. I painted my family room this week too, which really needed it... but the colors didn't come out like I was hoping. so I repainted... and flipped the colors.. but still think it's just the wrong shade... may have to do it one more time...

tonight we're heading up to watch the Eagels and the Jets play the pre-season football.... should be a nice night... I don't know if there will be any starters playing... so.. lots going on.. but not much at the same time... how bout you gals!

Great to read your update! You ARE busy, busy, busy!! (not busty -- we won't go there.... ). I haven't been around here much myself so we can sort of catch up together. Any plans for the long weekend? We are going to an amusement park tomorrow; Sunday I have a gals' day planned; and Monday we're just staying home (IL's are coming over) and we'll grill up some noms.

Welcome back Daisyyy! It's been slow, so not much to catch you up on.

I put my order in for my Magic Bands! But I messed it up and haven't been able to set my fast pass times. I have to call tomorrow to get it fixed. I'm very excited to see how they work. I ordered hot pink for me.

I've got two resort ressies; so I'm getting the pink AND red bands for myself. FP+ are all locked in.

No real plans for the weekend.... well.. we had a wedding yesterday, and it was a nice day and night out for my DH and I. Today we did some furniture shopping, and I painted the baseboard in my kitchen. I painted my family room last week, and now if I buy the furniture I want, it's not exactly the right shade / tone... so I may have to re-do it. we'll see, Tomorrow my DH wants to visit his mom. it'd the 12th anniversary of when my FIL passed so he wants to go to the cemetery. I'm still a little unsure if I want to visit the cemetery... I think I will have a break down .

I have NO interest in setting my FP times so far in advance (never mind it kills the spontaneity of being able to scrap one park and head to another if it's too busy).....But! I'm excited about the Magic Bands in all other respects. Can't wait to try one. I also like the hot pink! I may end up getting purple, though, since I want to buy one of the little decorative sleeves, the one that looks like the Haunted Mansion wallpaper!

That I could get into. Esp. for Toy Story at DHS....! Granted they've put a stop to the actual "running of the bulls", but it's still crazy!! In the past I've done that -- went to the FP booth and got my ticket, got in line to ride, did my FP ride shortly thereafter, and by that time I just wanted to get out of that area and away from the crowds!

I've lined up TSMM, RnRC and Star Tours for DHS.
And the other line up is FoTLK, EE and Kali at AK.

Epcot stars are Soarin', Test Track and Maelstrom. I've lined Soarin' and TT up for at least two days.

I've lined up Splash, Enchanted Tales with Belle, BTRRM, Space Mountain, PoTC, Buzz and Autopia at MK over two or three days.

The pain is that you can't split them over two parks if you're hopping. So, aside from the whole new world of merchandising opening up, there is now a whole new world of strategizing to consider with FP+. Analysis. Paralysis.
