Summer is going? Not done here. Not for a long time. So you will definitely get a taste next week. I'm full time now so we probably won't be able to do a Starbucks meet! Rats.

I just made plans today for an October trip to F&WF for the Party for the Senses. It's expensive, but that's what I want for my birthday (a few weeks earlier.) Just a night out as adults at Epcot!

I think you and I will miss each other. I arrive very late on the 29th and will check out on the 7th. Pity. Would have been nice to put a face to the name. Maybe next time.

Yeah, sadly I wasn't even thinking it would work this time anyway. I don't get in until later on Friday (which should put me sitting square on the Howard Frankland right at 5pm...... ) and initially I wasn't even sure I'd have a car. Next trip should be January, maybe we could sneak in a Sat. or Sun. meet then?? If push comes to shove, you'll just have to come up for what could only be termed an epic meet with Tink and I in May!!

Oh boy.. unless I was forced to use the magic bands for fast passes, I think i'd just as well get them when I get there. It might be nice to have the passes and room charge attached to it, but the rest, I think I could do without.. It wouldn't be the first time Disney came up with an idea nad tried it out, but didn't turn out like they expected. we'll see what happens. like.. what ever happened to Disney Institute?

So... I actually have something to look forward to.... No.. not Disney... I wish... drum roll please......





A cruise..... I just booked a cruise for just me and DH.... in January... not a disney cruise... but actually when DH and I went on our honeymoon we spent a week in Disney, and then we took a week cruise to the western carribean... so... we decided, that we both needed a little break, and vacation just us.. (especially me)... I got my dad to agree to watch the kids. Bless Him!.... and we are going to take a week and go back on the same boat we went on for our honeymoon... (which has since been fully refurbished... ).... and is stopping at different ports.. so same boat, different places.. we leave from Miami... and I can't wait!!!

Of course I told the kids and they want to know why they can't go.. (I feel guilty.. but not this time.. it's time for me and DH... it's been so long that we seriously need this.. ) AND.... I didn't realize cruises are pretty cheap.... I mean.. I didn't book us a suite.. or balcony... just a basic ocean view stateroom in the center of the boat.. it's just $219 + taxes, etc.. total for the two of us is under $600.... Yes... It doesn't include the excursions, but that might make a nice christmas gift.. So.... if anyone else wants to book a cruise... PM me, and I can give you details... + if you book, I could get a gift card for referring... just sayin' Oh.. so after I tell my son.. (my 9yo) who is typically a very nervous worry wart child.. he sees something on tv.. about a cruise ship sinking and the passengers escaping death.. now he is scared to death and doesn't want us to go.. UGH...

So, YAY for a cruise!! My dad and his wife love cruising! Matter of fact they are going again next month. I'd love to try it, but it would have to be a Disney cruise! Alone time with DH is important. Me and mine are way overdue. Hoping to get back to Vermont next spring (we used to go up there every year around our anniversary for a long weekend).

One of my coworkers just left this morning... and of course was rubbing it in. not really.. but before she left, she said to me.. I'll have a dole whip for you.... uh.. thanks... no.. We will just miss each other. I have to leave early on the 29th so DH and DD14 can go to the Fall Out Boy/Panic at the Disco concert in Tampa.

I got a PM on Facebook yesterday morning. It was from a lady who, long story short, heard from this person or that person that my DS16 was the one who took her son's bike. We confronted DS; he admitted it, and not only offered to replace the bike (which I guess is now in parts all over town among other bikes...) but give the kid some money as well. I messaged the lady back, we had a pleasant back-and-forth conversation, and since everything had gone smoothly, she would not go to the police with this. My DS saw the kid yesterday after school, and they came to an agreement.

Tonight I get another PM from this lady. Since she has not seen my DS or the bike, she is sorry but she'll be taking this matter to the cops in the morning.

I messaged her back essentially saying, are you freaking KIDDING me???!!! Does she expect us to snap our fingers and magically produce a bike?! I told her DS had classes this morning, worked this afternoon, and on top of that it has been POURING all day, so he wouldn't have been out there building a bike anyway!!! She's given us 24 hours?......REALLY????!!!!

SO. MAD.

If she doesn't back off or I don't hear from her again tonight, I'm going to beat her to the station tomorrow, and bring a print-out of our "conversation." She won't have a leg to stand on as far as the cops are concerned -- guilt was admitted, and steps have already been taken to fix the situation.

Oh hon I so feel for you!! This is just sucky. I still have it today, not as bad but I'm not "normal" yet. Thank goodness for the SeaBands to keep the nausea at bay. I have a TON of stuff to get done around the house today. I was also supposed to run this morning but there's just no way.

LM. I hope you're feeling better and the dizziness subsides. Hopefully it won't return, but be cautious , and know your body... if you think it could be something more serious, then get your butt to the dr. right away. maybe just stress... how did everything work out with your son, and the bike issue.

Sadie are you getting ready for Survivor? I think this season will be interesting... they are bringing back alot of the favorites, and their relatives.. I wonder if they will be split up, and or all together... if they will have to do teams, until when... are they going to have to turn on each other eventually? can't wait to see what happens..

MQ.. looking forward to your cruise...? I can't wait.. it's been so long, and now I'm getting nervous about leaving the kids with my dad. it's going to be hard for him... part of me thinks I should cancel.. or bring everybody... but that's impossible.. I feel guilty too.
