The way Cars land was announced as a "reimagined" part of Frontierland, it must be replacing something. I'm inclined to believe the rumor about Tom Sawyer Island is true. I'd be fine with them retheming it for modern audiences, but my kids love that play space. With the shooting gallery and "Laughing Place" playgrounds gone, there won't be anything left in Frontierland that doesn't involve long lines and/or spending more money. Good from Disney's perspective, but not how my family likes to travel.

I would be very upset if Cars land replaced Tom Sawyers Island.

In the heart of the park lies a vile island full of evil. The only only thing to keep this villainy in check is that over shadowed by the castle. Imagine the fireworks show at night if they could launch volleys of evil versus good!

I seriously do not see either the Rivers of America or Tom Sawyer Island going away. There is plenty of room for expansion of the MK without affecting these attractions.

Wish Epcot would get a new country. (I would like Greece. ) I also wanted to see the Mary Poppins ride that was mentioned before.

Still, I think a Cars ride around and over those waterways would be pretty cool. Perhaps the Riverboat and Cars could even coexist in the same space

The first ever D23 in Brazil is happening in November and Epcot news was very minimal this D23…could be a good time to announce a new pavilion in the host country maybe?

I saw the Lion King Land being announced for Disneyland Paris but I'm surprised there not being any Lion King ride at AK at this point. I mean it's pretty much a no-brainer.

Monsters inc and cars get whole lands? Really?

While many of disneys actual hits dont have any rides (tangled, beauty and the beast, lion king, jungle book) and many have small unimaginative and boring rides (aladdin, little mermaid, frozen). Disney doesnt know its audience. Villians sounds great if they follow through (but details are very vague). At best, 2 out of 7 new rides being the actual disney ip people care about isnt enough.

Well, at least Florida can't get an Avenger's Campus thanks to Universal. The land in California is extremely underwhelming so I'm glad it won't come to WDW.

I thought the restriction for the Marvel characters in FL was limited to a certain few. What about the rest of Marvel? Not that I'm a Marvel follower though.

Disney is not allowed to use any character that is present in Marvel Superhero Island, which includes all of the Avengers and Spiderman. Very unsure about Black Panther but seeing as Disney teased Wakanda and never spoke of it again, he may be included in that as well.

The Guardians are not at Marvel Superhero Island which is why Cosmic Rewind was allowed to exist in WDW.

First of all, I have to say I'm excited about everything announced. Instead of picking things apart (like why modern cars will be featured in the wild west), I'm going to be happy we are getting something.

Reading about Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America now. I can get why some people will be disappointed about this, but in all the times I have visited WDW, I have never set foot on TSI and I have ridden the riverboat once. Maybe I'll check out the island in November just because I know it is going away (or being rethemed). I won't be sad about losing them though.
