D23 Expo ~ Up for a meet? *UPDATE 9/10: Plans added to 1st post*

Check-in here if you're coming to the D23 Expo in Anaheim this September. Post your dates and I'll edit as we go. We have tickets for 9/13.

Is anyone interested in a meet on any of the days? Suggestions are welcome!

Saturday, 9/12: Dinner in the Wharf Area of DCA around 6:30pm. Nothing set in stone yet.

Sunday, 9/13: No plans made yet, any suggestions?

If we go it will be the 11th but it depends how tired we are when we get off our flight. We only have that day as we fly to Orlando the following day but I really wanted to squeeze it in.

Hi Chrysty,

We met at the Backstage tour weekend. I am coming down for the expo and think we should definately have at least one meet if not more! There are a couple of threads in the Disneyland board already about who is going. I enjoyed our meet at the Lost Bar last time.

I am coming with my niece who is 13. Do you think she could sit inside at a table if we did a meet? I just thought about the Lost Bar as some people might not have park tickets.

PS. I am also coming for the 1/2 marathon weekend. I won't be able to make the Sunday night meet as we are going home that day since we will be back the next weekend! Hopefully I can make one of the other meets.

Thanks for the head's up, Don! I did a search before I posted about this, but didn't come up with much. I posted on the DL board and one girl responded that she had a thread going for September, but I checked it out and there doesn't seem to be much happening in the way of meets, especially around D23. I'm going to add a link in my OP for that thread because I don't want to step on toes, but I think we're OK to keep ours going. Did you find other threads that I might have missed?

I'm gonna try. We just got back from WDW (plus the quick trip to DL for the tour in June), so it's gonna take some convincing. I'm thinking, if I buy me wife an iPhone, she might let me come. Bribery usually works, right??

My niece thinks it would be cool to meet some other disers. She posted on the teen boards to see if anyone was going. She found one other teen diser. But according to the thread on the DL boards it looks like there are some more teens going as well. Do you think the Lost Bar would work or should we think of somewhere else? Isn't there something right next to the bar where they could get a soda and mingle?

You know, parents are always welcome to come. It establishes more trust in your Internet activities.

If you need more incentive to bring parents, look at the Teen Board moderator, Gibson. He's in high school and took his mom on the cruise - and then they won the trip for the second cruise!

I ordered my wife an iPhone last night. She's gonna be so surprised (or she's gonna kill me). I already got the ok from her to go to the expo, but I'm tired of her borrowing my iPhone.

My buddy won't know his work schedule until a couple of weeks before hand. Is there any danger of this thing selling out??

I'm not sure about the risk of selling out, but I got a little worried so we bought tickets for just the 1 day.
