CVS Weekly 4/26-5/2

I agree about the Band Aids. I couldn't find anything cheaper than $2.99. Very misleading!

I had read on afullcup.com that there are trial size bandaids that are $1. I've looked in all the CVS' I shop in and haven't seen them.

Hey I only went out and bought 2 or 3 Sunday papers while I was at Disney... I did bring my CVS card with me and a coupon for a script just in case anyone got sick and we had to go to CVS to get meds. :rolleyes1

You might be a CVS addict if you hope your family gets sick and needs a prescription while on vacation. ;) (Just kidding. I know you didn't "hope" for them to get sick! But its better to be prepared.)

ok, you guys are my heros. I haven't been in the right frame of mind to figure out this whole CVS thing, but now I think I am. Can someone direct me to a post that explains how this works?

Tx!

Thanks as always for posting this! I'm still getting my "CVS legs" but it's getting better.

Where are the IP's for the All? I'm going to make a CVS run tonight to stock up before our trip and could really use one, we leave for WDW in the morning!

If you google 3m (my links aren't working) there is a pdf ip for Command hooks ($2.50 off) the sale price is $2.50 so free! If you print 6 it's a $5 mm

I looked for some of my old posts, but can't find anything generic.

First, you need an Extra Care Card, which are free at CVS. Fill out the form and give your address and email address because eventually you will get coupons sent to you. Coupons from CVS can be used with manufacturer coupons on the same item(s).

What we do is buy the items that are advertised each week as "free" after Extra Bucks or work out to be free (or nearly free) after Extra Bucks and coupons.

It takes about $20 to get started and then you just buy the items advertised each week that work out to be free or nearly free.

You pay for new items with the Extra Bucks you earn, then pay about $1 for tax, etc. and then earn more to be used on your next shopping trip.

You need to start saving every coupon you can find and saving inserts from Sunday newspapers.

The easiest way to get started is to copy what others here are buying if you have the same coupons. If you need to look up where a coupon came from, this is a database: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon.php "SS" means Smart Source and "RP" or "V" means Red Plum (Sunday paper inserts).

There are limits each week as to how many of the sale item you can buy and earn Extra Bucks on. For example, if you had two $1 coupons for Crest toothpaste this week (which has a limit of 2), you could buy one at $1.99, use your coupon, pay 99 cents, and earn $1 Extra Buck. Then you could get another, use your coupon, use your $1 Extra Buck (it would be adjusted down to 99 cents) and pay nothing and earn $1 Extra Buck (for your next shopping trip). Your total cost for both would be 99 cents and you'd have $1 for next time.

Another example this week is a Garnier shampoo, conditioner or styling product. If you had a $1 coupon, you could buy one at $2.99, use your $1 coupon, pay $1.99 and earn a $2 Extra Buck to spend on your next shopping trip (or in the next transaction).

I printed coupons last night but haven't been out yet, sure hope I can find 6 of them. Great deal!

Haven't seen them at CVS but I did see some Hello Kitty ones in the travel section for $1 at Target today.

 Well after our December miserable trip where we all got the Norwalk virus I wanted to be overprepared for anything! We now keep cans of chicken noodle soup, saltines, gatorade, clorox wipes and lysol in our Owner's Locker in case that ever happens again!

Hi Lisa - that was your 2000th post!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: Congrats, Lisa!

I went to CVS today and did the 3M command hooks deal. The first CVS only had 5 so I had to stop at another to grab another one. Gotta love a $5MM!!

The first CVS I also did the scrubbing bubbles/fantastik deal and boy was that a pain! Nothing was ringing up correctly and I had to bring the cashier to different items 4 times! She had to manually adjust a bunch of stuff and then my ECB didn't print :( But we had the supervisor come over and manually print them.

The second CVS didn't have any of the sale stuff marked (and there is no scanner!). But thankfully I grabbed the right tylenol PM and neosporin and worked that deal.

All in all today I spent $5.xx and got $90 worth of stuff. Not too bad!!

I stopped at CVS on my way home from work tonight. I got the $2 off 2 gold Emblem nuts AND the Lumene CRT :cool1:.

So I got:
Lumene Face wipes FREE

2 packs Almonds FREE

1 3M hook FREE after IP coupon (my store didn't have the metal ones labeled with a tag. And they were quite a lot more expensive than the others ($6.99 vs. $3.49) so I went to the scanner and found out they were included in the 2/$5 deal!

Garnier hairspray (40% bonus size) Free after ECB and coupon

2 bottles of tylenol (I am going to buy a pack of OB to finish the ECB deal but didn't have a coupon with me) My mom is only allowed to take Tylenol so I got this for her. I have a shelf full of Excedrin, but she can't have that.

Charmin $2ECB

Bounty

I went in because we needed the Charmin and Bounty and all the other stuff was just extra!!

It's kind of crazy that Excedrin doesn't make a formula with just acetaminophen, they always have to put something else in with it.

I printed coupons last night but haven't been out yet, sure hope I can find 6 of them. Great deal!
Good luck! I found 2 at my local store and 2 more at another store. Tomorrow I'll do my usually banking and grocery shopping in another town so hopefully I find 2 more.

what are command hooks?

THey are hooks you can put on the wall w/o nails or screws. Just follow the directions and you can have a hook to put up say a holiday decoration or lights. When you're done slide the hook up off the base and pull the sticky pad thingie (hows that for technical phrasing? :lmao: ) downward and then you can remove the base. They are re-usable and available in various sizes and materials. The best deal now is to print 6 sets of the coupons (they scan perfectly) use the 2.50 coupon for the large metal hooks that are 2/5 (no shelf sticker stating that price) and buy 6 total hooks. That gets your total to 15 and you'll get 5 ECB back. So it's a $5 moneymaker!!!!

LOL - I think the OKW trip is way more exciting than Bounty!

I don't know... paper towels get me goin'.... :rotfl:

How fun!!! We love OKW - the 1 bedrooms there are HUGE!

What part of July are you guys going? We have airfare for my 40th bday in August but only have 7 points left for the year with none available to borrow. As much as I want to go to WDW I just can't fathom paying for accomodations!

Right now the plan is to go the 12-17th. DH is on the fence... but we're booked... so well he goes or I still go with the kiddies and smiller. REMEMBER HER? She's SO MIA on this CVS thread. :scared1:

Clarabelle: If you have any tips please PM me about OKW. I requested close to the hospitality house since I know I'll need to get "beverages" with my refillable mug and the "other" kind often. Any other tips???!!!:rolleyes1

Maggie: Please forgive me for being such a space case with my little party! :guilty:See... you got the bounty too. paper towels are cool!:3dglasses

I am so proud of myself, I just got over $90 worth of products for under $11 oop plus $4 ECB's! I need to build up my ECB's now because that's all I have.

The basic summary (sorry, I have to leave for the airport in less than 6 hours and still have to pack, shave and do my nails!)- I had (3) 2/2 Gold Emblem Nuts so got 4 packages of trail mix free, then had a 2/10 CVS brand on top of it, and a $5/25 (now I did screw up here because I had a $10/50 as well but waited until the end to give it to him and my total was too low by then, or I could have used the $5/25 on my second transaction). Had to get a rain check for the command hooks. Also did the Garnier deal on two cards but didn't have any coupons, and used another $2/10 CVS brand coupon for that transaction. I also had $3 off any cosmetic and $3 off any skin care scanner coupons so I got two Maybeline Mascaras for $0.79, and I did the free crest deal. Sorry it's so jumbled and not complete, I would usually list it all out for you. Basically I did it all with my scanner coupons and only 2 manufacturer coupons. :thumbsup2

Ok, I haven't been paying attention because I thought I was done with the deals this week, but then I got some CRT's....

I have a $5/$15 Tresemme CRT. What is the best way to use it?

Also what is the scrubbing bubble/fantastik deal?

I have already mentally checked out for vacation and I don't leave until next Friday :lmao:
